A/n: Yeah so this is the first break where at the end of it I actually don't want to go back to school because I haven't had too much time for an actual break. Debate season starts literally next Saturday and by no means am I prepared. 4 speeches, an essay due Friday that we don't even know what it truly is about yet, probably some bullshit quizzes on who remembers what the first week back, the fuckin ASFAB during school. Megaoof. Anyway, good luck to those of you getting back to school from a break. And I hope you guys enjoy the chapter as well. See you in a couple weeks.

I move back to Masky, Hoodie, and Jack once everyone is done sharing information and planning and the brothers are simply running through everything again. Masky and I meet eyes and I open my mouth to tell him that I am sorry to throw myself back in again, but before I can do anything he makes a resigned and worried, but supportive expression as he shakes his head, which shuts me up.

I had a party at my house last night and senior pictures all through today so I misjudged my editing time and rewrote a whole bunch of crap. Sorry for being late all the time guys, but hey new POV this time so I hope you enjoy getting a little insight as to what might happen next.

It was a long ass fight to get back to myself, but at least now I can take the final steps towards tearing David apart. And along with him the Creepypastas. And... Jack, Masky, Toby, Hoodie- all of them- and especially... (Y/n).

A/n: Yeah I fell asleep last night when I got home from work and then when I got home from school today I passed out and just woke up about three hours ago. So come on guys I don't care if you say it, be on my ass about that update please please please. I'm so out of it lately. I really won't be hurt or anything I swear, just after the first week be like
"ay remember you gotta pace yourself to write! Hope you're doin' okay" because that would be perfect.
ALSO I'm making a twitter account to update all of you on what's going on in my life and with the chapter. I'll post it soon to all of you in a new chapter type format. If you guys have questions, you can hmu on there or if you have fanart or anything I would be more than happy to receive it! Alright, I hope you enjoy guys. :)

A/n: Yes, the long awaited chapter is here. Yes, I'm busy, yes I know people are probably fed up with waiting, yes, I know that it's already shitty to wait 2 weeks just to find out you have to wait even more. But guys- truth is, I have trouble remembering allllllll of what happened in these chapters! I just broke the fuckin floodgates again with Mira last chapter and I'm trying to figure out along with you guys what the fuck is wrong with her! I have plans, but most of the time every week I write a chapter that is the fruit of 8 hours of focused writing and brainpower, and I sometimes don't have that time I want to go back and check to see if a certain person acted in the way that makes a new idea make sense. Half the shit I come up with surfaces in flashes of inspiration, and sometimes I would rather plan to make it make sense. This I've been planning for, but sometimes it's hard to keep all of the ideas from going down instead of filtering them

I find myself slumping into a chair at the end of the table with a light grin on my face. We all break off to talk to others that linger in the room with us, and as I watch the group I'm surprised to see BEN moving towards me with a frown. I automatically sit up to see what is wrong, but he only sits down next to me, the desperation I thought he had in his eyes duller than I had originally seen, but still noteworthy.
"Yeah, what is it, BEN?" I murmur a bit worriedly as I peer into his red irises.

A/n: Yes, I know, it has been three weeks and a day. As much as anyone can say that I need to take it easy if I'm stressed, I also know how much of an annoyance it can be to have to wait so long for chapters to come out and I really rip my heart out thinking about it. I'm not here to complain again, just know that I am trying but I am busy as I am writing this story. Few people continually show that they care to come back to this story, and I cannot express enough how much I appreciate you all just coming back to read despite the spread out updates. To tell you the truth, I'm lost to my own work sometimes. I need to constantly go back to remember certain things and if you've read everything to get to this point and read this, you know how time-consuming it can be. Because of my lack of time to do this, I get discouraged in my own world of writing I created. "How can a person who doesn't know the past as well as they should write the future," is a common thing I ask myself. I'm a perfec

A/n: I was trying my damnedest to get this chapter posted on time but I was up until 3:30 AM this morning writing on it when I finally said fuck it and fell asleep. I was hyped to get it posted but I ended up writing waaaaaay too much and still not enough because it's a heavy chapter. I even over-wrote on my last chapter and moved an entire bit over to this one to leave myself more space and homogenous plot in the last chapter. BUUUUUT I still didn't get done so FUCKIN YEAH.
Anyway, things are going a bit better from two weeks ago, but my AC is still out at my house so I have three fans on me as of right now. I also have been getting overheated at night because I fall asleep cold and then get too hot under my blanket while asleep. The other night I actually passed out for the first time in my life because of it. It was really weird actually, but I've been better since then. I hope all of you are doing well. A/n: Sorry again for the late chapter. Like I said, I'm lazy, busy, and I didn't plan very well so that all just adds up to one big shit show. But, you know, what is really new in my life? I also wanted to make this a nice long two POV chapter between Masky and the MC but it turns out that piddling around and then dropping bombs on this story isn't a good idea so I had to reread some thirty thousand words of hints and past conversations to get to this shit but it's all worth it (and then I moved Masky's POV to the next chapter XD). Also!! Let me know if the recaps are actually helping you guys. I think they help me to remember what just happened in the last chapter and continue without having to reread everything again (even though I end up doing it anyway regardless of the recap). Just leave me a comment if you want your opinion to be heard and I will very much appreciate it. :D

A/n: So yeah you guys know now that I had some shit going on last week I didn't really plan for. Usually when we go camping I have a lot of time to write because there isn't really anyone else besides my parents there to spend time with, but one of my longest time friends was there with his whole family that I hadn't seen in over 2 years. I'd actually had a crush on him for 4 years when I was younger (crazy I know) but I gave up on it for a while. But when I saw him again, he told me that the past two years really were excruciating because he had actually cared for me that whole time and for years before that too but we both just thought the other didn't want anything to do with getting together and beat ourselves up over it. But we finally figured it out last week and I was spending time with him as much as I could because he lives 5 hours away from me and only goes camping like once a year. A/n: Another couple of weeks have gone by again and I have still remained busy as hell. AP tests were yesterday and the day before that in the afternoon, and I only feel good about one. I had mixed up schedules apparently with regular finals and then AP exams, so the last two I have are going to be on Wednesday and Thursday of next week. From there it's just final projects and stuff that I will need to focus on and one Honors class final that I need to finish until school is out, and then finally I might be able to get back and reread a whole lot of this to edit again. Hopefully then I might be able to work hard on the story and juggle my job and camping along with it, otherwise, I'm going to have to keep the update schedule this way. But we'll see when we get there. Anyway, I hope you enjoy and I'll bring you another chapter in a couple of weeks. :)

Last week I took four tests, Monday I took a math test, Tuesday and Wednesday we had standardized testing throughout the school, Friday I have to pack for and go on a field trip to a play, Saturday I have a four-hour mock-exam, and on Tuesday of next week, I'm having my first AP final. And all throughout this time, I have had to work on yet another drawing, so that is due Friday, and I'm just- UGH- stressed out. BUT I have happily written this chapter for you guys, so you don't have to listen to my complaining anymore! Shit's going down again so it's a thicc chapter and I hope that you will like it. Hopefully I will get to see you in two weeks, but I have no idea how much time I will have until we get there. A/n: Still didn’t get much writing done on vacation as I wanted to. I planned to do as much as I could in the car driving back home, but I had severe nausea and a migraine practically the whole way and eventually ended up getting sick on the way back. So all in all it was a really fun drive haha. I was also really sick today and ended up going home early. Falling asleep apparently meant sleeping for five hours, though, so that’s why this is a little shorter of a chapter. But anyway, I hope those of you who were on vacation from school at the same time as me had a good time off as well, and I hope all the rest of you enjoy the chapter.

I've got a major art project to finish by the end of break and a couple more for Physics and Psych, and I'm going to be out of town next week so I can't bring them with me, and I've been sick with some shitty flu symptoms so I'm slow and can't hear very well, plus I can't go five minutes without hacking shit up. It's gross. Okay I'm done there. BUUUUUUUT getting to be able to bring you a chapter today is pretty much a feat in itself, and hopefully I will be able to finish my drawings and shit in time. Last time:

They look at each other for one second before I can hear Splendor describe what happened and Slender move towards me. Before he can say anything I shakily point to myself and then point towards the factory squeaking out, "Take... me back... or I'll... die," as I continue to crawl.

My mind starts to fail again so when I finally regain consciousness I see that Splendorman has teleported us just along the tree line surrounding the building. I gulp in deep breaths of air and I can feel my heart pump harder than I have ever felt it before. As I look out I can see Mira slamming the doors of the factory and looking around. I get back up on my feet from being in Splendorman's arms again and stumble only a couple of times before testing the extent of the abilities I have while I try to make my way forward.

