Demesne was in the cold grip of a nightmare. Left and right people were dropping dead, deep gashes at their throats, crimson blood pouring out. Their attacker was a foul looking creature with sickly pale skin that seemed to glow slightly in the almost light less room. It's horrible eyes were like black pits that would strike utter terror into any one that dared to stare into their soulless emptiness. Demesne knew that this creature was a vampire; but not one such as herself, one much worse. It was like a demon that had risen from the depths of hell, and had taken human form.
