My Least Anticipated Movies of 2025
I'm probably gonna p*ss off a lot of people with this, but hey what's new? Since I've presented the upcoming movies this year that I'm looking forward to, I felt compelled to go in the opposite direction this time and go over the 2025 movies I'm NOT looking forward to (P.S - This will not be a reoccurring thing, I'm only doing this one time because it would drive me insane if I didn't get this out):

I don’t feel like doing too deep of a re-introduction here. Back in July I started a project giving my first impressions of every animated series of 2024. I wanted to do a better job of keeping up with current shows and that was a fun way to do it. Now I’m back with the 2nd half of the year. Some notable series came out and I’m curious to see what happens.

My Top 10 Movies of 2024
It's the last day of the year, so I figured I should mark the occasion. I don't normally do a list like this, but when I realized that there were over 10 movies from 2024 I had given a "A" grade to, I decided I might as well. So here's the list. And to answer the inevitable question, I didn't see Wicked, which is why it isn't here. Moving on.
Honorable Mention 1: Monkey Man: While this one can definitely be accused of being John Wick-lite, 1) it's definitely one of the better examples of a John Wick-inspired action movie, and 2) it's still different enough to stand on its own, having more of an emphasis on brutal close-quarters fighting over gunplay. Truth be told, this one actually served as an inspiration to me, giving me ideas I would like to try and turn into a proper screenplay some day. So it gets points with me just for that. But overall, it's a slick, fun action movie. Hard to argue against that.
Honorable Mention 2: The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare: Grade-A Nazi killing

https://www.deviantart.com/jmichaeld86/art/The-end-of-Coppel-9-and-Cyn-Murder-Drones-1089987529
one week at blueberries (work begans somewhere in 2025... possily in early 2025 with , )
murder drones: between dimensions chapter 4 (the long awaited chapter 4 is propably released in 2025... no promise tho)
murder drones: between dimenions visulasiation on youtube (release date: oh boy.... i will say only this that this one wont even propably manage to make first episode in this world... i apologise deeply)
thats all everyoone :> what are you most excited from those 3 things? im excited for number 1 :>
In the near future. A robot actor . Kills a human actor. In a scene. When he punches him. In a scripted moment. In a intentionaly corny parody TV dramedy . That computers try emilate in real world. As the robot 's AL hacks the world's computers.

My top 10 Worst and Best Movies of 2025
WORST:
10-UNTIL DAWN
This was a mindless gorefest that was too dull to entertain, and too muted to scare, in addition to having little to do with the video game.
9-HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON
This one tried to copy the animated movie, but it completely failed to capture the charm and warmth of that movie.
8-LILO AND STITCH
What I said above goes double for this movie. Most of the characters barely resemble their animated counterparts, and the central message of "ohana" is completely ruined by the ending.
7-POPEYE THE SLAYER MAN
I fail to see who this movie appeals to. Fans who have been waiting for years for a new Popeye movie don't want to see him as a slasher villain, and fans of slasher movies don't want that slasher to be Popeye.
6-JURASSIC WORLD: REBIRTH
The dinosaurs are not threatening or powerful enough, and the humans are boring, cliched archetypes.
5-RED SONJA
This movie is too ridiculous to be enjoyed as a straightforward fantasy movie, and not ridiculous enough to

Quick Thoughts of movies in 2025
Even though im finished doing the list of the best and the worst movies of 2024, especially im gonna take a break from recent movie review to do my own stuff like fanfic and review the past, and got a bit of shaky start of 2025 for… Reasons. But what about the upcoming movies on theater and streaming platforms?
Il do a random quick thoughts of some movies either il watch or not. But just heads up, they’re dependable if they’ll release permanent or changing the schedule.
So lets see…
Wolf Man (Released): I heard Leigh’s Invisible Man is great, but this one… Ehh not so much…
Star Trek: Section 31(released): This is something my dad would like to watching it. (looked at review) Oh, nevermind...
Screamboat: Is this really necessary to cashing in over public domain??
Dog Man: Im not a fan of Dav Pilkey stories, but im sure some people might enjoy this one.
Companion: To kill or not to kill with my favorite actor Jack Quaid? Ehh, nope.
