Tell him there's an escaped rabbit on the loose

Journal Entry: Mon Feb 6, 2012, 8:27 PM
I am loving Sherlock!  Spent the weekend watching that and editing some stuff for a friend's upcoming wedding (while watching Doctor Who).  So all in all a perfect weekend!

I think my favorite episode so far is "A Scandal in Belgravia".  That scene where he's in the sheet.  He's such a child about it!  lol  And I liked "Hounds of Baskerville" but I kept thinking "It's okay George, you'll turn into a werewolf soon" or "Don't worry Alonzo - the Doctor will save you!"  Haha.

But, here I go - about to watch "Reinbach Falls"...  *duh duh duhhhhh*

I've seen enough posts on Tumblr and such to know about the ending.  Why do I have a feeling this will be me before the night is through?

Wish me luck.

PS ~
this really should have gone on my last journal...

PPS ~ I sort of love my own profile right now!  :D  Is it okay that I go look at it when I log on?  No?  Okay.  I regret nothing!  :dummy:

  • Watching: Reinbach Fall
  • Eating: Frosted Lemon Cookies
  • Drinking: Tea

I was just the same about Hound. It was very weird :D Glad you liked it, really. The world can never have enough Sherlockians. :tighthug:

I really did like it! And I loved "Reichenbach Falls"! I am re-watching it tonight. :D

Go check out the "Alone on the Water" fan fic if you haven't yet: [link]

But you will cry! So be careful where/when you read it.

I'll give it a look :D

No, I don't know how he did it. I'm sure Molly had something to do with it...but I don't want to come up with too many theories. :shifty:

Please let me know what you think of that fic. I seriously cried my eyes out for 20 mins when I read it!

Right now my dear friend... I don't know whether I hate you. That was the most heartbreaking emotionally draining story I've ever read in my life. I didn't even cry at Sherlock's swan dive, but that had me in floods to the point my face is raw from crying.

I'm sorry hun. :huggle: I really didn't mean to make you hate me.

I'm right there with you. I didn't cry at Reinchenbach Falls either. But this story?! I could see 'cuz my eyes were so swollen shut!

I hope you can forgive me someday... :saddummy:

I don't really hate you. I was just still upset. That was one hell of a heartbreaking story. I'm so jealous of the writer. They're brilliant. :(

I think the reason I didn't cry at the Fall was because I knew he wasn't really dead. If I hadn't know they stick to the original stories I might have broken down when John did. Luckily Mark and Steven had said from the beginning that they were sticking as close as they could to doyal's plot. Which meant they wouldn't kill Sherlock. :D Now we just have to wait for him to return.

Yeah, I kind of figured you didn't *really* hate me. But I still feel bad that I made you cry that much. Especially since I didn't prepare you for it. :cling:

That writer definitely has skills! It felt like canon. It's not often the characterizations are so accurate! I have seriously considered tweeting that link to Moffat & Gatiss -- like, "See how talented your fans are? If you ever have to kill Sherlock, this is how you do it."

Wouldn't surprise me if it was Gatiss writing fan fic. ha!

I hadn't read any interviews or anything with Moffat, but I did just see the RDJ movie, so I figured he was alive. But the BBC version of his death looked so real! :noes: They had me second guessing myself until the end.

I blame Conan Doyle for spoilers :katana:

Until Reichenbach, I thought 'Sherlock' was technically brilliant, but otherwise not my division. And not a Cumberbatch fan, me. But this episode was just perfect TV (despite being a reprise of DW S.6 finale). And I finally noticed Freeman. So for me it turned out to be a positive experience. :hmm:

Well, I hadn't read all the Conan Doyle Sherlock stories - so I can't blame him. I did see the Downey/Law Sherlock movie recently (where Sherlock fakes his own death at the waterfall taking Moriarty with him) so I kinda knew what was coming...

I love Martin Freeman! He is great in every episode, but Reichenbach for sure! I'm excited to see where they will go from here.

The other way round here - haven't seen the second film yet, but have read _everything_ when I was a kid, was a bit obsessed. Also watched the Granada series, Jeremy Brett is incredible.

Oh yes, Freeman is wonderful in all episodes, but I wasn't paying attention (and I didn't know him as an actor, don't really watch comedies). So many possibilities how to continue, hope they don't rest on their laurels.

Good! I think the casting on the show is very good. I'm glad BC didn't get the part as the 11th Doctor. He's a much better fit as Sherlock.

I can see him as the Doctor. Don't know what Matt Smith was doing in the auditions for Watson though.

What?! Weird. Martin Freeman is the perfect Watson. Oh Moffat - you really could have made a mess of that.

If you are a emotional person, I can tell you now, you will need about 500 boxes of tissues to watch the ending. )':

I am emotional - but I didn't cry. Now I feel dead inside. I wish I had cried. I blame Tumblr & all the spoilers for my lack of feelings.

Here is my reaction, in a nutshell: [link]

I think if I didn't know the spoilers, I would be sobbing right now. And I'm sure now that I can re-watch it with less distraction I'll get into what the emotions of it are. Martin Freeman did an amazing job! I'm kind of in love with John Watson now. (His more than Jude Law's... which is odd since I like Jude Law...)