From what I can feel, I have most of their abilities. They are weak but still powerful, and I take a second to murmur the thought to Splendorman, who I can tell relays the message to everyone else by how they start appearing behind us in their groups.

My eyes stay locked on Mira.

My heart rushes in my chest with adrenaline now even though I still feel weaker due to my distance from her and the fact that I stole almost all of her army's abilities.

My heart clenches up once again as I take another step and stop. It's not because of her manipulation this time, it is because I realize something.

I am trapped here and my sister is doomed unless I can defeat them with their own abilities or kidnap Mira.

And my heart stops because I realize that this will not be easy in the slightest.

I take another step forward- ready. Despite the odds.

I will save my sister no matter what, even if it does kill me.

3rd Person POV:

As (Y/n) takes another step forward she feels a light tug on her jacket. She stops for a second, her gaze lingering on Mira as if she is worried that if she takes her gaze away for a moment, her sister's only hope could disappear forever. She braves it as she turns to meet his gaze. There's a warning in his expression that tells her she needs to wait for backup and to rest for a minute due to her unstable condition. She takes a breath to calm herself for a second before turning back around. Her body screams at her to disregard him and keep going, but her brain agrees with him and keeps her feet planted in the cold, hard ground below her.

She continues to stare at Mira as she waits. The wind howls around her as if gathering to witness the battle that will take place. It carries the rusty smell of dried blood that lingers around the decrepit building from the last battle. Every few moments a violent gust forces the smell into everyone's nostrils as if death is holding an individual scythe to each of their throats, the shadowy blade flickering with every blast of wind trying to throw them sideways against its piercing claw.

One wrong move... and death is imminent.

She stumbles forward taking yet another step as she lightly pulls out of Splendorman's grip. She doesn't move too far, but just enough to let him know that she isn't going to go anywhere, she just wants to get another look before they run into the fray again.

Splendorman seems to take the hint and simply watches her after taking a few paces back to look from his position next to Slenderman. He is worried about her, she is unpredictable, but with the best of intentions, and he thinks that he of all people should know. The day Amy told him if anything happened that she would find him again he knew she would fulfill her promise, but now, after living without her so long, how can he not feel the urge to hoard her all to himself or selfishly work against her entire personality to protect her? He wants to stop her but in the same sense, he also knows he needs to let go of her again. He is sure of that. It just makes his heart hurt more painfully that he has felt in a while.

(Y/n), on the other hand, is looking for answers she isn't sure of. Why is she unable to take in abilities, leave, or barely use the abilities she has taken or been using? She takes a second to survey her inner self as she multitasks keeping an eye on her enemy lying in wait across the field stretched before them. She assesses her abilities by pushing their use lightly, making sure not to strain herself. The swirling mass of energy inside of her is achingly slow and she feels her pulse beat heavily and laboriously within it at an unnatural pace. (Y/n) notices that she can still protect herself with what abilities she has stolen, but only in very small portions. Her hold on the abilities is what Mira must have tried to prevent in her manipulation, and her using the stolen abilities doesn't hurt nearly as bad as her taking abilities, but it's still cripplingly painful. It seems that the source can be traced to her brain, she thinks, and she finds it morbidly intriguing that she used a biological manipulation to stop her, she just doesn't quite know how. She thinks it is a sort of kill switch, though. If event A- ability manipulation in the form of taking other people's energy- starts to happen, then the body will shut down to prevent it and shove away her consciousness.

As she fluctuates the amount of ability that leaves her to manipulate the environment around her, she realizes that there is also a workable gauge that she can go around; a tiny bit of leeway where she can take little by little more power with the only cost being a minute period of rest before trying again to prevent a full body shut-down.

But it will take too much time.

So unless her first options don't work- kidnapping Mira so they can return and she can heal Lilly with the abilities she stole or somehow forcing her to return (Y/n) to normal so she can get back without Mira- then she won't have to waste that much time. But despite the thought, she starts slowly reeling abilities in every other 30 seconds. At this pace, it would take 20 minutes, and she knows that with how small of a thread of life Lilly is holding onto, she will not have that time. She tries to think of ways to work around her predicament.

"Hey, Slenderman, is there any way you could teleport her to the house along with me?"

Slenderman takes a large step forward to stand right next to (Y/n), towering over her form. She simply looks up at the monstrosity before her as she would a trusted friend. His words catch in his sealed throat behind the papery, featureless face he created when looking at someone so similar yet different to her. He knows he doesn't want to hurt her, and he knows his words will, yet he can't simply leave her without them.

"...Not without endangering everyone else on the premises, and you know quite well how reluctant I am to do that- especially in this predicament we have found ourselves in." The amount of hope in her eyes dulls, but remains. He commends her for it as always. He looks away from her and out at the field, trying to remedy her lack of hope in the alternative. "The most efficient way we can do this is if we remain in our individual groups to fight. I will be able to detect if you are able to detain Mira through the mindlink without passing speech. I will be able to teleport her to the basement with you, however, you will have to find a way to render her powerless." He catches the gears working in her mind with the way she stares into space with lightly furrowed brows. She disregards her lack of hope in this particular route to remedy the situation. He takes a second to look at his form.

He regrets all of it.

If he hadn't... he wouldn't be unconsciously trying his damndest to find a ghost in a similar girl's mannerisms and holistic being.

He would have her.

He forces the thoughts away and moves back into his formation made up of his brothers. Covering up his guilt with a strategy of how to move forward.

(Y/n) knows from what he said to her that the only way she can win in this way is to knock her out and make sure to keep her that way.  With an excruciating amount of strain and some luck, she thinks she might be able to get close enough to use Mira’s abilities against herself to make sure she will not wake up. But that’s the thing, she will have to get close for that to happen quick enough for her not to pass out herself from her body trying to shut down again. She bites her lip in uncertainty.

"If you are ready, they have all exited the premises. It seems they are looking for us," Slenderman says. (Y/n) nods. From the way it looks, the Samarin within the rival group are in the mile perimeter that the Samarin senses usually can detect anything within from, however, their abilities are so dulled that they can't detect more than ten to twenty feet away from themselves from how they blindly search the trees. They are too far away for them to hurt her own party, but at that distance, they will be equally as formidable as before due to their remaining abilities.

Everyone in (Y/n)'s group keeps back for a second looking for an opening and judging the situation. It is only when their enemy starts to break off from Mira that they realize their chance, and a switch is flipped within every single one of them as the battle begins once more.

(Y/n) can feel Splendorman grasp onto her shoulder so she twists on her heels to meet his gaze. In her peripheral, she can see the rest of them all teleport away to face the massive group of both Samarin and humans that make up Mira's army before she can formulate a sentence. "I'm ready," she grimly states. And he wastes no time in throwing her back into the dangerous and foreign plane of existence out on the battlefield once more.

Where there is no love, only destruction, hatred, and deceit.

As they find themselves standing in front of Mira once more, she wastes no time in locking eyes with (Y/n) in a livid and piercing glare, taking a defensive stance immediately.

(Y/n) can't help the rage within her seeing the familiarity within Mira's features and her resolution to destroy whatever stands in the way of her goal. She finds it disgusting. "You thought you could get away with all of it, didn't you, you treacherous fucking bitch." She can't help but stitch her lip into a snarl, the roaring wind picking up mid-sentence to send her words like a tidal wave towards Mira who simply glowers at her. Both women hunch their shoulders like prowling lionesses, their unique eyes glinting in the low light like daggers. “You’re so dead-set on revenge that you would betray the people that welcomed you into their family, loved you as a trusted friend, and would have helped you despite any cost?”

Mira’s eyes flare with rage and slight guilt although she covers it up well. “I didn’t want a family- I wanted Amy. I loved her like my own sister. I would have died for her. I still will, if it means that her death will be avenged. Your little family doesn’t matter.” Her words cut deep; not into (Y/n), but into Mira. It’s as if her mind is working but her heart is powerless to stop it despite how much pain she is in. (Y/n) sees the weakness and digs her claws into it.

“Haven’t you seen what these brothers have been taught all because of Amy? She never would have wanted this- she never would have wanted you to become one of them. She couldn’t even bring herself to hate them after everything they did- after she knew she would be sacrificed to them- she loved them too much. So why are you killing the ones she loved until her last breath?”