Kinda Pregnant: F(bleep) Off, Amy

Ranking All 100 Movies I Reviewed In 2024
For the first time ever, I put reviewed every movie I could in 2024, and there were a lot of good AND bad ones.
So, from best to worst, allow me to provide you the worst to best movies of 2024.
100. Borderlands
It was close between the bottom three, but I’ll officially say that ‘Borderlands’ is, without a doubt, the most disappointing movie I’ve ever seen, and I went in watching it expecting to be disappointed! The whole cast has no chemistry and barely tries- they went in for a paycheck and left. Lionsgate endured the second biggest box office loss this year, losing $240 MILLION with this film. Just atrocious filmmaking.
99. Kraven The Hunter
“It’s Kraven-time” has to be the worst line I have ever heard in a movie ever, and this bomb single handedly made Sony have an unprofitable year at the box office.
98. Madame Web
Sony never fails to disappoint Spider-Man fans with their VillainVerse. This film, originally supposed to cost $80M, got a nine figure upgrade to $100M, and expectedly, it lost that same amount! It’s actually outstanding the writing was so bad and the acting only came from Sydney Sweeney, and the VFX was unconvincing. This franchise has been rumored to continue- why?!
97. Megamind: The Doom Syndicate
You ruined a classic, Peacock. Stick to streaming and series and not movie making! This wasn’t funny and had a bland cast, and it is right on par with ‘Madame Web.’ Shouldn’t have cut the budget in any way, and shame on Universal for letting them get their hands on this.
96. Harold and the Purple Crayon
From giving this movie a huge budget with no marketing to poorly casting everyone, this adaptation of the book is disastrous and a stain on Sony’s image.
95. The American Society of Magical N******
I hated this movie from start to finish- it took the idea of “bold films” and horribly translated it. It’s uncomfortable and an embarrassment in writing.
94. The Book of Clarence
Read above.
93. Tarot
This horror film showed so much promise only to prove it was your common stupid-write slasher that no one wanted. It’s dumb and not much fun- it’s merely a cash grab.
92. The Crow
This movie had me excited, but a disappointment that hit almost as hard as ‘Borderlands’ overlooked the cinematic world- it’s a remake that changes the story too much and keeps old lines in for stupid pleasure. It’s another Lionsgate flop.
91. Joker: Folie À Deux
A complete and utter disservice to DC and a big “fuck you” to the fans from Todd Phillips.
90. The Garfield Movie
Sony was smart this year in this sense of getting profit- they made films that they knew were going to be terrible yet knew we would pay to see it- I mean, they’re already on this list three times and two of these films made profit. This box office success was a cash grab with non-relatable comedy and tried way too hard to be funny for the plot to be taken serious.
89. The Strangers: Chapter 1
It’s a slasher movie…watch literally any slasher film EVER and tell me how this is original? Bland, boring, and there’s barely a twist you can’t see coming.
88. Rebel Moon: Part Two- The Scargiver
This is the boring result of a team up film with a big battle at the end that tried to cover up how SHIT it really was. The visual effects are phenomenal, and the VFX artists have my utmost respect on that matter, but after seeing this, I get why Zack Snyder was turned down by Lucasfilms to include this in Star Wars. It sucked almost entirely from start to finish- the ending was badass though.
87. Imaginary
Cool concept and is scary for the most part- it’s just got horrible writing where the plot isn’t capitalized on as many would think.
86. Spaceman
So promising, yet so bland.
85. Damsel
It’s a big budget action film…poor writing and bad acting distorted what should have been an entertaining plot.
84. Lisa Frankenstein
People said it was mid, and it just didn’t hook my attention. I didn’t like it, but others have said different.
83. Night Swim
Imagine a horror movie where something in your pool drain is a stalking monster- the plot was already stupid, yet people watched it. Bad movie from start to end, but the scares were good.
82. Fly Me To The Moon
Why Sony thought giving an uninteresting biopic with a no-name director $100M was a good idea is stupid, and I really hated this movie- reviews were mid, but I think it just sucked.
81. Horizon: An American Saga- Chapter 1
Warner Bros sold this franchise after one bomb, and that’s deserved- people online said this was Oscar worthy and the best western film this century, when it wasn’t! It’s an uninteresting western on a big budget that couldn’t break even nor snag positive attention- it’s bad and disappointing.
