Even though im finished doing the list of the best and the worst movies of 2024, especially im gonna take a break from recent movie review to do my own stuff like fanfic and review the past, and got a bit of shaky start of 2025 for… Reasons. I'm probably gonna p*ss off a lot of people with this, but hey what's new? Since I've presented the upcoming movies this year that I'm looking forward to, I felt compelled to go in the opposite direction this time and go over the 2025 movies I'm NOT looking forward to (P.S - This will not be a reoccurring thing, I'm only doing this one time because it would drive me insane if I didn't get this out): Superman (2025) Avatar: Fire and Ash Snow White (Live-action) Lilo & Stitch (Live-action) In The Lost Lands Captain America: Brave New World Thunderbolts The Fantastic Four: First Steps Five Nights At Freddy's 2

It's the last day of the year, so I figured I should mark the occasion. I don't normally do a list like this, but when I realized that there were over 10 movies from 2024 I had given a "A" grade to, I decided I might as well. So here's the list. And to answer the inevitable question, I didn't see Wicked, which is why it isn't here. Moving on. Honorable Mention 1: Monkey Man: While this one can definitely be accused of being John Wick-lite, 1) it's definitely one of the better examples of a John Wick-inspired action movie, and 2) it's still different enough to stand on its own, having more of an emphasis on brutal close-quarters fighting over gunplay. Truth be told, this one actually served as an inspiration to me, giving me ideas I would like to try and turn into a proper screenplay some day. So it gets points with me just for that. But overall, it's a slick, fun action movie. Hard to argue against that. Honorable Mention 2: The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare: Grade-A Nazi killing

We are halfway through the year, so I am going to rank the movies I and some friends have seen so far this year. Here we go. And for reference- a variety of the June movies have projected profits that are not official, and they are there based on what experts believe they will make. If there are any box office profit mistakes, I will add or subtract them from Part 2. JANUARY: Wolf Man ❌ Company: Universal Budget: $25M Box Office: $35M Projected Profit: -$20M Rotten Tomatoes Score: 49% This is a common Universal horror movie that goes for effective jump scares and refrains from good writing and telling a good story. Dog Man✅ CO: Universal BU: $40M BO: $130M PP: $50M RTS: 80% (Certified Fresh) It is dumb fun and effective comedy that does the series justice, and it is another win for DreamWorks- also credit to them for putting The Wild Robot in their new intro, for that is one of the best movies they will ever do. Den of Thieves 2: Pantera➖ CO: Lionsgate BU: $40M BO: $60M PP: -$40M RTS: 62% A step in the right direction for Lionsgate, but they need to get their budgets under control. It was another flop. Flight Risk❌ CO: Lionsgate BU: $25M BO: $45M PP: -$20M RTS: 29% A Worst Picture nomination incoming and a career low for Mel Gibson. Ass isn’t even the right word for this- Lionsgate needs to fire everyone on their marketing and writing team NOW. Companion✅ CO: Warner Bros BU: $10M BO: $35M PP: $10M RTS: 94% (CF) Already guaranteed to be one of the best horror movies of the year and an excellent start to the year for Warner Bros. Presence✅ CO: Neon BU: $2M BO: $10M PP: $5M RTS: 95% (CF) Read above, but this is a Neon masterpiece with Steven Soderbergh being a genius as always. FEBRUARY: Love Hurts❌ CO: Universal BU: $18M BO: $18M PP: -$25M RTS: 19% I love Ke Huy Quan and think he really tried in this movie, BUT EVERYTHING ELSE WAS A DISASTER. Watch it for Ke, not Marshawn Lynch. He should stick to analyzing the NFL. Heart Eyes➖ CO: Sony BU: $18M BO: $33M PP: -$15M RTS: 81% (CF) This is a surprisingly different and unique slasher that rather pays homage to past slasher films rather than slander them. Shame it flopped. Captain America: Brave New World➖ CO: Disney BU: $180M BO: $420M PP: $10M RTS: 47% It is the weakest Captain America film, but I refuse to say it is bad because THIS IS FUN. It is a great intro to Anthony Mackie and Harrison Ford in the MCU, and I am sort of hoping this thing gets recognition for Best Visual Effects at the Oscars later this year. The rumors were struck down and this did well in theaters, and Disney overcame so many false rumors with a decent project, but notably not a great project. Paddington in Peru➖ CO: Sony BU: $80M BO: $195M PP: $0 RTS: 94% (CF) It is not as good as Rotten Tomatoes says it is- this was mid and simply comedic, but it is an enjoyable movie for kids and somewhat to me. At this point, the movies this year sucked for the most part so far. The Monkey➖ CO: Neon BU: $11M BO: $70M PP: $45M RTS: 78% (CF) A good adaptation that is stupid fun- a commendable Stephen King adaptation he enjoyed. Last Breath➖ CO: Universal BO: $25M BU: $25M PP: -$35M RTS: 79% (CF) Not my cup of tea and Woody Harrelson was the only good thing about it. This month had nothing memorable. Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy ✅ CO: Universal BO: $130M BU: $50M PP: $30M RTS: 89% (CF) It still has the same charm as the original. MARCH: Mickey 17✅ CO: Warner Bros BO: $130M BU: $118M PP: -$100M RTS: 77% (CF) YES- A GOOD MOVIE. It might be a Best Picture contender and surely should be an Oscar nominee this year. This flopped hard, but it was still great. The Electric State ❌ CO: Netflix BU: $320M RTS: 14% What the hell was the point of this movie? The Day The Earth Blew Up✅ CO: Warner Bros BO: $15M BU: $15M PP: -$20M RTS: 88% (CF) Funny and a step in the right direction for WBA, but terrible marketing grounded this flop. Novocaine➖ CO: Paramount BO: $35M BU: $18M PP: -$10M RTS: 83% (CF) It is a fun and original action film that was fun, but nothing memorable. Snow White❌ CO: Disney BO: $205M BU: $270M PP: -$355M RTS: 40% A nightmare for Disney and only endurable for kids- this was disastrous and the worst flop of all time. Disney is not giving the full story on the budget, and financial forgiveness is being played here for a very dumb reason. The Alto Knights❌ CO: Warner Bros BO: $10M BU: $50M PP: -$80M RTS: 40% Barry Levinson has lost his touch- why on Earth did he make this and not Scorsese? Robert De Niro might also earn a Worst Actor nod at the Oscars because the idea of him playing two characters was so poorly done. He tried, but it was like he wasn’t directed at all. At this point, Superman might need to be a billion dollar movie for Warner Bros to have a chance at profiting this year. Ne Zha 2✅ CO: China Film BO: $2.1B BU: $80M PP: $1.9B RTS: 99% (CF) I have not watched this and heard it was really good and broke the box office overnight, so I will roll with that as CineVerse does not release a movie this year. It might be a Best Animated Feature frontrunner. Opus❌ CO: A24 BO: $2M BU: $10M PP: -$20M RTS: 40% A disgrace to A24 and all it stands for- only good movie they had so far was Parthenope, an international movie that might actually go Oscar hunting. Black Bag✅ CO: Universal BO: $50M BU: $40M PP: -$70M RTS: 96% (CF) Dave Koepp wrote three movies in one year, and his two collabs with Soderbergh were critical hits. This bombed so hard because I never saw a single trailer for this film- Hell, I still haven’t seen one! Universal’s marketing team has been focused way too much on Epic Universe. Maybe it does something at the Oscars- maybe. Death of A Unicorn➖ CO: A24 BO: $15M BU: $15M PP. -$20M RTS: 58% It has its moments, but misses a lot. The Woman In The Yard❌ CO: Universal BO: $25M BU: $12M PP: $0 RTS: 45% I waited four years for a JCS movie and was heavily disappointed. A Working Man❌ CO: Amazon MGM BO: $100M BU: $40M PP: $25M RTS: 58% It was pretty much a remake of The Beekeeper and felt unoriginal. 2025 has sucked with movies so far. Hell of A Summer❌ CO: Neon BO: $4M BU: $3M PP: -$3M RTS: 48% It’s a movie. APRIL: A Minecraft Movie✅ CO: Warner Bros BO: $955M BU: $150M PP: $655M RTS: 49% I don’t care who says what- after so many horrendous movies FOR THREE STRAIGHT MONTHS, this was by far the most entertaining alongside Mickey 17. Warner Bros is about to make so much deserved money for making movies fun again. This deserves to be a Golden Globe nominee for Best Box Office Achievement. Warfare✅ CO: A24 BO: $31M BU: $20M PP: -$20M RT Score: 91% (CF) If this does not get at least one Oscar nomination, I would be surprised. This film feels real. The Amateur➖ CO: Disney BO: $60M BU: $90M PP: -$40M RTS: 64% Exactly what everyone thought- just another spy movie. DISNEY HAS TO LOCK IN. Drop➖ CO: Universal BO: $30M BU: $11M PP: $5M RTS: 87% (CF) Not as bad as I thought it would be, and a pretty good movie. But, it was hard to keep up because it got boring. Sinners✅ CO: Warner Bros BO: $360M BU: $90M PP: $175M RTS: 96% Hands down one of the best movies of the year and absolutely an Oscar contender. The budget was a gamble, but it is the ultimate masterpiece from Ryan Coogler. The Accountant 2✅ CO: Amazon MGM / Warner Bros BO: $100M BU: $80M PP: -$130M RTS: 78% (CF) It’s not a bad movie at all and simply got swallowed up in the hype of Sinners and Minecraft- hence why the box office suffered. Thunderbolts * The New Avengers✅ CO: Disney BO: $380M BU: $180M PP: $30M RT Score: 89% (CF) I WAS SO WRONG ABOUT THIS. I was convinced this project that went through way too many rewrites and three directors would be bad, nonetheless since director Jake Scheier has never made a good movie in his life. Well, allow me to offer my apologies to him as this is one of the best MCU movies ever made AND deserves at least a Golden Globe nomination, and possibly an Oscar nod. This was awesome and the first genuinely good film Disney had all year. And by the way- and sorry for this review being so long- it DID NOT FLOP. It needed $350M to break even, and was