I have drawn in the margins for ages. Then I learned to put art front and center. Currently I work on longer projects that give me reason to improve pencil, inking, and coloring. If you could critique me, I will gladly share the favor back!

Wow, it is great to get back into art. It’s easy to be very critical— especially when you’re out of practice—but it’s a nice feeling to flip through and think, okay, this is where I am right now. And DeviantArt is great for watching out for other ins...
It took a few weeks to create a storyline, which I had already been mulling for a couple months. A friend gave me some frank feedback on it. Then I sketched each panel and page once... then did it all again, in more detail... and then I did my first full page of art. That didn't look right, so I redrew the first page again... twice... and now I've finally found a style and method that works. The line art feels bare, but a simple color palette will help the story come alive. I HOPE. It has been a challenge and I'm less than 10% done with line art.
