Holier than Thou by Morgoth883 Holier than Thou by Morgoth883
The kids in the Anchor section of the Boys Brigade had to choose a Team name to the theme of 'Heros of the Bible' and so they Chose Mses, Samson, Job and Noah. I was then asked to draw a picture for each team!
My favorite one is Job XD I'm not really a religeous guy so ide never actually heard the story of Job until I came to draw tis picture. Its supposed to demonstrait Gods power of Satan, but the 'in a nutshell' version I was given just made God seem like an enormous arsehole XD

Very nice linework!

The Old Testament is like an ancient HP Lovecraft anthology...!

A hideous cosmic entity who is never done
dreaming up ways to punish and destroy a
helpless world of terrified human slaves!

Hmmm! Cthulhu, anyone?

At least Cthulhu has the excuse of being locked in a vault for 'vigentillions of years'. thats enough to make anyone plot the worlds destruction XD

Awesome. I laughed when I saw the title.

Here's another semi-nonreligious person who loves the stories. It's good to learn them because the Bible always comes up in other literature. The Job story has always kind of irked me too...I've had it explained to me a thousand different ways about how Job's suffering was a "test of his faith", but it all comes down the fact G-d and Satan made a bet! :XD:

Its almost like the premis to TV show or Rock song XD
And you right, the stories do come up in other literature alot so its always good to have heard the origonal XD

nice.. I loved the stories from the bible when I was a kid.. my mom read them to me (from a specially designed kid's bible of course). Even though I'm not -really- a believer, I love the stories..

None belivers are often too ready to throw them away as crap, but your right; they are good as just stories. I dont belive in them, but like you I read a whole tone of them from an enormous kids bible I had as a child XD
I wish I could find it actually. It said it was a kids bible on the front but the illustration was quite grown up (and rather awsome) and it had pictures of the great flood and people being eaten by locusts and stuff XD