80. Despicable Me 4
The movie’s funny here and there, but again, it’s the most shameless cash grab so far this year- this film nearly grossed $1B as an extension of the franchise no one asked for, yet we got a story that basically doesn’t contribute to the franchise at all. It wasn’t good, and Universal was fine with it knowing it earned them $700M IN PROFIT.
79. I.S.S.
This is the most mid sci-fi film I have ever seen.
78. Argylle
Originally, I recommended it, but now, I’ll say the film is mid and dumb fun. A rewatch really opened my eyes to how empty the movie was and how unentertaining the plot can be, and despite cool action, it’s not my cup of tea.
77. Spellbound
Simply a movie that will be swallowed up in film history and forgotten.
76. The Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim
You would be impressed how underwhelming this is- so much hype and Oscar hopefuls to fall out of the race completely and be the unchallenged worst project ever made about Middle Earth.
75. Here
I had my fun with it, but I and every person who watched this can agree a great plot was undermined by a very uneventful script.
74. Blink Twice
Despite good reviews, this wasn’t intriguing much- basic plot that’s chasing awards. Straightforward as it can be.
73. Wolfs
It’s a movie that is the definition of mid.
72. The Killer’s Game
It’s a movie that tried to beat out ‘Speak No Evil’ and ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice,’ and overall, it was just mid! Good action and a good plot, but the story is poorly told.
71. Mean Girls
For a remake, it’s funny and has somewhat of a strong plot- honestly not my cup of tea, but I know audiences adored it, so I’m being fair.
70. The Bikeriders
This film went through hell before it finally released, and while it’s still a good movie to many (and most definitely in the sense of writing), would I be wrong to say I was disappointed? People said this would be better than ‘Dune: Part Two’… SPOILER- it wasn’t. This went from a Best Picture prediction to a probable Oscar-less entry.
69. Haikyu! The Dumpster Battle
Going from ‘The Boy and the Heron’ to this is a big downgrade, but the movie’s still decent.
68. Road House
It’s a fun redoing of the flop of the original, and it’s miles better- still mid, but so much better.
67. Cuckoo
Scary as hell, yet just barely an enjoyable movie- had fun in the finale.
66. Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire
This is as close to dumb fun one can get, and yeah- I had fun, and I loved it. It’s a love letter to ‘Ghostbusters’ fans, and as Hollywood drags this franchise out, it’s a step in the right direction. Consider this my first good movie on this list (via my opinion, of course).
65. Immaculate
This feels like ‘The Nun,’ but it’s so much better in writing.
64. Cabrini
It’s a direly underrated biopic, and it’s worth watching- it wasn’t as bad as I thought it’d be.
63. Young Woman and the Sea
Possibly a film that reinvigorated Daisy Ridley’s career, it’s a great low budget story that managed to profit in select theaters. Emotional and well written with beautiful cinematography.
62. Megalopolis
You must watch this movie knowing reality doesn’t exist in this world, and it is both wacky and wonderful as Francis Ford Coppola tells a really unique story. It’s worth a watch and guaranteed to be on the Oscar shortlist, but Lionsgate suffered once more financially while FFC got back all the money he paid for this entry.
61. Venom: The Last Dance
A respectable send off to the character in the Sonyverse that has a very underwhelming finale.
60. The Watchers
I had fun with this unique horror film- Ishana Night Shymalan’s directorial debut didn’t bag a profit, but still showed the world she’s stepping in the right direction. A sequel is reportedly in the works with Ishana back at the helm and M. Night producing again.
59. Rebel Moon: Part One- Director’s Cut
An upgrade 20x better than what Netflix forced it to be, I’ve accepted Snyder is miles better at director’s cuts. THIS is a good movie- not perfect, but good.
58. Kung Fu Panda 4
This is unanimously the worst movie in the whole franchise, but the jokes hit and the story sells- it promises to be fun, and the voice castings deliver. It’s an enjoyable movie, and while it’s a cash grab, it‘s still a great start to a new trilogy.
57. Trap
M. Night Shymalan’s story has a very vague twist, but it still provides an enjoyable thriller that doesn’t give a hint as to where it’s going next. It’s a hit film that bagged Warner Bros a profit- notably Shymalan’s sixth consecutive profitable movie- and I’d watch it knowing it’s a good film overall with questionable acting dragging it down.
