Species: Great Curassow (bruine hokko)

Latin name: Crax Rubra

Originates from Central America.

Current status: Vulnerable

Did you know:

…While males all look the same – black with a curly crest and yellow beak – females come in three morphs: barred, rufous and black.

… Great Curassows form small groups, forage mostly on the ground but roost and nest in trees.

…It is the most massive and heavy species in the family.
