This is the 4-8-4 that the Pennsy made in my timeline.

They were first built in 1942. As the M1 series 4-8-2s were becoming weak in the late 30s and at the onslaught of the Second World war. As such, They more or less took the M1 and gave it a bigger firebox. Plus other things like semi streamlining. Thus, creating a massive mixed traffic engine. They worked alongside the other steam engines and later diesels. Pulling mainly portions of various passenger trains (often long distance stopping trains) and freight. 

Like most other steam engines in the United States, they are still at work to this day. Complete with economic modifications when such are present to be placed in locomotives.
