My Bio

I’ve worked in healthcare for 21 years, and through life experience have become drawn to noticing what others overlook and making space for complexity without needing to simplify it. That way of seeing carries into my art, where I explore place, emotion, and the spaces where beauty and complexity coexist—often through quiet moments, meaningful connection, and creating images that make difficult things easier to hold.

I’ll be sharing more pieces that include text. Not as decoration. Not as overlays for aesthetic effect. But as part of the composition. In my process, the atmosphere comes first — structure, light, weight, balance. The words enter after that. They don’t explain the image. They don’t summarize it. They resonate with it. Some quotes are known. Some are author unknown. Some are fragments that have stayed with me. These pieces won’t be for sale. They’re not meant to function as products. They’re meant to be read slowly — or not at all — and simply experienced. The gallery will reflect that shift. As always, I’m building what feels honest to build.

[DEVIATION] New deviation up: Long Way Home. This one started as a contrast study — motion under permanence. A vintage red convertible paused beneath old stone arches that have clearly outlived everything that passes beneath them. Steel and lacquer against weathered stone and moss. I leaned into the color grading on this more than usual and ended up with a few tonal variants because the mood shifts depending on the light. Some feel nostalgic and warm. Some feel quieter and cinematic. Same road, different atmosphere. It’s less mythic than my usual work, but it still carries that held stillness I tend to build into everything. The moment before you turn the key. Before movement. Before the long way home begins. As always, I appreciate you being here and looking closely.

I’ve got a new deviation up! Immersion explores the separation between land and sea — that edge where solidity meets motion. Check it out and drop a comment — I’m curious what stands out to you. There are multiple versions of this one. Which interpretation feels most aligned to you?
