Game for the Dead

By Mr-Ripley
We believe that if we do good things,
angels will take us to heaven when we die.
If we do bad things,
demons will drag us to hell.

But if we do both good and bad things equally,
Demons and angels will find a way
to judge who can bring us to their places.

So, if you didn't do many good things,
pray for your angel to win the game.

Dear Ripley, first of all, congratulations for being such an inspiration and for creating such a unique work that has a powerful impact!

I think the strongest point of this artwork is its concept. You've created a very dynamic visual antithesis. The models are very well chosen, you can almost feel the tension and the way they're staring at each other. This looks like a very real game of life and death. I love especially the contrast + the colors from the left side!

If I may make a little suggestion: the right side seems to me just a bit too bright. Maybe a little more contrast would've helped a bit.

However, this is a stunning artwork! Breathtaking. <img src="…" width="20" height="20" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="60" title="Clap"/>

Thank you so much dear Maria for your kind critique and suggestion. Much appreciated. It's very useful to me. I confess that the right side is much harder than the left side. It's like good things are harder to do than bad things. hahaha..  I'll see if I can improve the lighting. :)

Yes, it is a very complex work indeed. But don't change anything about it... It's very beautiful as it is. :)

Playing with the white pieces is an advantage in chess. I guess the angel always has an unfair advantage then since surely a demon would always use the black pieces.
