This awesome work is a commissioned piece I had done by guinnessyde 
, who was having a 10 character sketch sale that I just had to take advantage of! After all, what Superteam has 10 members? THE UNITED!!
This is special for two reasons. This is the first piece of artwork that I have commissioned that shows the team and has all 10 of my greatest heroes on it! Also, this shot is also a reference to one of the classic DC Comic Book Covers done by the Legendary Kevin Maguire: upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia…
I was debating on who should take the place of Guy Gardner in this picture. It came down to Toonman or Aquatide, and I chose Aquatide. With Toonman I could have had a capation that said "Eat Your Heart Out, Kevin Maguire" or something like that, But I thought Aquatide better captured Guy Gardner's Snarky attitude in the cover. Also, I could Totally see Aquatide getting knocked out in one punch by Captain Hollywood or someone from the team and Toonman laughing about it

I actually didn't draw it. The artist who did it is listed in the comments. But it took a while to do.
I love the reference and i really like the characters and the composition. It gives the unique feeling of a vast and varied comic book world.
