Dark Pearl VS 1.1

Dark Pearl VS for Windows 7

Version 1.1

Changes from 1.0:

- Fixed notification area backgrounds
- Fixed taskbar jumplist background

Tested on Windows 7 x86 only, but works on x64 as well (withous the content of "System files" folder). System files for x86 pre-SP1!

In order to use custom themes you have to patch your system files.
To do that, download and install Universal Theme Patcher from this link:

Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.

To install the visual style:

Place the content of the "Theme" folder in C:WindowsResourcesThemes

Double-click on Dark Pearl VS.theme to apply the style.

I've included several system files, which you can, but you don't need to change (x86 pre-SP1 only!):

explorer.exe - for the start button
explorerframe.dll - for the Back-Forward buttons in Windows Explorer

Special thanks to ~brsev for his Token icons, ~da-nadda for wonderful wallpaper and ~AP-GRAPHIK for inspiration.

The bar at the bottom is a program called Rainmeter, with skins: Enigma, Circles, Toxxweather

Hi! On my machine (DELL Precision M4600, Win7 pro) the theme looks like based on classic windows theme while it should look like dark version of Aero. In Themes Setting the icon indicates aero-styled theme but the theme itself looks old.

Here's a screenshot:

Why is this? What am I doing wrong?
Ok, I know already. I didn't restart computer after patching.

this is the BEST theme I have found and I had use WAYYYYYY to many Themes but keep coming back to this one

good job
Hello MorpheusNS, I love this skin. Thank you very much.
You could help me locate the taskbars that you use that appear.

Thanks again.
Love the theme, but some of Firefox icons and the menu bar cannot be seen due to the dark colours. Is there a work-around?
Note: I am running Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 X64. Firefox is "Quantum" ver 57.0.4. I currently use Firefox in native theme.

Hi love this theme.  I'd like to edit your visual style for personal use.  Do you think you could help me find the images for the scrollbar? There seem to be a lot of different graphics for the scrollbar, I don't know which elements are which.

At all of the download links for Universal Theme Patcher are dead. Does anybody know where I can find the software? I really want to use Morpheus' Dark Pearl theme.

The link is dead :/
I really love this theme but there are still some things not yet fixed. I could fix the Quick Info which had a black font on a dark gray (or black?) background but there are windows with black bars and black font on it. Also if you wanna change the the view (don't know how this option is called in English) of the symbol structure in a folder and you hover the cursor over an option (for example "details") the font blackens (I'm talking about the quick setting for this in the top right corner of the Windows Explorer). In the start menu when new programms have been added, the entry's background is yellow and the font is a bright gray which makes it very hard to read. I hope you can fix this. :)

I am sorry, but my Windows days are over, so I can't continue developing this theme. I've been using either Linux or Mac OS X for the past three years...
Hm alright. That's sad to hear. I'd also rather use Linux but I'm bound to Windows since some things are not working for me correctly with Linux.
