As a result of constant route repetition in the lakes and more popular spots in Scotland I've made a point to myself of visiting places I've not been before.
This weekend saw me off to the Howgills (you guessed it, never been there before!). Having driven past it so many times on the way up the M6 and thinking, "They look pretty good, I should probably give them a go," I finally got round to it this weekend.
I wasn't dissapointed. Although smaller than their lakedistrict counterparts, they still felt mountainous with steep sides and extensive interlinked ridgelines.
