Mr. Gone
I still look for you every morning, you know. First thing I do is open a window, look around. Check and double check.
It hasn't worked yet, but I can't stop myself. It's habit, y'know? It's habit to need you around.I can't stand to watch the weather roll in anymore. It makes me sick. Like, physically ill.
Because if I've got weather, then you'll get weather. And I'll never know if you're safe.I've finally stopped crying. It's what you want, isn't it? You want me to be myself, and to move on.
But you want me to miss you, too. Never forget, everything reminds me.Everything reminds me of you.

Derek I Am Sorry (I Did Not Say Good-bye)They all gathered
Family
All your friends
Just to remember
And honor
The person you had beenDid you notice
One chair missing
I knew your mother
Was in pain
I did not think
I would ease it any
So I sent a card ahead
InsteadDerek I Am Sorry
I did not say good-bye
I never knew
The man you become
I only remember
The little boy
Who ran to his uncle's arms
As his mother looked onWas that a lifetime ago
Tell me why
It feels like only yesterdayNow as I look at old photos
Of my place in Toronto
In almost everyone
Hangs that picture
You drew especially for meDerek did I ever tell you
How much it meant to me

The Child Activists
It is time to fight
To stand up
For Civil Rights
The time is todayThe radio DJ
Told the children
You're goin' for a stay
Bring a toothbrush and your bravesThe march started on a Sunday
Tear gas and bloody pain
'Let us vote' they say
Terror trampled over the terrainFirefighters used dogs and hoses
To break up the sea of children
Like a corrupt Moses
Without conscience as a burdenFill up the jails
Challenge the old way
Go home and fix your ails
'Cause you're goin' back the next dayThe children of 1963
Skipped school for what they believed
Now it's our turn
The torch has been passed to you and meGet an education

SP: Sad Green Eyes.
Sad Green EyesHe watches with gentle eyes, his expression stoic. He watches the kids dance around in happiness, their fingers - if couples - entwining together happily. He watches them step in the snow and giggle as a snowball is possibly thrown at or from them. He doesn't smile like his should, he doesn't feel warm like he should. He feels empty and lost.He knows that people in poorer conditions have their real reasons to be sad but he realises that everybody has their rights of sadness. Like now, he has the right to be sad. Watching as Craig Tucker's fingers entwine with the dark haired boy. He watches with jealous sadness that he is not ...

A Message to 'the Man' from 'We, the people'
I know you're going to find this hard to believe,
but we're in this together,
we need each other,
if we're to have a hope of survival.See, it maybe true that I drive a used Saturn SL1 with the passenger mirror broken off,
while you lease a Lexus SUV with heated seats,
but we've both got places to go.I understand you, sort of.
You and your wife have two beautiful young children
that you want to keep safe from crime and pollution.
You want to give them the best future money can buy.
I know you don't hate us,
it's just that when you have to make a choice between us
and your children's college fund,
well,
you love your children.
I get that.

In His Memory
Tuesday, April 10, 2001
Two weeks ago today, in a rather abrupt but sympathetic manner, we found out that our son, Chris, age twenty-five, a YSU student and employee in the management office at YSU, a caring and loving and, perhaps, too compassionate of a man, was dead. After waiting for his return home for several days and calling and emailing friends who may have known his whereabouts and after filing a missing persons report with the local police department, our worse fears were realized. The shock was devastating and has taken a toll on our family and those who care about us. This note is to thank all those who responded to our time o...

Bramalea Hollis' Mini-Bio
Bramalea is a 13-year-old. He is cared for by his father, Brampton, and he is very shy, so he often hides behind his father’s back, shuddering. He also cannot talk, and he has to communicate in the same ways that St. John does. He cries a lot, often for very little things, which bothers Brampton, because he feels that he is suffering from depression. But the other Canadian Boys tell him that it’s just “normal teenager stuff,” so Brampton isn’t overly worried about his son. Even so, he is still slightly concerned about him. Bramalea frequently clings to Brampton, thinking of him as “the love of his life.”

Milk Carton Kids
Today another kid went missing. We went shopping and looked at the milk carton. It was December 1985 and during the summer of 1985 many children went missing. One of them was Etan Patz, and Johnny Gosch. There were many others during that time, many young and vulnerable kids. There were even many grownups that had gone missing without a trace. Etan’s body was never found; he was declared legally dead in 2001.His parents (Stan and Julie Patz) won a civil rights case against Ramos in 2004. They were awarded a symbolic sum of $2 million; they never got that sum of money. There was a missing person since 1852, (Marvin Clark) was found dead in Portland in 1926 at the age of 74. Alaska has the most cases of missing people. Timothy Pitzen was also missing. His mother left a suicide note saying he would never find him. He is still missing at the age of 15. The skeletal remains of Sherilyn, Bobby and Madyson were found in November of 2016, more than four years after they went missing. No cause