“I’m not Amy, and I am not them, if you haven’t noticed. I don’t love these bastards, I never did. Amy was naive and charmed by them and it wasn’t her fault. I will protect her- at any cost.”

“Even if it means killing innocent children as well? You went so far as to allow them- those rapists and murderers to rape her, and to starve her, and to kill her just so you could, what, do a little social experiment? To keep her mouth shut? To use a child for your own gain? Would Amy be proud of what you have done to get her revenge or would she have felt the same about you as she did him?” She jabs her finger towards Slenderman. (Y/n)'s back bristles with rage as her hair whips around her shoulders. She can't stand who Mira is anymore, and she can't stand what she has done for the sake of what she thinks is a righteous path.

“I’m nothing like him! I don’t care what it takes-”

“You’re sacrificing everyone else for yourself, not for her," (Y/n) cuts her off and takes a step forward to make sure Mira knows she isn't afraid of her in the slightest. "You feel an obligation to her that she never even would have wanted you to have and it took ripping apart what took her sacrifice to allow: a place of refuge- a family . She wanted the brothers to be stopped, she wanted them to be the ones she loved all the way up until her last breath, and she made that happen. She allowed for every one of those ‘bastards’ to take in every one of the Creepypastas and to protect them- the very beings they were going to throw away like trash after they were done. And they have cared for them, taken every one of them in and given them lives that they never would have dreamed of having before, and they have saved them instead of killing them for no other reason than that is what Amy taught them they should do. But you, you tried to tear it apart at every chance you could get just to get to them without realizing the ones you were really killing, were the ones they were going to kill in the first place. Now how does that make you any different than the monsters she tried to stop in the first place?”

Mira doesn't know what to say or do. She simply stops for a moment. The conflict in her eyes makes her gaze quiver, her thoughts as scattered as the dark fallen leaves rushing around beneath her feet. She takes an unwitting step back as she meets (Y/n)'s bloodred gaze, hot like fire as she coils herself up ready to strike once more. Mira's fear, her confusion over who she should be more angry at- herself, the brothers, or (Y/n)- and her unbridled lust for revenge, for a win, makes her unstable. She knows it. Thoughts shifting from simply scattered to rocketing around her head like superheated molecules vibrating within the most infinitesimal parts of her being. She feels lost, cornered, hunted. Her helplessness makes her furious. She can't find any logical path of reasoning to get out of this besides survive by any means and win, no matter how. So she falls back on her plans.

She wasn't going to do it. She just wanted to seem like she had a plan to go up against the army of unbeatable foes they were about to face. It was a plausible plan, albeit crazy. It is a plausible plan, she thinks. She doesn't care anymore. Why should she care about these people that took everything away from her once, no matter what they did later on, they should be punished, and that's all she knows and cares about? What does (Y/n) know about the pain she felt the day Amy died? How could she?

Nothing makes sense to her.

So she resorts to the plan.

"Now!" she yells, unbridled rage booming through the clearing to reach the ears of her comrades. Her heart clenches up so it doesn't feel the pain she so desperately wants to be rid of due to the love they showed her after she had been lost for so long.

They wronged her.

That was reason enough for their pain.

Her lackeys know what it means, a psychotic grin worming its way onto every one of their faces now. Their leashes are off, they don't have to hold back against their enemy.

Before (Y/n) can even realize it, Mira is in front of her with her hand around her neck. Her eyes are so filled with her energy that (Y/n) can barely see her pupil; molten gold swirling in her iris. Beautiful. Lethal. She chokes out a breath as she realizes that whatever Mira did to manipulate her before, she is amplifying it to prevent her from taking anymore and working on top of it to allow her army's abilities to return. She can't even think to use Mira's abilities against her to knock her out now, she can barely protect herself.

But she fights.

Despite the pain.

But as she realizes this, several screams pierce her ears at once. With every sequential event that unfolds in the millisecond she feels herself explode with pain trying to fight Mira, she grows weaker. As one of the Samarin steps forward, Slenderman yells out as his right shoulder is reduced to a thin bridge of sinew and bone- his arm bouncing limply at his side as he curls in on himself lightly in excruciating pain, caused only by the flick of a finger. Sage looks back at him in absolute shock, which gives the Samarin and humans around them ample time to move in on her and start to rip her into submission with abilities and weapons alike. Both Offenderman, Splendorman, and Trenderman helplessly cover their ears as the sense manipulating Samarin steps past Sage to reach out his hand and amplify every nerve receptor in their bodies then turning every sense into overdrive so they suffer in anguished silence, knowing their screams will only injure them further.

(Y/n)'s heart stops beating for a second, then starts rapidly pumping with adrenaline and fear. Protect. It's the only objective in her mind.

That objective does not include herself.

Despite feeling herself being ripped apart by Mira's manipulations, she fights to pull her comrade's abilities back into her. With every ounce of her being- of her ability- she fights back so they can't hurt the ones she loves any more.

Mira grins crookedly at the anguished face before her, feeling her fight back beneath her fingertips as she detects the frantic energy within her enemy- once a friend. "It's useless. You won't be able to fight them like this. You will die trying before you can even help them. Just give up."

(Y/n) pries open her eyes to glower at Mira as she fights to breathe and fights to protect, her determination trumping her agony. Mira's sentence is pointless. (Y/n) knows her manipulation is working as she feels herself slowly dragging in their abilities and sees everyone start to gain the upper hand in fighting their own assailants, whose faces begin contorting in nervous rage.  She can feel herself slipping but she grits her teeth in a wry grin as she meets Mira’s fierce, yet slightly hesitant gaze. She can tell that she doesn’t want to kill her, she just wants her to give up. She is pleading with her. Almost if she is saying, “If you quit, I’ll call off the attack. If you give up, you can live.”

She scoffs with what little breath she has and musters up the strength to shove Mira off with both of her hands, her weight as heavy as the wind whipping her hair behind her head as she is removed from (Y/n)'s shaking form. Despite her instability, she uses all the rest of her strength to pull in every last bit of energy left in Mira and the men who made her little sister's life miserable, all the while letting out a piercing scream of white-hot agony.

"You fucker, you won't get away with this! I told you that I will do anything to stop you and that means killing you for good! Don't you understand? If you die this way, your consciousness will leave this body- your soul- will leave. You won't come back to this body ever again. And I'm not going to hesitate, no matter what! I don't care if you never... come back." Mira holds out her hand to use the last tiny shreds of her ability to amplify her manipulation, trying to scare (Y/n) into submission. Mira knows she could pull back, and if she does, all she would have to do is walk away and everything would be fine. Her sister would live to see another day, and (Y/n) would be able to live. But it means giving up what she fought for to avenge Amy's death for so long. And being that lost scares her more than the repercussions of doing anything to get revenge.

(Y/n) feels tears streaming down her cheeks as the wind freezes them against her skin. This information doesn't change anything. She isn't sure what is hot or cold anymore, just that there is a numbing pain where every atom in her body is being ripped apart with pain due to her fighting her brain. Everything is shutting down but she still has a tiny shred left. She knows that this time, deep in her heart, that Mira is right- that death seems more concrete to her. More certain. But she disregards it and smirks through the pain at Mira. "I know... you will kill me. But you aren't the only one who would die... to protect those you love for good..."

With that, she feels every ability lodge themselves inside of her being. Her grin falters and her eyes lose focus. Her brain fights her. You shouldn't have done that it seems to say to her, but she doesn't care. They are safe now. All of them will be. All that's left to save is Lilly.

She feels her knees buckle, then a coldness sweeps through her from her feet up as she tries to breathe but realizes nothing is working. She feels a heavy ache as her heart stops in her chest and her blood slows in her body, watching with distant eyes as everything starts blurring and fading to black while she is still conscious. Her memories start playing in her mind as her brain continues to desperately try to prevent its shutdown despite being the one responsible for her shut down in the first place, trying to change its mind. As her memories flash by, she feels everything that makes her (Y/n) start to fade, all of the laughter and happiness in her memories seems pointless as her sense of humor and emotion leave her, then she just can't think anymore. She can't understand what people are saying, what is happening anymore, and can't even tell that she is dying. She is lost, floating in a vessel of nothingness, and only then, once everything was gone, does it all snap away.

Only then is that nothingness replaced by the suffocating, monster-infested waters of her consciousness, now thrown far away from her being. Drifting aimlessly in the other world without a link back.

And her heart finally stops.

Sister heartbeats cease simultaneously, their souls being dragged beneath the surface together.

