THE GREAT MOUSE DETECTIVE 2: A NEW BEGINNING A "Great Mouse Detective" Fanfiction By The Mouse Avenger Chapter 9: More Exciting Escapades Part 9 After everyone agreed to meet up again later in Trafalgar Square, the Baker Street Family, Madame Ratburn, & Pias went to the former's house to prepare for the forthcoming investigation. Then, as twilight began to fall over Mouse London, our pint-sized protagonists & their pals rode Toby to the mouse street of Prokes Avenue (known to us humans as Stokes Road), located in the East End. As if Mother Nature had perfectly set the mood for the current scene, the streets were filled with thick fog

THE GREAT MOUSE DETECTIVE 2: A NEW BEGINNING A "Great Mouse Detective" Fanfiction By The Mouse Avenger Chapter 9: More Exciting Escapades Part 8 (CUE MUSIC: "Neptune", from Gustav Holst's "The Planets") It only took a short while for Pias & the Baker Street Family to reach the main grounds of the Mouse Gypsy Caravan, & once they had arrived there, they went to Madame Ratburn's wagon, climbing up the small wooden staircase to approach the front door. "Well, here we are!" Pias proclaimed. He lifted up his cane, & used it to knock on the door. A few seconds passed, but no answer came from inside the wagon. Continuing to knock on th

Our pint-sized protagonists purchased their tickets & treats, before making their way to the auditorium where "Harry Landon" was being screened. OUAF Nightmares of the Gas

One night in Dapperwood, not long after the Furling’s Adventure, Abigail Woodmouse had difficulty sleeping at night. Even though she knew everything turned out good in the end, Michelle Badger was cured from the gas thanks to the Lung-worth and EyeBright Herbs, everyone in Dapperwood is okay, but for some reason, something was bothering her. She started to get flashbacks of the gas in Dapperwood, what it did in Michelle’s House; Michelle in the coma. Could still hear Michelle coughing and moaning from the gas. Having visions of the gas around Dapperwood. No matter how hard she tried, those thoughts wouldn’t go away. Abigai

Anti-Eclipse Petition

Since the original one was deleted... I've decided to make my own. Deviantart Eclipse is a massive step back for this website. It reduces functionality. It is ridden with bugs. It is slow to use. The sheer amount of complaints about this update have shown that the majority of users do not find this to be an improvement. The website in it's current form is infinitely superior to Eclipse. The notifications page is easy to navigate. You can drag and drop to fave. Profiles look ordered. On eclipse notifications are all the place, you have to scroll down endlessly to track conversations. (They don't just stack up the way they used to) Profiles

Forced eclipse is dumb. I don't care if it's an option I never have to use, don't force it down my throat in some misguided attempt to "modernize" the website. Anyone who has stuck with this site has done it because this site is one thing: convenience.  It's convenient that your notifications are divided into three main categories that let you know what you have to check at a glance. Maybe I don't care about groups today but I just posted a picture, so I want to know if anyone comments on it. But now that gets lumped together in one giant "notifications" tab that I have to go through. Some people, like those who do adopts, are subscribed to h

Say No to Eclipse

Say No to Eclipse

By May 20th the original old site of deviantart will be retired on that day. Than users have to used the new version of deviantart that is eclipse version. To be honest, I hate Eclipse and always have, the layout is unappealing to me and it seems to cluttered to me, and sore on the eyes, I hate that we're going to be forced to use it soon. To that I say NAY! I don't want this to happen! If DA decides to change the layout to Eclipse, that's going to piss a lot of people off, specially me, cause I prefer the old layout over ellipse. Change is hard to accept, I know change is needed and necessary for many things, but this doesn't seem like it i

Tale of DA: War againts Eclipse

Tale of DA: War againts Eclipse

Once there was village named DeviantArt or DA for short. It was populated by many artists and writers, some were good some odd. But still, all were driven by same thing, making art and sharing it. Even if it brought drama. One day Rathy, Monster Hunter who had been living in village 2 years was returning from her hunt. When she got back she started to heard rumors about new bad force called Eclipse that would bring changes to village. Everyone were terrified and their king wouldn´t listen them in his ignorance. As time passed many odd things started to happen in village, they were named Bugs and Glitches. Many started to plan moving to

I am Joining the Protest against Eclipse

Since we've been informed that the choice between the traditional DA interface and Eclipse will be taken away at the beginning of May and we are all forced to migrate I've decided to join the temporary boycott of DA at #TheSoundOfSilenceMovement I believe the optical layout of a website where you showcase your art is of greater significance than for other sites. The traditional layout always struck me as minimalist and elegant allowing the art to be the feature in the foreground. This approach was similar to framing a painting: the painting is primary, the frame and matting reinforce and elevate, but do not overwhelm the artwork. The new Ec

THE GREAT MOUSE DETECTIVE 2: A NEW BEGINNING A "Great Mouse Detective" Fanfiction By The Mouse Avenger Prologue: A Cry In The Night Wednesday, July 22, 1897 Madame Elizabella Ratburn woke up with a startled gasp, bolting upright in the cot that she had been sleeping in.  The elderly mouse-rat hybrid [1] cast quick glances to the left & right of her, breathing heavily at a rapid rate; her pulse & heartbeat accelerated with the adrenaline that surged through her veins, bringing her out of the state of sleepiness that had once occupied her senses.  Then, when Madame Ratburn finally took notice of her surroundings, her breathing became

OK, folks, sorry for the long absence off of DA! ^^; My computer crashed on January 6, & I had to take it to Best Buy to get everything transferred from the hard drive onto a brand-new laptop...which I’m now in the process of customizing & preparing for return to my creative work! :D So fear not, my friends—The Mouse Avenger (& her computer) will be back in business by February’s start! :D Now, how did my holiday season go, you’re wondering? Well, it went wonderfully well! :D As soon as I finish getting my computer & virtual work station set up, I’ll tell you all the delightful details! ^_^ R
