DinoSaucers Symbol WP by MorganRLewis DinoSaucers Symbol WP by MorganRLewis
Odds are you don't remember this cartoon, even if you were alive around the time it was being produced. If you do, though, you might appreciate this wallpaper based on the symbol of the one-season syndicated cartoon DinoSaucers. It was a first-run syndicated show produced by DiC, and it ran in 1987. (Being a syndicated show meant for M-F airing, its one season had 65 episodes.) It was about two rival factions of alien anthropomorphic dinosaurs who came to Earth to continue their battle. It was a silly concept, kind of hokey, but like a lot of things in the 1980s, it was still a lot of fun.

DinoSaucers and all associated symbols are the creations of DiC Entertainment and property of Cookie Jar Entertainment.

This wallpaper was created entirely in Paint Shop Pro.

The zip file contains wallpapers in 1280x1024, 1366x768 and 1920x1200 resolutions.

Ohmygod, Dinosaucers!  I was totally into this show.  The coolness of dinosaurs, + sci-fi, + snarky humour/references/puns...
Bizzarre little fun mess of weirdness, this show.  :)

Sony needs to release a complete series DVD box set, even if Shout Factory has to release it! :D

Yeah, there hasn't even been any news on that front on TVShowsOnDVD.com. I guess it's just not on their radar at all.

How could I forget an emblem quite like that? That's been etched into my mind along with the Thundercats logo, and along wit the Autobot and Decepticon logos.

Excellent. I figured there were at least a few children of the 80s on dA who might remember it. :)

Oh believe me, I remember it alright. In fact, I used to watch that show years ago when it first aired on TV back in between the late 80s and early 90s. It was one of my favorite shows of all time, and it had some likable characters and memorable episodes. Based on what I remember, the series only lasted one season. But at least it ran for a total of 65 episodes before it was taken off the air. I'm not sure which episode is my ultimate favorite since there's so many of them. But I certainly remember how much I enjoyed the series as a child. And I even got to rewatch the series on YouTube. And let me tell you, it was a pleasure to relive my childhood. The show was probably not as popular as other 80s cartoons like Inspector Gadget, Thundercats, or Transformers, but it was still a great show nevertheless.

I've even made a few Dinosaucers fanart pics in case you're interested.

I'll definitely check those out. I have to admit my own memory of the actual episodes is a bit fuzzy since I haven't re-watched them in years. Might have to do the YouTube thing, since they don't seem to be out on DVD (along with all too many great 80s cartoons.)

Yeah, sadly, Dinosaucers is one of those shows that doesn't get the treatment it deserves in spite of its cult-following. I remember most of the episodes quite well. But I had to rewatch the series in order to fully refresh those memories from so long ago. I would strongly advise you to rewatch the series on YouTube. Because until they decide to give the series an official domestic release, I'm afraid YouTube is the only place the show can be seen nowadays. Oh, and here's links to some of my works.