Across the field, everyone is simultaneously gripped by the bony, cold hands of dread. In an instant, they can tell their enemies are powerless, and the only way they could be was if (Y/n) had gotten Mira to reverse her manipulation or...

They quickly realize the truth. That this time, from Mira's expression, that this isn't a simple death (Y/n) will come back from a couple of hours later.

This is it.

She is gone.

"Amy!" Ryan yells as he rushes to (Y/n)'s side, his monstrous form slinking away from him to return to his shadow as he scoops her tiny frame up into his arms and rocks her back and forth, crying into her neck as he holds her. "Please Amy, please, no, please don't leave again. I can't do it again. I can't live without you here again, even if you are hidden from me in this new body. I can't bear it. Come back. Please. Please." His voice hiccups as his throat closes up from crying. He quivers. He can still feel all of the energy inside of her form belonging to five different people including herself. Something so beautiful, so similar, yet so intricately unique.

Mira stands shocked. Terrified. There is nothing she can do. Nothing she can think about in this moment besides the name echoing through her head- her first true and trusted friend that she lost: Amy.

Everything is still.

The wind stops. The leaves cease their skittering. It's as if the world comes to a silent and abrupt halt to match her mind.

Mira wants to continue pretending- pretending that she is right for killing people, torturing them, ripping them apart because they need punishment for a sin they committed in the past. But this time... this time she killed a person who had nothing to do with what the Silveira brothers did. She killed her, her sister, her family indirectly, all the people she knew and lived around on her street, she tore her friends and new family apart... and she betrayed her... which led to her death.

She is no different than the monsters she sought to punish.

This time... she killed Amy herself.

Mira realizes that this whole time she had her friend right in front of her, but she continued to chase after phantoms from her past. And now not only is her previous friend gone, but her new friend is gone as well, even though both of them make up one another.

All because she was so blinded by her rage that she couldn't see anything past it.

In the same moment, the Silveira brothers finally understand why Ryan never gave up. He knew something they didn't. The day Amy left, Ryan was the one who saved her life for a few hours more at most. And in the moment she saw him for the last time, from what they can make of his muttering, she promised him she would return no matter what.

It all makes sense.

A reincarnation.

Not her, but someone similar. A soul so familiar, yet different. Amy would never rest if she knew the mistakes she had made, and would do anything to fix it. The abilities, the personality, the tenacity, the familiarity- it all made sense. She was in there somewhere, a sleeping soul, there but yet not. Amy had been there all along.

And now she is gone again.

Mira falls to her knees. She had regained it all. She had good friends, she had a family she could be a part of, she could live in peace, only if she gave up on her revenge. And now... now she has nothing.

She lost it all.

She has nothing left, nowhere to turn, and now... no one to turn to.

Lost and alone once more, just like the last time when she lost Amy.

And now she is the only one to blame.

A/n: Yeah depressing and unique tho amirite? Don't worry I've got plansssss for you as the reader tho. This obviously isn't it because that would be stupid just to end it right there. Tell me what'cha think, guys! I'd love to hear what you have to say. :)

Masky x Reader: Hitchhiker Chapter 64

Megaoof. Anyway, good luck to those of you getting back to school from a break. And I hope you guys enjoy the chapter as well. See you in a couple weeks.

Last time:

I move back to Masky, Hoodie, and Jack once everyone is done sharing information and planning and the brothers are simply running through everything again. Masky and I meet eyes and I open my mouth to tell him that I am sorry to throw myself back in again, but before I can do anything he makes a resigned and worried, but supportive expression as he shakes his head, which shuts me up.

"I know what you have to do. You don't have to say anything. If you need anything from me I will always be by your side, but for now, do what you have to. You're wasting your time on someone who cares and has full faith in you. I know you will come back to me. I know that you are strong. I know you will succeed."

I'm taken aback by what he says- so much so I glance at Jack and Hoodie to make sure that they are acting like he is okay, but they just solemnly smile.

"We'll see you when you get back. But until then, we will be waiting by Lilly's side for you while you fight alongside Sage," Jack says.

"We are worried, but knowing who you are, we know we just have to count the seconds until you come back. So go on. Get out there. Sage is already on her way and will meet you guys at the front door."

I'm taken aback as they all share the same expression and push me to go. I softly and worriedly smile at them.

"Thank you guys- really. I'll see you when I get back..."

"We'll see you," they all murmur together just as I walk backwards a few steps, then when I turn I'm greeted with all the Silveira brothers standing up to follow me.

"Are you ready to take care of this traitorous bitch once and for all?" Offenderman grins, his razor teeth glinting behind his papery skin.

I lower my eyes and quirk my lips into a light grin, doing nothing to ignore the light flare of hatred in my chest for Mira despite my unyielding faith that she is still in there somewhere. "You have no idea," I growl as I walk by.

My heart beats hard in my chest with the adrenaline coming from the thought that this is the last fight kicking it into overdrive, and I have full confidence that we will come out of this victorious.

Your POV:

The group follows behind me as I push my way through the double doors then through the kitchen door once again to get to the living room. As we file into the room I can see BEN making his way down the stairs with an IPad tucked under his arm, which is connected to his phone by a power cable like a remote. I imagine by the look on his face that Slenderman has asked him to come down and help us, because every part of his body is tense and he looks like he isn't too sure about us going out after the Samarin army again.

When I swivel my head around just as I place my hands on the back of the couch and wait for everyone to situate themselves in the room my eyes catch Sage in my peripheral. She slinks into the room from the connecting hallway that leads into the basement and tries to stay along the wall and blend into the shadows as much as possible with how many people are in the room.

I quietly make my way over to her as Masky, Hoodie, and Jack finish talking to Slenderman just so he knows where they will be if anything happens. They follow me over, and just as I get to Sage they meet our eyes only to give us small nods to show their support for us before making their way back to the basement.

The both of us follow the group with our eyes most likely thinking the same thing; we both wish that all of them could come. But despite the situation seeming manageable the plan is left up to contingency, nothing is really predictable about this situation in the slightest. One second Mira could be remorseful and in the next a bloodthirsty bitch. Who knows what else she could come up with to get back at us. Sage seems to fully understand this by the way she clenches her jaw in slight worry, but she shakes her head and turns to look at me with renewed determination regardless, ready to get things rolling because she knows emotions will only inhibit the both of us. I silently thank her for taking the initiative before I can even think.

"Do ya already have a plan set in place?"

I nod. "Mira has shown herself to be unpredictable. The way to fight that is to be unpredictable ourselves but also be carefully observant and coordinated. The way we are going to do this is to attack in three groups: Splendorman and I will be together, you and Slenderman are a group, and Offenderman and Trenderman will be the last one. My group will be the emotions group where Splendorman can use his abilities to manipulate happiness, fear, and sadness to get to Mira if need be while I steal her ability or try to kidnap her. You and Slenderman will be the front line attack formation. Offenderman and Trenderman will be in the back manipulating desires and preferences in a way that will get them to be weaker for you two."

Sage just looks at me for a second- a bit surprised that we have it all figured out so quickly- then she simply nods. "Anythin' else I should know?"

I think on it for a second and then lock gazes with her again. "Well, the only thing certain in life is life's uncertainty-, especially in this situation. The only way you can win is to be as prepared for anything that may come our way and know how to deal with it ahead of time. As we are making our way there, calmly visualize counters and try to keep a level head. Things like doing a damage report, keeping emotions in check, focusing on the long-term, clearly visualizing the challenges ahead so you can fix them, and lastly, collaborating with all of us to settle this situation once and for all wi."

"You are correct. In order to succeed, we must keep all of these things in mind."

I jump in shock as I hear Slenderman come up from behind me. Sage does the same thing as I whip around to face him. His brothers are all still over gathered around the monitors on BEN's IPad, but he seems to want to reassure us both with how he is holding himself. When I notice, I also realize that my shoulders have been bunched up this whole time in anxiousness over not knowing the outcome of this situation. Last time that I was at the factory I was thrown in the cellar and lost my abilities. He must realize that we are both fairly unsure.

"I am impressed with your rationale. As for answering these rhetorical questions, my brothers and I need to address them along with you two. Would you mind coming over and speaking to us all?"

A twinge of nervousness shocks me like a lightning bolt. I'm sure Slenderman can see it by how he lightly places a hand on my shoulder.

"By all means, they are very impressed with you already. Presenting this, however, will solidify their beliefs that you are a very capable young woman and you are more than qualified for this mission and therefore an ally to be trusted and respected. As you know, they are not the most trusting individuals."

