Description

Here´s a tutorial how to solve installation-problems with IconPack installers.
First off all....Make Ur own proper backups of the dll files with the same name as those who are located in the system folder

If its a clean install:
* UAC must be turned off
* Run as admin

If U are making install number2 or more and U want to keep windows original files:

* U have to uninstall first
* Then delete backups(located in the data folder)
* UAC must be turned off
* Run as admin

If U are making install number2 or more and U dont give a shit of ever going back to windows ugly shitty icons:

* Then delete backups(located in the data folder)
* UAC must be turned off
* Run as admin

If theres still problems with the install try to take ownership of the dll files by Urself with this [link] and then try to install.

Check out Ur adminstrator Rights by rightclick on the file and select properties - security. In some computers U will have the "Trusted Installer" problem. Google it :)

If U having sound problems follow this tutorial made by Riencovich [link]

1.) Right click on volume control icon in system tray and select sounds.
2.) In sounds right click on the playback device you have been using and select properties.
3.) Select the general tab and click on the properties button.
4.) In propeties general tab select change configuration, a new window should pop up.
5.) In the new window select controllor and push the revert back to previous controllor.

If it works create a restore point!!! Revert back option might no be available next time.
Should get your sound back...

Also a big thank U to Markeight [link] which found out of some incompatibility with IDT Audio. He had to uninstall the driver before he could install the iconpack.

dj2tusk [link] found out that IDT drivers store some data in shell32.dll. So when he installed my pack, the shell32.dll were overwritten, and removed IDT related data.
So the best way to troubleshoot this is to install IDT drivers after installing my pack, so that the shell32.dll is updated for use by IDT.

One more thing, this might be applicable to other drivers as well.

Thats all folks :)
