Ignat is the type of a person to be everyone's 'brother', younger or older. He deeply and honestly cares about people around him and his interest in other's lives is always pure and sincere. He is the kind of a person to eagerly listen to an old man's stories,no matter how many times he has already heard them, give a helping hand and a useful advice to an awkward trainee, drink all night with a heartbroken friend until their sadness is completely drowned in alcohol, feed stray cats and dogs and etc.
However, as much as he likes to take care of other people, he is completely clueless of their emotional state unless is it being stated or demonstrated directly, so if someone tells him they're fine while not being so, he's most likely to belive that (unless  it is being said through tears, of course). 
Being raised in a very down-to-earth family, Ignat has no understanding of courtesy whatsoever. He's quick on asking questions and throwing around phrases that are not appropriate for a given situation, with all the best intentions, but without a realization that keeping silent would be a better choice of action. The only situations where he manages to avoid such behaviour are the ones restricted by military subordination. 
Ignat is increadibly naive when it comes to trusting people, which has made him an unsuspecting victim of con artists quite a few times. If an old lady stops him on the street and tells him that he's cursed, you can be 100% sure he'll readily give her money to remove the curse. Despite serving in the military, Ignat is a very pacifistic person who tries to avoid conflict at any cost, even if he is the one being wronged.

History:

Born the 4th child and the 3rd son in a farmer's family, Ignat spent most of his youth living with his family in the farmlands surrounding Bratkowice. With his family heavily valuing traditions, Ignat was brought up in an atmosphere of strong family bonds, united neighbourship, respect for the elderly and care for the young. Since the early childhood and up until the age of 14 Ignat was working hard to help his parents and brothers maintain the farm, until part of their crops caught a disease and a big prtion of their fields became infertile. Not being prepared for a such a drastic change, the family soon encountered finacial problems which resulted in their stavation and the death of Ignat's infant sister. At that point, the young man realized that their family needed fundings that did not  rely entirely on their crops. 

After having a long discussion with his father, Ignat decided to leave the farm and move to the coastline and work for his uncle that maintained a fishing boat and was offering him a job. After spending a few years there, ignat realized that it was also not a stable source of income to serve as a significant support for his family and, with the advice of his father and uncle, decided to join the military forces, choosing to become a navy due to already having some basic knowledge about sailing thanks to his uncle. 

Joining the military at the age of 18, he has already spent 8 years in the navy forces, earning the rank of Ensign. He is currently assigned to Undine - Admiral Diefenbach's personal battlecuiser. His primary duty is to manage trainees and lower-ranked personnel on board, due to his people skills, and posing as Admiral's bodyguard off boeard, due to his mean-looking face and tall stature that people unaware of his soft nature may find intimidating. 

Additional info:

- Keeps in touch with his family very closely and sends most of his salary back home.
- Is unaware of the fact that his hopeful mother saves most of the money he sends for his future wedding instead of spending it on current family needs. 
- Has 4 siblings - two older brothers, an older sister and a younger brother. Used to have a younger sister that died as an infant when he was a teenager. 
- Has a nice singing voice, as singing was his family's most favoirite form of evening entertainment.
- Is actually the smallest male in his family, with exception of his youngest brother who is still growing.