I slowly nod, nervousness even more evident in my expression. Sage simply stares at us looking between us two. Slenderman notices and turns his gaze down upon her, which in turn pulls mine over as well.

Sage visibly tenses. Every muscle in her body seems to want to pull her even further into the wall than she already is. Every bit of remorse and terror that she has for whatever she has done to the creepypastas- which is always there- is amplified tenfold when she is locked into his gaze. The hard expression she expects from him doesn't come. Instead, he softly yet determinedly gazes at her.

"I am putting my faith in (Y/n), who seems to trust that you will not harm us enough to work side-by-side with you. I do not want you to forget that I know the person inside of you unaffected by Samarin' extremities- you as you are right now- as well, and I am overlooking your discretions to have faith in you."

There is a warning in his tone but also a unique reassurance, and when Slenderman removes his gaze and ushers us both to follow him I can tell that Sage is dumbfounded by hearing this from him. She blindly follows us as we make our way over and I can't help but notice the growing confidence in her at those words.

I only remember that Slenderman wants me to speak to his brothers when he steps aside to allow me to be surrounded by everyone as they look up at him, who points to me and says, "Ms. (L/n) has something important we should hear, now please, continue (Y/n)".

My mouth goes dry for a few seconds as my heart stops, but I fall back on what I said before to Sage. "I-I simply was saying that in order to work as efficiently as possible, we have to all be on the same page and as level-headed as possible. To do that... we need to keep in mind several things. These are what we have lost and what we have to lose, making sure we are staying calm and channelling any anger into our abilities so we can put logic behind our power instead of blind rage, visualizing what we have to do to succeed so we can check them off as we go, and then also being sure we can all take a step back or forward so that we can stand together as one."

Everyone in the circle save for Slenderman seems slightly shocked by my initiative, but they quickly recover with a new sense of confidence which lifts my own. Splendorman speaks up from the group, a light smile on his face as if he knew I would handle what Slender just made me do all along, even though he hasn't known me that long. Before I can think on it more, he goes to answer my open-ended questions.

"Alright... so we are losing your sister and our advantage against this woman if we fail. If we lose we also risk blowing our cover and losing this woman's ability. The long term if we win would be we save your sister, protect the house, and get rid of the issue altogether. The short term if we lose is... I think we already know."

The rest of us nod. There's a second of silence before Trenderman speaks up, surprisingly. "All we have left to accomplish is visualizing our challenges ahead, but I think we can all sufficiently do that with Ryan's statement. Are we all clear on our plans?"

"Yes," Slenderman starts, "we are simply waiting for the opportunity to strike now."

BEN uses that opportunity to worm his way into the conversation from his part in the circle where he was hidden. "Yeah, guys, so not to trouble you, but I think now is the best time." A few of the brothers peek at the monitors as he says this, to which BEN points to the different camera feeds being shown. "So everyone seems to be busy right now from what I can see. The two Samarin are playing poker, one of the humans and the last pain manipulating Samarin are hauling Mira's old body into the cellar- long story don't even ask- and the last human is laying on the couch almost completely out of it after being healed so much. Mira is the only one I can't directly see, but she hasn't left this back room. No windows and no other doors are connected to it so she is in there, but be careful. Otherwise- you're good to go guys. Godspeed, good luck, and please be careful."

Everyone in the circle moves to prepare themselves. With one look at everyone to make sure we are braced, he goes ahead and teleports us all just outside of the hearing range of the most powerful Samarin there.

My hair whips around me for a second as we get caught in a particularly powerful gust of wind bending the branches of the trees around us and rattling their skeletal limbs. There's a creepiness about the environment around us today. It isn't dark, but it isn't sunny. The clouds have cloaked the sky above us with dull greys that lead into darker ones on the horizon. My skin ripples with goosebumps that slink over every inch of my body and I can't help but shiver for a moment.

"Are you ready to move closer?" Splendorman asks. I look up at him with slight bewilderment for a second, the radical shift of teleporting catching me off guard for a second. I take a breath and feel the energy perpetually coursing through my body once more before I nod.

I can feel my abilities gathering at my skin and mingling with the chilly air. It feels as if I'm being electrocuted by the time he nods at everyone to make sure they are in their groups and prepared. With everyone taking their stances he looks down at me one last time before I feel us snap away from reality for a second to be pulled into another one farther away.

This one is full of betrayal. Monsters that lurk around every corner of the bleak and crumbling walls around me. We are in the middle of the factory for better reach on all of the enemies. If anything happens, Splendor can easily teleport us out, however, I can't help but feel nervous as we stand in the dim, flickering lights.

We hold our breaths as Slender reminded us to do when we were at the house and I allow all of the potential energy stored in my body of bundled ability shoot out to the 6 people. I feel my abilities snag on every one of them and as soon as they do, I start rapidly pulling them in to me. The hallway explodes with noise from what sounds like two rooms over. They realize I am back just at they realize they can't escape.

I grin.

I hear a familiar scream muffled by the double doors behind me.

Just as I feel that I have almost every ability, my heart stops.

At first I think it's from slight fear, but as I try to take a breath, I realize I can't breathe.

I feel something foreign but familiar working within me and instantly know Mira did something.

I try to push through it and get the last remaining shreds of ability out of the men and Mira but suddenly I feel my mind slipping away from me to the point where I can barely feel myself crash into the floor and hear her stomping towards us.

I come to the sinking realization that whatever she did, she somehow stopped me from manipulating everyone. I pinpoint it to my brain shutting down every time I try to manipulate their abilities further as I slowly recover. Deftly I can feel Splendorman picking me up as he teleports me back outside and away from Mira who reaches out in pure rage just as my head lolls to the side to look at her and we teleport to our meetup location again.

As we snap away and I can feel us traveling further and further from her, and just like how I tried to push it with my abilities, I feel myself fading with every nanosecond it takes for us to travel farther. I scream, but because Splendorman doesn't know what is causing me pain, we teleport far enough away from her that it has my entire body starting to shut down completely and I start to feel cold as death crawls closer to me.

"Can't finish. I need to... back... house," I can hear Splendorman say once I regain most of my interpreting ability as I heal. Without thinking I roll out of his arms and onto the hard, cold ground below me. Slender and Splendor stare at me in shock as I try to take in heavy breaths one after another. I shake my head and before I can think, every part of my being has me crawling in the direction Mira is in.

They look at each other for one second before I can hear Splendor describe what happened and Slender move towards me. Before he can say anything I shakily point to myself and then point towards the factory squeaking out, "Take... me back... or I'll... die," as I continue to crawl.

My mind starts to fail again so when I finally regain conciousness I see that Splendorman has teleported us just along the tree line surrounding the building.

I will save my sister no matter what, even if it does kill me .

A/n: Here's that Twitter account: twitter.com/morgancatlovey

I had a party at my house last night and senior pictures all through today so I misjudged my editing time and rewrote a whole bunch of crap. Sorry for being late all the time guys, but hey new POV this time so I hope you enjoy getting a little insight as to what might happen next.

Last time:

(Veneer)

It was a long ass fight to get back to myself, but at least now I can take the final steps towards tearing David apart. And along with him the Creepypastas. And... Jack, Masky, Toby, Hoodie- all of them- and especially... (Y/n).

For some reason my heart hurts.

The burning of the cigarette has gone out and my skin has already healed so I bury my nails into my leg and manipulate them to grow sharp and long enough to pierce deeply into the skin.

It doesn't matter. He has to pay for what he did to Amy. That's all I know. That's all I care about.

And I will stop at nothing to do it.

No matter what.

For Amy.

(Hope)

"...if you were ta both die, you would be in the safe house together and would be able to talk ta each other. You could try to convince 'er to come back, however from how hopeless you describe 'er ta be and what I know from before, it will be playin' with fate. Her guardian can show up to let her through and she can leave you behind just like that in that state, which is why it'd be preferable to have ya talk to her here and keep 'er alive so she is as far away from going to paradise or being reborn as possible."

I take in a large breath then let everything sink in. I know she is right. Confronting Mira and her small Samarin army is the best way to go about this, despite the dangers it entails.

"I agree..." I murmur, sure about my decision but nervous about everything that will come with it. All of the possibilities are endless and daunting.

I know this will take organization and planning, but with so little time, everything is up in the air. All I know for complete certain is that without facing her head on, we will only lose what little things we all have left.

The only things we have left.

Our family.

3rd person POV: (elsewhere)

It's dark.

