MSF High Stories: Mei-Ling and Tera, Chapter 1
Mei-Ling sipped at her tea cautiously. Before her arrival at MSF High, she'd been quite used to a number of exotic blends, but nothing she'd tasted before had prepared her for the myriad of flavors the Orcs had devised since the inception of the Castaways Treaty Systems. In their desperate bid to create a unique culture, they must have tried brewing every leaf they'd come across, and Mei-Ling's last experience, an unspeakably bitter tea concocted from the anselberry plant, had her on her toes. This time, however, she was pleasantly surprised with her grunkroot tea, making the mental note that it seemed that Orcish teas with more harsh s...

Our story takes place during the 16th century, during the height of Soul Edge’s influence over the entire world through war, violence, and bloodshed. In the far reaches of Indian Ocean, trade and travel were still frequent. One such vessel was headed towards the Philippines with Y/...

We finally made it through the mountains into Bri’Saw. I never thought I’d see another place inhabited by Akeli, let alone a city! There’s a constant breeze coming from the ocean that half of the city rests on. Yes Dia, you heard me right, half of the city! The other half lies under the water, though without gills, or swimming lessons, I don’t think I’ll be able to see that part for myself.
Dia you won’t believe this, but the Akeli of Bri’Saw are monster hunters! They actually fight monsters that inhabit the sea that cause trouble, and those they manage to catch are bought by other Akeli for studying.
According to Odyssey, this is where the town’s troubles stem from. Some hunters believe they should get paid based on where the monster came from, land or sea. As a result, Akeli in both districts are fighting over the money. Those who aren’t involved in the argument aren’t better off. There’s not a moment of peace since they have to deal with the squabbles and

[C] STs, Imdir | Teo n Patli, 4
By the time Patli, Teo and Malik came down from the mountains, the sky had grown dark and stars speckled the inky sky above. It had been a long time since they had had a meal, and Teo and Malik offered to bring Patli to their home, offering a place of rest and a chance to eat and drink. The offer had been nice, and Patli agreed. Their weeping eyes and drool glowed viscerally in the darkness, the drips they left behind showing a clear route they had taken across the plains and tundra to the tribe settlement.
Seeing the walls that were double their height for the first time, Patli hesitated. They weren't comfortable with it, especially when they could hear a lot of voices behind those log walls and smell ash and smoke in the air. "Patli will stay here," they said, taking a few steps back from the settlement.
Teo and Malik were a little upset at their hesitation, but it was understandable given what little they knew of the blue Ancient. Malik went on ahead to warn the tribe about

Once upon a time in a far off land known as Aiers, there was an Ozcura warrior by the name of Nair Gnosmirc.
She was a seasoned warrior in the lesser Demon Lord Locke's army. She had been one since it was decided since her birth.
Niar was an accomplished warrior, the scars on her arms and parts of her torso were evident of that. She had seen many a battle and despite all odds against her, she would always come out from the jaws of death.
After many a battle won in the name of the demon lord, Nair found this growing emptiness in her heart.
Granted Nair wasn't sure what it was, introspective thought was a concept that was alien to Ozcuras and Gray Orcs they were simple creatures after all.
Nair wasn't sure what it was and she wouldn't know until one fateful day as her unit was raiding a human village for supplies she found it in the most unlikely place.
It was a farmer defending his wife from her unit, he was dangerously outnumbered and outmatched but he was still fighting with

It has been a few hours since Wen Xin Quan, the former shifu of the Earthen Heart Style of Kung Fu had passed away and outside the still ravaged school, the new Earthen Heart Masters, Lei Kugo, Yun Jou and Sammo Hakka recall the knight and queen who assisted them in taking down the Indomitable Fist and its evil leader Ou Di Wan Lee.
Lei: "What a day it has been for all of us."
Yun: "I agree Lei. I really wanted to say thank you to Oersted and Alethea as without them we wouldn't have been able to stand up to Ou Di Wan Lee."
Sammo: "We need to talk to everyone about what happened though, especially since some of the people we met were with the Yi Po Men."

After a good long night, the group woke up and got ready. They gathered round and had some dumplings that they prepared that morning for breakfast. Jian was feeling a little better after his injuries yesterday. During breakfast, Mazhanshi brought up a request. "So when we go to Beigang, I'd like to buy something else as well. My backpack only has room for my supplies. I've had to tie the Abyss Key to the side of the backpack. I can't carry more than one with my current backpack and the rest of my supplies, and if others see me carrying an Abyss Key, they'll either ask questions or try to stop me." she finished telling the group. "Sounds good." Daoshi said. "It'll be a day's journey, but we will make time to get that for you." he said to her. "Come on. Let's pack up the campsite. We've got a long hike ahead of us."
After finishing breakfast, The group went to clean up the campsite. Everyone packed up their tents and put then

It’s been a couple days since returning from the fiasco that was meant to be a leisurely stroll with Aldamar, Drak, and Droe while experiencing what it’s like to have a companion monster at his side. Nahji is in Sentano Village, one of the larger buildings where the urgent quest board is. Eyeing it wearily as thunder rumbles angrily outside. The tension in Bri’Saw was so thick you could have cut it with a knife. Lucky wasn’t so sure that tension was the only thing the residents would cut if given the chance. He was starting to doubt whether he should have brought Ethel along after all. The town felt on the edge of a civil war and that was on top of the many mercenaries and monsters around.
“Stay close to me,” Lucky instructed, using his handy tail to guide Ethel and protectively shield her from behind. He wondered if he would feel less nervous if he’d finished growing and didn’t feel so small compared to the strong adults around them.
“So how do we get them to stop fighting and be nice to one another?” Ethel asked.
“I’m not sure…” His mind raced, trying to find a solution for this problem. How exactly were they supposed to convince everyone to get along when they all wanted more of the profits.
“Let’s go talk to them,” the young naga slithered towards a magenta akeling with their back turned.

