Cosmic Ode
An ode to that which enables life to exist here on Earth
The lifeless rock thought to be of impact generated birth
The satellite that maintains our axis and controls the tide
The one that from the ground, we only ever saw the same side.
And further out, a world over three hundred times the Earth's mass
A guardian who intercepts any comet that shall pass
An orb of fluid with moons that seem like worlds in their own right
The largest of all the planets the ancients could see by night.
And Earth as we know it could not be without the light of Sol
The star that defines the center for the system as a whole
From the sun comes the heat and light that keeps the whole world alive
For plants and all similar beings to be able to thrive.

The north polar ice cap is an ice cap at the north pole of demora, beneath the icecap is an island that has been named isridap, estimated to be two times smaller than greenland on earth, this island is buried beneath the ice and snow, and the icecap is larger than the island, and it shrinks and grows in size throughout the year, and shrinks especially back when narda-ra is closest to demora, and largest when narda-ra is farthest from demora. There is no terrestrial fauna or flora here, however around and beneath it are marine organisms of different kinds, and semi aquatic reptomammals as well as xenoavians come to its shores during the warm seasons. There are no sophonts here.