There's an echo around her tiny body as if she is tied by strings to the ceiling of a cave, an endless drip drop bouncing over every surface to hit her ears at every angle by the time the sounds reach her. The noise changes from time to time. Sometimes she feels like the cave has little animals skittering around her, retinas glinting an alien green as they bury their gazes in her before scampering off. Other times, there's a groan of something heavy. Something man made. Something broken and rotting and unloved like her in this nothingness. Its shuddery breath fills the space around her so loud she feels almost like it could be surrounding her.

She has gotten so used to the noises, she isn't afraid anymore. The odd pressure surrounding her has stopped invading her lungs, and the noises seem to sympathize with her in this bleak world she doesn't remember first entering. As companions.

She tries to open her eyes again.

It's still black and blurry, but with every few beats of her heart, it seems to sprout shapes and even sometimes colors that glint at her in the dim light. This time, she sees a fireplace- gray and dull, with its fire suspended as if captured in an old photograph that is blurred at the edges. She looks past it and thinks she sees an open door, its shape blurry and warped, yet giving enough body to let her see that the door is opened and the creatures she hears sometimes slowly crawl through it. They slither by her and off into the dark once more.

She tries to turn and actually realizes that she can move, her gaze meeting what she thinks is a planked floor. She tentatively reaches out and strokes it, the ridges familiar, slick, and grainy against her small fingertips. She hooks her tiny fingernails into the planks and pulls her body down, then finally she can feel something against the underside of her body.

She floats. She can feel herself lightly bounce up as she embraces the floor below her for a second, then she settles against the surface. She doesn't mind. It's an improvement to what she felt like before.

She lays there for what feels like hours, content to keep her eyes closed until she hears what sounds like slow, steady steps on the floor beneath her. Basement, she thinks as she nuzzles her face into the slick ridges below her again. She isn’t quite sure why she thinks it, but she feels like the thought is reasonable- like she has thought it before.

A slim hand daintily strokes her head and combs her blonde locks back to lazily float behind her ear, shimmering in the dim light for a brief moment like the flick of an angel fish’s tail.

She is confused. In her hazy mind she can only dazedly wonder why she expected to feel a smaller hand- a more familiar hand. She turns her head from the floor and pries open her eyes to greet the mystery person.

She is blurry, but distinguishable enough for her to tell she is slender, with light, chocolate colored strands floating around her cool grey eyes. The woman quirks her lips up into a light grin when she cocks her head in confusion. She doesn’t remember her, from anywhere, and for some reason this scares her slightly. Isn’t she supposed to be greeted with familiarity in this place? But then again... where is this place?

”You will only have to suffer a little longer. I’m sorry this happened to you, Lilly. I’ll stay with you until everything is rebuilt.” Her voice is just as echoing and muffled as the other noises even though she is much closer.

For the first time since she can remember being in this place, she opens her mouth to speak. The pressure rushes in to smother her tongue, and she coughs for a second, but the words are already floating out between her lips. “Who are you...?”

The woman before her laughs and her image shudders like a mirage before settling. She smiles brightly, her bluish gray eyes crinkling at the corners despite her young face as she strokes Lilly’s hair once more.

”I’m... part of the reason why you are here. But I’m here to help your sister, and through that, you. I messed up once, but I’ve spent another lifetime trying to fix it here in this sunken abyss with your sister.”

“Does my sister know you well? I don’t... think I’ve met you before...”

She looks down at Lilly, her light smile now a solemn frown. “I know your sister very well- I grew up with her. We haven’t been able to talk since I am shackled to her safe room. But someday... when she is ready... I will serve as her guardian- as it should be.”

“But... I don’t remember you...”

The woman before her laughs lightly, like a mother softly chuckling at her child’s ridiculousness. “No... I assume you wouldn’t. I didn’t live with your sister outside of this space. I’m not from this... time.”

”Then what is your name...?”

She pauses for a brief moment, contemplating whether or not she should say anything. She then closes her eyes and softly murmurs, “My name.... is Amy Lazarus.”

The name hangs between them, rippling around the room unlike the other words she has spoken as if it physically changes the environment around Lilly. She isn't so sure it doesn't as some of the pressure starts to fade, and along with the bouncing off the name off the walls, the reverberation of rushing water starts to fill her ears.

"You are almost there, Lilly. I know you can hang on for me until this room clears and then wait a little longer. Once this house is rebuilt and the water is back outside, your true guardian will finally come. But I'll need you to stay strong... for (Y/n)... and for what is best. Even though I know you're in pain... please hold on..." Her expression is conflicted. Lilly doesn't know why she is so visibly upset. 'Pain?'  she wonders, 'I feel fine. And why does she want me to wait for (Y/n), wait...'

"Will I get to see Sis...?" Lilly blurts out. She wants to see her sister, but a part of her feels at peace thinking about her for some reason. As if all of her consciousness isn't quite there with her yet, and it knows something she doesn't.

Amy's face freezes. She averts her eyes and her hair lazily follows to wrap around her cheek. "Your sister... is trying. But I fear it might be too late. I... I can't promise you anything... but I know she will try everything to see you... save you... before..."

Amy can't continue. She knows that she is already saying too much. She fears if she says anymore that the process of Lilly dying will speed up... and she is doing everything she can to keep her from remembering what her choice will be when her guardian finally comes to take both halves of her away. Once the guardian gets there, she will only have one hour, and that's it. And if she leaves... her plan will fall through.

After all, how can someone save the world when they think they can't save anyone else?

"I'm glad..." Amy glances at the small form of Lilly laying beside her, lazily floating in the water.  Unnervingly at peace. She quirks her brow. "I'll get to see her one last time again..." the words lazily drift out of Lilly's lips, and for some reason, even though she doesn't know why she says those words, she feels like they are the perfect words to say after all that has happened- whatever has happened.

Amy's breath hitches. She can hear the water start rushing out of the loft and back into the sea surrounding the house. She knows that Lilly's safe room level is next. The fish around the two twitch and start to grow their monstrous forms again as they begin to leave the house and she knows she is running out of time.

All she can do now is hope that somehow...

(Y/n) will be able to succeed.

Your POV:

"What do I do...?" I woefully murmur. "We only have so many on our side to be able to fight them. What if you, Slender, and his brothers aren't enough against them? Despite their idiocy, Mira knows more about Samarin than both of us combined, and will be able to exploit our weaknesses as well as her own army's strengths."

"Well, we'll just have ta find her own weaknesses and exploit 'em."

Jack looks between the both of us then continues to look at the video. The place he paused it at to show Sage what Mira looks like in full is right after she explains to her underlings that they are not to start a war with us. I peek at what he is looking at just as her moves to speak.

"Mira seems like she is still there. If you look at the way her expression is twisted and how her shoulders are slumped forward after she speaks, you can clearly see that she is conflicted. She doesn't want to hurt us- so maybe that time she spent with all of us has her unsure on what would happen if we were to be in danger. You, (Y/n), should be on that list, and if you get a chance to try getting her to listen, you can break her down by making sure she knows how much she will destroy us if she destroys Slenderman."

Sage nods her head, I hum thoughtfully at the prospect. He is right. But as for other weaknesses, by the look on Jack's face, he can't think of anything else. Really, neither can I. She is so unpredictable now, I don't know what is what anymore.

"Besides that," Jack begins, "Slenderman and his brother's should be here soon if they are not here already. They should be coming to the dining hall to meet up with Masky and Hoodie, because they were going to make sure they weren't attacked by creating a good base to set everything back up in. We should meet them there. Sage, keep an eye on Lilly until we get back and have everything figured out. I can trust you to keep her safe until we get back and alert us if anything happens through Masky and Hoodie."

Sage nods and assumes the position next to Lilly once more- her hand folding Lilly's into her own with her thumb pressed to her wrist monitoring her heartbeat and her other hand making sure her plant contraption is working soundly. Jack and I share a look before we both make our way upstairs and through the hallways to get to the kitchen again.

When we push through the doors to the dining room, our hearts jump as we almost bump into Slenderman. He seems shocked for a second, then his expression turns serious as he notices the exasperated looks on our faces. He takes a couple of steps back to let us in, then lets his eye sockets follow us as we make our way into the room a little more.

Hoodie perks up. "Oh, you're back- we were wondering where you both wen-"

"We don't have much time," I rasp, the thought getting stuck in my throat of having to tell them just how much worse everything has just gotten. "Long story short, this war is bigger than we thought, more dangerous than we thought, and it isn't over yet."

"What do you mean?" Splendorman quirks his head slightly from where he sits at the dining table.