Knowing quite well that the Blood Briar was a dangerous place, Jinu wouldn’t even have considered bringing Luminara along. He left by himself, despite his rider’s protests to take at least Douma, Sylus, or maybe even Akaza with him. Nope, he stayed stubborn. He didn’t even wait for her final words and left her standing with her mouth hanging open. In his mind, he could already see her wanting to strangle him or even scale him alive.
Deep down, Jinu wasn’t so sure if Luminara would actually send one of her dragons after him. Maybe she will, but who? The only ones well-equipped to navigate the Briar were Douma and Sylus. He would eat a broomstick if she actually allowed the Lycanis Phantom to leave without supervision… That leaves the Savage Wrath up for debate. Still, Jinu knew that Sylus had barely left Luminara’s side recently, so probably not.
The flight to the Blood Briar was, fortunately, quite quick and easy, his large wings carrying him overseas without issue. Jinu scanned the

After following that spirit together, Zulla and Kila became quick friends. It was after Kila tripped over her feet and Zulla asked if she was alright, that the two realized they could speak to each other and understand what the other was saying. It was a great boon to the two of them that this was the case. Zulla was still growing, almost a young adult in Kodai standards so she was already taller than Kila, who was around the same age.
There was no spirit that guided the pair today. Today, Zulla had taken herself and Kila out of that forest. It took a hug of reassurance for Kila to feel even somewhat comfortable to leave the forest but here she was, trailing besides Zulla who led her up a mountain that was semi nearby the forest.
“Why are we going up the mountain?” Kila finally asked after a few hours of hiking. She was starting to get winded, her body not used to this amount of strain put on it.
Zulla paused to let Kila catch her breath, gently nosing the centaur affectionately.

The Black Spot tavern was mostly quiet that morning; the only sounds came from the ambient chatter of the tavern’s regular customers and the occasional tankard or glass being laid on a table. Sunlight streamed into the window, the beams lighting up dust motes suspended in the air like a cloud of fireflies. The barkeep at the front, a white rabbit with an eyepatch wearing a brown apron, was cleaning out several tankards with an old rag. The front door creaked open, admitting Kaitlyn, Subodai, and Bonnie Anne. Several customers at the tables glanced over at the new arrivals, making a brief ripple in the conversational chatter they co...

Everything just kept getting worse. Ever since Papaya, Dahlia, and the other Lelin’Kel residents got to Bri’Saw, it seemed everyone was fighting more! The whole situation certainly wasn’t what Dahlia had in mind when she convinced Papaya to come along with her. She knew Bri’Saw needed help, yes, but the kind of help they needed caught her off guard. At this point, the duo were just thankful the fights hadn’t turned physical— yet. A meeting had been planned, but it would be a few days before then.
Dahlia and Papaya sat on a bench outside the town hall in an attempt to get some fresh shoreside air. It was wooden, like the massive walkways and piers that covered the cliffside and the water below. The waterfall nearby gave off constant white noise, though the duo were too high up to clearly hear the crashing waters below. The gentle sea breeze rustled Papaya’s fur and gave the spot a tranquil, peaceful atmosphere.
Unfortunately for both of them, a few terrestrial kels had

He began to accept that the rumors about Morgan’s death might not be lies after all — for in the end, Morgan was only human. His power had come mainly from the guild. If he had stood alone, no one would have obeyed him, and against the whole of Britain, he could never have prevailed.
Even now, Riko still blamed himself for how Morgan had gained his power through him.
If Riko had not been given such a high rank back then, he could never have supported Morgan’s schemes. But Ferun had been right: if it hadn’t been him, it would simply have been someone else. Still, Riko often wondered how the FA might have developed if none of it had ever happened.

The normal, sunny day broke as Hale went about his day, looking for more treasure to add to his collection. Stopped in his tracks as a blue and orange stranger, frazzled and frantic, asked for the citizens of Lelin'kel to come to their town - a village on the shore. However, that was not the part that Hale paid attention to; Hale could recognize that accent anywhere! Odyssey, whoever this stranger was, had to be a pirate!
Hale could already imagine what the seaside town Odyssey spoke about looked like; pirates of all shapes and sizes, massive ships at the docks, swords and mugs of ale! It was almost enough to make him tear up. He might finally have a shot at being a real pirate!
Hale couldn't wait, immediately rushing for the hatchery to collect his crew and start their voyage to what was surely the group's first pirate adventure.
"Alright, listen up, loyal crew!" Hale said proudly as he found Arin and Rojo play-fighting with each other. "We have a new mission! We're sailing off
