Heavy days for the lilac girl! I am keen to see exactly what it all means. If anything, you know? Would be a fascinating turnaround if the rarity of the lilacs had next to nothing to do with the remarkably legendary status everyone has reserved for them... They're just very rare mutations.

Hehehe. Would give the last panel robe wearer Something to cry into her goblet about...

I always enjoy a bit of exposition!

Nice page too! I like the fact that these special Darastrix are attractive to their universe's version of god-botherers...!

I got a question; if Lilacs are born with no Lilac parents, does this rule apply to all the other types too? Say, a red and a brown could give birth to a blue or something? Or are the Lilacs the only ones with that trait?

That is correct :) Parents of the same colour will almost always give birth to a child of thier colour - any recessive genes are overpowered. However, if the parents are different colours then it could go either way. Reccesive genes do sometimes produce children of a different colour from either parent - Lilacs are so rare that this is the only way they are ever born.
Part of the reason recessive genes are so weak in this fasion is because racial interbreeding was frowned upon for thousands of years until about the last century.
