Crimsonpaws Warrior Assessment
Birds chirped over head and their wing beat in a hurried flutter as they flew through the air. Leaves cascading down gracefully as the morning sun shined through the gaps between the trees. The rays of light shimmered as they warmed up the early air, aiding in the evaporation of dew drops still present on flowers and grass. The forest seemed filled with life, filled with prey that would fill the bellies of the hungry clan that a certain tom would call home.
A paw softly stepping into the clearing, sharp eyes scanning it's surroundings for not only signs of food, but predators too. Crimsonpaw had to stay focused, with his mentor still gone on the mysterious patrol, he had lucked out when convincing Smokestar to let him take his assessment early. He wanted to prove that despite the absence of his mentor he was taking the effort to train himself by seeking out experienced warriors. Nervous beads of sweat trickled down Cohoshpaw's forehead as he waited for Stormwalker to appear from the farthest reaches of the den. Today was his herb assessment and the tom was more than worried he'd fail whatever task that was given to him. He took a sharp and deep breath, he had to focus and stop doubting himself. He continued to wait, but as soon as Stormwalker appeared the apprentice leapt to his paws.
The herbalist stood there for a moment before muttering, “So, are you ready for your assessment today Cohoshpaw?”. Stormwalker seemed to gaze at him expectantly, it was easy to read Cohoshpaw in this moment and so he didn't linger for a response. Instead he began to lead the way out of the den and through camp.
Cohoshpaw, would still reply as he followed along behind Stormwalker, “I-I think I am! I've been working really hard to memorize all the herbs and what they smell like. I'll do my best to make you proud Stormwalker!” He tried to puff his chest out to try and build