"Mira... she is 'James'. She has been the one planning to overthrow you Silveira brothers this whole time. She wants revenge for you killing her best friend, and she went as far as to erase her mind and allow Amy's abilities to keep her from rousing suspicion from all of you so she could gain your trust and ultimately take you down. She brought back every single person we killed and has her army of Samarin back up and running again, they are just waiting for another opportunity to strike and completely crush all of you."

The silence in the room is palpable and thick for about 10 seconds before the room explodes with questions and propositions and outrage. I latch onto Offenderman's offhanded annoyed comment, "Why can't we just stay in here and let the bitch simmer down a little? She can't hurt us in here or at our own houses- not now that we know about her especially."

I start speaking loud enough that everyone quiets down to hear what I say to Offender's comment. "If it were any other situation, you would be completely right- but we need her. Not only did we find out that Mira is 'James', we also found out that Lilly has been silenced by her hand, and she is the only one that can reverse that to bring her back before she dies again- where she will undoubtedly choose to move on."

"What's so wrong with letting your sister choose it herself? If she wants to come back she'll come back. If she doesn't it's her choice."

I stop. Everyone else in the room sucks in a breath and holds it. I close my eyes for a second and sigh before opening my eyes again to meet his gaze. "Lilly has seen the worst of being a Samarin; she has seen the absolute worst life has to even offer in just this short time. She hasn't been able to live, she hasn't been able to love, and she will pass over because she thinks there is nothing her for her. I will not let my sister go without speaking to her if I can help it. I love her too much to let her die without actually living. And I will let her go if she still chooses to go after I speak with her, but until then, I will try my damndest to save my sister, and to show her that there is more to life than what she has been exposed to. She deserves to live and be happy, and I will die before I give up on letting that happen."

The silence continues. So I continue.

"The best possible way to save her is with Mira's abilities, because she is the only one who can reverse this coma and bring back Lilly before she dies and is able to choose if she wants to continue or move on. If she is still alive, I can talk to her without her having the choices right there in front of her, and also give her another chance. If we are in the safe room, she can just as easily slip away. So I need your help- to end this Samarin war."

"So... let me get this straight," Offenderman starts again. "This Mira chick is immune to Amy's abilities somehow and has used it to come after us to get revenge, she wants us dead, she wants your sister dead so she doesn't spill the shit about her, and you want her because you need her abilities to save her, so you need us to get to her and get you the abilities or her?"

Slenderman cuts in when I make a slightly confused face. "More eloquently put, you need us to help you confront her?"

"Yes, I need Mira's abilities to save Lilly before it's too late."

"Then we will do it," Slenderman remarks with iron-clad conviction.

"Wait- I never signed up for all this-"

"Are you backing down from a fight again, Matthew? You know this girl just freed you from being the shithead you've always hated being your whole life, right? Might as well pay her back." Splendorman cuts in.

"I never said that I was backing out! Fuck. Fine. I'll be there to have your back. But after that, we're even, got it, kid?"

I nod. Every brother nods. Masky and Hoodie are in the back staring in shock over the whole situation. Jack has already met up with them to explain everything to them while I continue. I don't blame them.

Just when we thought we could relax, everything turns out to be at its worst.

"Is everyone in on this? This is a Samarin war, so we will be the ones confronting them along with Sage."

Everyone nods at that.

"So... how are we going to go about this operation, Amy...?" Splendorman unsurely asks. Slenderman jerks his head to glare at him, but he doesn't seem to understand why he is in the wrong. I brush it off.

"They have no idea that we will be there, so the plan right now is just to incapacitate all of Mira's little henchmen then I will steal her abilities and have one of you teleport me back here so I can save my sister. If we surprise them, they should be easier to take down. And they should have no idea we are coming after them, so it is very likely we will succeed."

Everyone thinks on the proposition for a minute before Slenderman steps in. "Let us think on it for a minute before we decide which plan of action is best. I understand wholeheartedly that time is of the essence, however these are not simply any weak Samarin that we can simply restrain."

"Sure go ahead." I offer.

They nod in appreciation. I listen in from the side and by the end of it we have everything hashed out in about 5 minutes with all of our bases accounted for in case something goes wrong.

"Are you ready to take care of this traiterous bitch once and for all?" Offenderman grins, his razor teeth glinting behind his papery skin.

I lower my eyes and quirk my lips into a light grin, doing nothing to ignore the light . "You have no idea," I growl as I walk by.

My heart beats hard in my chest with the adrenaline coming from the thought that this is the last fight kicking it into overdrive, and I have full confidence that we will come out of this victorious.

A/n: Yeah I fell asleep last night when I got home from work and then when I got home from school today I passed out and just woke up about three hours ago. Last time: (Hollow/Veneer)

"We're not trying to start a war with the Creepypastas. We want them to side with us without knowing we have the doll and then once they overthrow him, we will be able to upend both operations. We don't want a war unless things get out of hand. I only want to make Slenderman pay for what he has done. No one else needs to get hurt unless absolutely necessary." For the first time since Mira has been moving around the room, I see the conflict in her eyes and pain. She glances at the hatch below her feet, then bites her lip as hard as she can and looks away from it as if she can't bear to be near it any longer. She clears her throat before growling out more. "Get it out of my sight. I won't need it again, I only needed the body to show I was kidnapped if necessary. I have no other uses for it. But for the love of god, don't fuck it. Throw it in this cellar and leave it there so no one can find it until this is over. We don't want to jeopardize this plan any more than it already has been. Now fuck off. I have work to do."

Your POV:

There's a silence filling the room, stagnant, as if a bomb has gone off and the particles of dust and the smithereens of debris are suspended in the air around us. It's invisible, but it invades our lungs and suffocates us from the inside out, causing our hearts to struggle, pumping hard and irregularly in our chests as we flounder for the air we need.

The explanation as to why she would do this to us.

The screen lies ahead of us, now motionless as the video stays paused on the empty space. It's as if it is just teasing us, withholding the knowledge of what could be happening around every corner frozen on the screen. What could she be thinking around the corner? Is she plotting to infiltrate the house again? No... that wouldn't be right. Is she thinking that the house has been divided enough so it only takes one more massive hit for all of it to come crumbling down? I don't know.

It's obvious she has distanced herself from the thought of being "Mira" to us anymore- sweet, kind, intelligent, and most of all, caring. She seems to see that part of her as dead, or that she was only acting, but from the expression that haunts my memories from when she looked at the hatch below her feet and the way the men talked about destroying us... there's something still in her.

Small. Whispy. Ethereal.

Maybe her true self?

Maybe even without Amy's ability... she still can't allow herself to be the person she truly is.

It all sounds hauntingly familiar.

My heart plummets into my stomach with the realization that she had been the last person I expected to do this and I fell wholeheartedly into the mindset that she wouldn't- she couldn't- hurt me as much as she did. True, I had been wary of Mira after a few of her episodes, but I have expected that she would betray me as much as she has.

To be honest, I expected less even from Sage.

It's almost impossible in my mind- this enigma as to why Mira could so easily switch to being James and so hell-bent on destroying Slenderman that she would go through any means necessary to continue along with it. The only thing I can think of is her connection with Amy as "James" as she stated in her letter, which must have come from the name "Mirajane" from what I can expect. She must have felt similar to me right now- but multiplied about tenfold and then some. Her best friend was murdered- and it's the only thing I can think of that sparked this mindset, which is that betrayal, in her mind, deserves to be repaid in full and then enough to break someone down into nothingness.

But yet again, it seems so familiar.

In my next breath, my overworked mind snaps to Lilly again. She is slowly fading away. I felt hopeless before- not knowing what in the world was causing this sudden onslaught of issues with Lilly's health that even stumped Jack, and now, I only feel pain.

And rage.

At her and at myself. Because my heart is so confused and riddled with shock, that even though my mind is crashing with this betrayal, my heart still wants to believe that the good Mira is in there. Somewhere.

And I hate my heart for it.

I can't utter a single word as I stare at Jack, searching for anything in his expression that might mirror just how hopelessly lost and angry I am. He simply stares at the screen like it is perpetually playing in his mind's eye as if he thinks if he sees it enough times it might actually make sense- that the one who had a girlish crush on him just the week before is now not only the one who attempted to not only murder  his best friend's sister after torturing her, but was the lynchpin in the entire operation that killed my family and almost destroyed his. This is the girl he felt so guilty about not returning his feelings for, the one who he confided in when nobody else was truly there for him to lean on, the sweetest, kindest person he ever met, and she stole all of it away from him without batting an eye.