expected to make $450M. Very few reports have said it flopped, and it is a shame they are the ones people trust most. It underperformed, but absolutely broke even. Final Destination: Bloodlines✅ CO: Warner Bros BO: $275M BU: $50M PP: $175M RTS: 92% (CF) Warner Bros is having the year of their lives- this is the WB we have been missing and another hit film. Hurry Up Tomorrow ❌ CO: Lionsgate BO: $8M BU: $15M PP: -$30M RT Score: 13% Probably one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Easily one of the worst films this century. Snow White honestly looks like The Godfather compared to this. Mission: Impossible- The Final Reckoning✅ CO: Paramount BO: $600M BU: $300M PP: -$200M RT Score: 80%(CF) TOM CRUISE AND CHRISTOPHER MCQUARRIE GIVE US ONE OF THE GREATEST ACTION MOVIES OF THIS DECADE. THIS WAS AWESOME! And, above all, congrats to Tom Cruise for winning his FIRST OSCAR following this movie! Lilo & Stitch✅ CO: Disney BO: $950M BU: $100M PP: $700M RT Score: 71% Arguably the most enjoyable Disney remake of all time. So fun and a completed vision by Dean Fleischer Camp and the comeback Disney needed this year. A few flaws, yes, but not enough to derail it. Karate Kid: Legends➖ CO: Sony BO: $115M BU: $45M PP: $5M RT Score: 58% It has excellent choreography- and I love Jackie Chan- but it was expectedly worse than the majority of the films in the franchise. June: The Phoenician Scheme✅ CO: Universal BO: $35M BU: $30M PP: -$35M RT Score: 79% (CF) Anderson does not miss, and this is one of his best films- surely this gets nominated for some type of major award this year. From The World of John Wick: Ballerina✅ CO: Lionsgate BO: $110M BU: $90M PP: -$80M RT Score: 77% (CF) This franchise always knows how to do a good movie, and at last, we have an outright good Lionsgate film for the first time since JOHN WICK 4 IN 2023!!! But alas, IT STILL BOMBED. Lionsgate are actually cooked. Elio✅ CO: Disney BO: $110M BU: $150M PP: -$140M RT Score: 85% (CF) Pixar just does not miss- despite a whole year delayed to fix the story, it was a great movie that will be an Oscar nominee. The Life of Chuck✅ CO: Neon BO: $8M BU: $6M PP: $0 RT Score: 82% (CF) This movie was absolutely beautiful, should be up for some Oscars and Golden Globes, and is arguably the best Stephen King adaptation since the Shawshank Redemption. Predator: Killer of Killers✅ CO: Disney Streaming Earning: $35M BU: $25M PP: -$10M RT Score: 96% (CF) It will be a small flop per sources- they needed to market this more, because this was a phenomenal story! Dan Trachenberg is the future of the franchise, and this was arguably the BEST FILM IN THE FRANCHISE! How To Train Your Dragon✅ CO: Universal BO: $500M BU: $150M PP: $125M RT Score: 78% (CF) A perfect remake and definitely gives me promise for the upcoming sequels. Dean DeBlois knows this franchise in and out. This film better get a major award nomination- it might be the best animated remake ever. Materialists✅ CO: A24 BO: $70M BU: $20M PP: $20M RT Score: 87% (CF) I was not a big fan of Past Lives, but Celine Song now has my apologies. This is a world class movie with great concepts. 28 Years Later✅ CO: Sony BO: $103M BU: $60M PP: $50M RT Score: 92% (CF) Aside from Sinners, it is the best horror movie of the year. F1✅ CO: Warner Bros / Apple BO: $167M BU: $250M PP: $0 RT Score: 83% (CF) Best. Picture. Contender. M3GAN 2.0❌ CO: Universal BO: $20M BU: $25M PP: $0 RT Score: 58% WOW- I mean wow. I was extremely disappointed and had extremely low expectations. What I thought was a box office steal didn’t do the fans any favors, and not only is it flopping, but it disappointed me when I had low expectations. The Unholy Trinity ➖ CO: Warner Bros BO: $1M BU: $3M PP: -$5M RT Score: 33% It’s a predictable western. By the way, I do not include Chinese film industries in these rankings because the country directly provides the studios with money, and any film profits get recycled back into the government. In my opinion, if the state is directly providing you with funds, then profit and loss would be pointless if they have truly unlimited money. Just to clarify, it has nothing to do with race or ethnicity. Series: MM Director: Chuck Jones Released: 8/23/52 I sort of wonder if Jones probably had a bit of wonkiness with the last Road Runner (Acceleratti incredibilis) and Coyote (Carnivorous vulgaris) short considering things like the weird distribution of gags and how it felt like it wanted to remake “Fast and Furry-ous” a few years later in “Beep, Beep”.    At least with that out of him, we get a great set of gags here, starting with the Road Runner running under the Coyote’s body so it rolls up like a window blind prior to all the schemes he comes up with.    We get classic bits like the quick-drying cement that the Road Runner just splashes onto Wile E. making it dry instantly on top of him, a bit involving a grenade where he waits for the Road Runner to pass only for the bird to run to another route knocking a boulder on
