Mega Roll by Mr-DNA Mega Roll by Mr-DNA
I know I'm not getting points for creativity on that title, but I really don't know what else to call a fighting robot version of Roll. Mega Girl? Giga Girl? Roll Girl if you're in Japan?

Roll Capcom

Huh. Being a fan of Mega Man and seeing fan work, this is just about the only "Battle Roll" which isn't major amounts of fanservive.

Her super art attack in MVC 1 and 2 is called 'Hyper Roll' where she momentarily dons her battle armor and then grows bigger before firing an arsenal on her enemies. So I assume that the term Hyper Roll doesn't just relate to her specific attack but also her form. But whatevs. Love Roll in a combat form!

I'd go Mega Woman/Roll Woman; since even though she is a kid Rock is too and is still refered to by man rather then boy.

Rollwoman is the logical equivalent of Rockman, which would make it Mega Woman in the 'States; however, there are sexist double standards at work which would lead the powers-that-be to dub her Rollgirl and Mega Girl, respectively. The only way to get away from both that and Mega Man's shadow would be to give her a name completely unlike that of her male counterpart. I think I'd prefer Faceroll.

To be fair, the powers-that-be allowed her to three in three different fighting games without a name change. (Not counting her Hyper Roll special.)

As I recall, she was significantly weaker than the other characters in two of those fighting games, and her move set in the third was based off of household chores. I don't really see that as striking a blow for feminism. ;p

Nay, demonstrably weaker in how hard she hits, simply because she's female. They did the same thing with women in the Capcom vs SNK games, which irritated the hell out of me because they made my favorite characters to play as (Cammy and Vice) among the weakest in the series.

(But none of that would keep me from dragging you to an arcade and schooling you with any of the above three, bucko. ;p)

Eh, I'm just having fun playing Devil's Advocate. And you're also perceptive on my being all talk where fighting game skills are concerned. Having said that, you can't really say Roll is weaker in MvC just because she's female. She is literally a little girl. Like three feet tall, and not reprogrammed for fighting like her brother.

Roll Woman if you're in Japan. Mega Woman if you're in the US. He's not 'Mega/Rock Boy' after all.

I'm so sexist! But Roll is so girlish. And Mega Man is also boyish, so there goes that rationalization. What's a fella to do?

Just cause there's no Transformers connection doesn't mean that:

a) the name doesn't work, or
b) you can't use it.

But I still don't want her name to be a sentence. That's weird.