I can't say I blame him for looking so lost. Hell, I'm just as lost- just as confused.

Despite it all, I find myself abruptly shoving myself off of the bed to make my way toward the door. My mind is moving my body before it can inform me of why, but as I start to pick up the pace I know where I have to go. Maybe. Maybe now that I know what is killing my sister- who is killing my sister- I can do something about it.

As the thought consciously surfaces in my mind, I now find myself almost sprinting down the hallway fighting to get to my sister. And just as I start to descend the stairs, I'm surprised to see that Jack is passing me quicker than I thought he could move, double-timing it down the steps. I pick up the pace and keep on his tail as we both round the last corners until we find ourselves slapping the soles of our shoes against the concrete floor of the basement.

I find Sage dotingly sitting right beside Lilly again, her hand dwarfing Lilly's as she holds it within her palm and keeps a steady hand on the plant that is keeping her alive.

Jack is already checking her vitals before I can actually get a good look at Lilly's face again. I can see him desperately flitting his gray fingertips over her, trying to feel for the wispy threads of energy I know he won't be able to see, which is what pulls me forward to stand next to him. His jaw clenches as his brows jerkily furrow as if he is fighting his own hopelessness as he realizes that from how weak she is, it may already be too late.

I step forward and close my eyes, my own expression silently crying out to the world and asking for someone to please give me something, anything that will heal my sister. A sign, a tiny sign that it will be okay. But as I sift through the energy within the frail, broken form of the sister I've loved all my life and draw Mira's energy from her organs, I realize that there is nothing I can do.

Her ability has taken a fatal toll on my sister. From what I feel using Mira's energy to see and feel every working part of Lilly's body, I can see just how far gone she is.

But I can't take it.

I can't accept it.

So I try with Mira's energy to heal her. To wake her up. To restart the systems shutting down deep within the cavity of my little sister's pale, cold chest. But I already know it isn't enough. There is a drop of gold at my fingertips, and I need enough to bathe my sister's entire body in it. An entire pool of it it seems.

Before I can even notice that tears are filling my eyes, they are already streaking down my cheeks to splash onto my hands as I lean over Lilly. The first drop shocks me and pulls a strangled cry out of my mouth as I choke on my own emotions. I grit my teeth and clench my eyes shut as I slowly sink to the floor next to her in deep anguish once more just like the last time I was bent over her.

But this isn't like last time.

Last time there was hope.

I can hear Sage murmuring something to Jack as I cradle Lilly's hand to my face once more. "What happened? Did somethin' happen upstairs?" she urgently whispers, her entire body tense and prepared to fight.

"Well... we found what really has been k... wrong with Lilly. An ally we thought was completely on our side has been betraying us all along."

"...Who?"

Jack sucks in a large breath, then answers her question in a breathy tone. "...Mira Leori. Who sometimes, apparently, goes by 'James'. Hold on I'll show you." Jack takes a second to text BEN for the video, then looks back up at her.

Sage looks puzzled for a second, but slight recognition forms on her face. I can tell she doesn't exactly know who Mira was, but can recognize the name.

"Was she a Creepypasta?" she confusedly whispers.

"No. She was a Samarin that Slenderman turned away once. We decided to keep an eye on her due to her being a purely good Samarin, and built a house for her at the top of the hill to be there for her if she needed us." Jack takes a second to open his phone to get to the message BEN sent back before continuing. "She had long, straight blonde hair that reached all the way to her hips, striking blue or golden eyes whether she was using her abilities or not, and she was... always sweet to everyone. Now we have found out she was working with the men from the abandoned factory this whole time as their leader. Here, this is her." He holds up the video which is now paused and zoomed in on her features as they look somewhat in the direction the camera is facing.

With every word he says, Sage's expression grows darker with realization. Once her eyes lock onto the video, her reddish irises flicker over the image as if her consciousness might wink out at her realizations. She is shocked beyond words for a second, then suddenly she stands up from her chair and looks at the both of us with a horror-stricken expression that we both pause for a beat over.

"What does she look like now? You kept saying 'she was'- what is she like now?" There's a desperation in her tone that makes us do little but to oblige in answering her question. I go ahead and speak up.

"She has changed herself somehow to look older- shortened her hair and made it gray. She is short but she seems to commandeer the room, and her eyes are golden now whether she is using her abilities or not."

"...Fuck. You can't be serious. It's her? She's still here?" she mutters incredulously to her self, her brow set in almost disgusted disbelief.

"What do you mean, still here? Did you know about her already? I can't remember if you met." Jack asks.

Sage flicks her eyes to meet his gaze with a clenched jaw and fear in her expression. "Yes, she's the entire reason I left and the entire reason I met you. She's the one who took away my memories, then when she wished it, she gave 'em back and brought out the monster inside o' me again- the monster that came back an' attacked you."

Both Jack and I stay stock still in shocked silence. "What?" Jack finally says. "How-"

"Before we met, I found her house. Due ta my Samarin nature making me want to kill all of you, I found that would be the perfect spot ta observe all of you until I made my attack. So I went to kick her out, however, I quickly realized she was an equally powerful an' dangerous Samarin. She tried to force me away after telling me what her plan was in an attempt to get us to work together after I refused, but as you know, that turned into a massive battle between the two of us. Just as she shoved me down the top of the hill near her home, she shifted forms when I wasn't looking, and in my confusion I didn't know who truly pushed me and gave me the concussion, which was already takin' away my memories, and so I couldn't heal as Samarin are supposed to because I didn't know who truly hurt me. She made sure, on top of the concussion, that I would remember nothing, and it was only until months later that she decided I was too much of a liability after I had gained everyone's trust and knew her secret, so she snuck me out of the house that morning, and when we got there, she turned inta that older form again and returned my memories. I was so infuriated that I had actually grown to love you that I immediately came back and attacked you, then after that, I was cast out and couldn't be anywhere near this area so I just started to try and devise another plan to attack all of you again."

Jack looks like he wants to sink to the floor he looks so miserable. Sage looks at him with pity for a second before she glances down at Lilly, and then to me. Surprisingly her eyes lock onto mine.

"What did she do now? How 'as she betrayed you exactly?"

I search for the words for a second before moving my lips. "She put Lilly in this coma to keep her from talking. Lilly would have recognized her immediately as soon as she woke up and told us what happened at the factory. She would have been found out and caught even if she had run away before that happened, so she decided to basically murder her. She is the only one of us who can bring her back. And I know, with what has happened to Lilly, she will want to move on unless I can talk to her again. So in a sense, all hope is lost..." My eyes fall to the floor, then I close my eyes and try to hide the tears that continue to fall silently from my reddish eyes.

She doesn't say anything for about thirty seconds, but I can tell that she is thinking, and when she finally does speak up I move my eyes up to her again.

"No. There are two other options we have before that'll happen."

"What do you mean?"

Sage sighs, then continues. "We'll have to confront them all. Every Samarin in that factory. Then we'll have to somehow use your abilities against them to hopefully make sure they never fuck with us again, and then we can bring Mira back and force her to heal Lilly, or have you steal her abilities and use them yourself to heal 'er."

Jack jolts in shock. "What?! That's going to be a suicide mission!"

"It'll be necessary. It's our best option."

"Then I'm going-"

"No this'll be a Samarins' fight. I'll not lose you again. Not when I've just found my way back to you once more after all this time." They look into each other's eyes, one in seriousness and the other in helpless worry. Sage moves to speak again. "If we don't do something, our efforts to save this house and its people will be wasted, and the brothers will be left to wither away, just like Lilly will if nothing is done."

"What is our other option, first?" I interject.

Sage's eyes waver as her gaze meets mine. "She said to me once that she returned to your safe room when she died and that a piece of herself was there to be her guardian, yeah? Did ya meet her?"

"...Yes?"

"Then if you were ta both die, you would be in the safe house together and would be able to talk to each other. You could try to convince 'er to come back, however from how hopeless you describe her ta be and what I know from before, it will be playin' with fate. Her guardian can show up to let her through and she can leave you behind just like that in that state, which is why it'd be preferable to have you talk to her and keep 'er alive so she is as far away from going to paradise or being reborn as possible."

Our family.

I'm young, imaginative writer who wants to be free to write and draw as she pleases... although it gets me into trouble 'cuz I end up taking forever to freaking update most of the time.

I'm straight, however I support all types of love and gender identity, and I truly think that diversity is art. Please stay true to who you are inside, though!
