Author's note: Yes, Tilly is my OC but she represents the show Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends and also the book series Railway Series. So that's way I chose her for this story. ------------------------------------------------
Tilly sighed as she walked through the street. Today was her birthday but it seemed like not one had remembered. But that was no surprise. Since a lot of them had taken Happy dust at some point. They wont of known when her birthday was.
Anyway why did they ask for her to come to Hatt Hall? It was unlikely that they had planned something for today. But she did know that what ever was happening it must be special t...

Day of The Diesels
It was summer time on the Island of Sodor, all the engines were working hard carrying goods and passengers all over the island and the mainland. The sun was shining bright and all the engines were having a swell time. One day, it was the hottest day on Sodor. The grass was drying up and there have been no sign of rain for weeks and even the water towers were evaporating from the heat which makes the water warm and the engines didn't like that all. Henry was passing by one of the farms on the mainline carrying a heavy goods train from the mainland. The gradient was a very heavy and Henry has to make more steam.Hot ashes came out of his funne...

It was a busy time at Ulfstead Castle. His Grace was having a celebrational gala to mark 7 years since King Godred’s Castle was reopened to the public. One day, Caitlin arrived at Ulfstead Castle Station to find Stephen waiting for her.
“Right on time, Caitlin,” said Stephen, “you remind me of me back in my heyday!”
“You’ve still got it in you, I’d say,” observed Caitlin, “anyway, must be off. Take care now!”
Later that day, Caitlin was at Barrow, having taken a small passenger train. It wasn’t anything exciting, just her standing in for Bear on his afternoon commuter train to Barrow-in-Furness to let him have a rest due to a hectic schedule.
“Well done, Caitlin,” said the Stationmaster, “you did a good job. The Earl called. He wants you at Ulfstead Castle straight away.
“Sure thing,” said Caitlin.
As Caitlin was being turned and serviced, her water tank was topped off before she was taken into the Shed. As Caitlin’s crew got down to start servicing her, Emily backed down

How Flying Scotsman and Duchess Met
Duchess the cat was feeling very happy. She was originally from the Disney film, The Aristocats, but ever since she moved to the Fox Railway in England to be with Flying Scotsman, she felt that her life had never felt better. Ever since she moved there, she was kind polite and very well mannered, even though she was still someone with such high class. She easily made friends with all the engines, but Flying Scotsman was her favourite and she trusted him so deeply. One evening, the engines had just returned home after a hard day's work. The animals were all there too to watch the sunset before bedtime. The problem was however, none of them f...

Rangers of the Rails rewrite
One late evening as Emily and Nia head back to Tidmouth Sheds, they notice a large storm is brewing and Nia tells Emily that she hoped it would be over by morning, since she would be taking the Sodor Rangers up to Callan Castle tommorow. Emily tells her that sounded really exciting.
That night, a large storm begins to pick up as the engines sit in their sheds. Nia was worried about the storm, but Thomas reassures her, telling her it was the perfect night to stay indoors and tell stories. Rebbeca eagerly asks Nia to tell them the story of her, Thomas and the collapsing bridge in the Brazillian rainforest and Percy asks to tell them about the different animals in Africa.
The next morning, the storm has passed as Rebecca, Nia and Emily leave the sheds. As Nia talks about having to pick up the Rangers camping supplies and the Rangers themselves after she had finished her work in the yards and Nia picks up the Rangers at Knapford Station, feeling extremely happy to be going on a

“Wow… your branch line looks beautiful, Duck,” said one passenger, looking at the coast from Haultraugh station. “Even more than it does on television!”
“Ah, thank you,” he smiled.
“I didn’t know you had a coach, though,” the passenger remarked.
Old Slow Coach giggled. “Well, technically, I’m shared between Duck and Oliver. We alternate trains throughout the day.”
“Ah, that explains it. Why haven’t my family seen you on the small screen?”
“Well, there’s a lot of us,” Old Slow Coach pointed out. “There’s bound to be certain engines and rolling stock that haven’t quite made it yet.”

It was summer on the Island of Sodor, and the Engines were feeling rushed off their wheels. The busy summer season was even more busier than ever. There were 4 times as many Passengers and Goods, and on top of that the Mainline was going over an extensive overhaul.
"The bad winter weather kept forcing our repair schedule back." The Fat Controller explained to all his Engines at Knapford. "So I have no choice but to carry out the repairs during the very busy summer season. But this means extra, extra, extra, work for all of you."
"This means more passengers and goods." Whispered Eagle to James.
"More and more work than ever before." James whispered back.
Indeed there was alot more work than ever before. Mavis was rushed off her wheels at Fharquar Quarry, Bill, Ben, Timothy, Derek, Marion, and Boco were rushed off their wheels at the China Clay Pits, and even Salty, and Porter, were rushed off their wheels at

This was the exchange I would often have with my older brother before heading out to see my husband, Victor. For a 45-year-old engine, Arthur still tends to worry about me, even if I am only one year younger than he is; he's just one of those brothers who won't tolerate any nonsense, not just from his siblings, but from anybody in general. But I can't fault him entirely for that; it was that no-nonsense attitude that made me feel safe around him.
