CO S-4 4-8-6s by mrbill6ishere CO S-4 4-8-6s by mrbill6ishere
This is my idea for if the C&O had bought the Lima idea of a 4-8-6 engine. I was thinking they could be named Ohios.

S-4: This first version was used mainy on mixed traffic. Built by Lima in 1950.
S-4a: This version was the same as the S-4, but with L class hudson like streamlining for passenger trains.
S-4b: In 1946. The C&O tested some Pennsy T1s on their lines. But they were upset by wheelslip. So they went to Lima. Which took the engines and used them to make 4-8-6s. The PRR itself chose to have similar engines to work alongside the T1s. Later, similar ones went to railroads like the Santa fe or Southern.

Futuristic design. I bet Lima would accept the proposal.