56. Arthur The King
This was emotional and a phenomenal story. It’s heart wrenching yet wonderful.
55. Ordinary Angels
Read above- this actually profited for Lionsgate and was great.
54. Rebel Moon: Part Two- Director’s Cut
This is the best film out of the four- so much action and a more contextual story that builds off the first part of the director’s cut. This is Zach Snyder’s best film in years and is the TRUE story for ‘Rebel Moon.’ I’ll also note it makes the villain arguably amongst the most brutal in sci-fi history, but just barely over the “mid” line.
53. Ricky Stanicky
This might be a little biased, but by far one of the funniest movies of the year- I had so much fun, and the plot was everything in this Amazon slam dunk.
52. Red One
The box office was a disaster and the movie completely forewent critical praise, but let’s get real- the audience loved it.
51. Kinds of Kindness
It’s funny and unique and wasn’t for everyone…I had fun and understood what Yorgos Lanthimos was going for- possibly an Oscar nominee, and definitely on the shortlist.
50. Orion and the Dark
Due to recent additions to the Best Animated Feature category at the Oscars, this might not make it, but this definitely has a chance. It’s got a great message and I enjoyed it way more than I thought I would, and it’s a fun movie as a whole.
49. The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Welfare
I felt so bad Lionsgate forgot how to market this year- Guy Ritchie made a story that is pure fun and action-packed, and it flopped horribly! Still, this is a must-watch and a highlight of 2023, and the writing and action is phenomenal.
48. It Ends With Us
While so many people claimed it as “the best movie they’ve ever seen,” respectfully, I didn’t get that- it’s a good movie and obviously more meaningful to those who read the book, and I might be lowballing fans’ enjoyments here- sorry if I am.
47. The Beekeeper
Jason Statham had a disastrous 2023 as he was nominated for Worst Actor, and all three of his films got a Razzie nod- this was action and a great story all at its finest and won over almost every fan, including my whole family. A big win for MGM, and it rightfully was.
46. Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire
When it comes to dumb fun and pure action, this movie reigns supreme- this is going to get on the Oscar shortlist for Best Visual Effects, and it will deserve that for great Kaiju action. It’s fun and a great experience, and it’s one of the best movies in the MonsterVerse.
45. Longlegs
Neon made bank with this surprise horror success, and yes the story is good, entertaining, and scary. Good job from one of the worst profiting companies of last year.
44. Bob Marley: One Love
Imagine dissing a movie for “failing to honor Bob Marley-“ that’s what the critics said, and audience reviews confirm they are wrong. Kingsley Ben-Adair could be up for an Oscar [at the longest shot possible] in a month’s time, and the story is emotional and brilliant. I highly recommend this film.
43. Bad Boys: Ride or Die
The action is great and the story’s hilarious, and Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are still a class duo. This made room for the franchise to expand, and it proved to be the second or third best film in the franchise thus far. This restarted Will Smith’s career in the best way possible- screw you Jada.
42. Civil War
A24 had balls releasing this IN AN ELECTION YEAR, yet it paid off with a profiting gross and a 9-figure box office. The acting is superb and the story is phenomenal, and the fact it was an Oscar prediction midway through the year tells you how good it was.
41. Abigail
What a horror movie- the box office sucked, but Universal cooked with both scares and story. Make this into a house at the theme parks and remember this story is a step up from most of their films this year.
40. Monkey Man
A low budget action film by Universal had great camera work and choreography and was simply a fun watch. It had great writing and an epic story, and it’s possibly a Top 5 Universal film this year.
39. The First Omen
Disney just barely bagged a strong start at the box office with this success after some financial forgiveness, and despite many fearing rookie director Arkasha Stevenson wasn’t going to have a good prequel to the former Oscar winner, but she delivered! A Certified Fresh score and a guaranteed nominee at the Academy of Horror Awards later, this is one of the highlight horror films of the year.
38. Challengers
Sports movies are often hit or miss, but despite boasting a bad box office, this didn’t miss. It’s a great story that does everything right, and it’s amongst Warner Bros best films this year.
37. Terrifier 3
The bloodiest film you will ever see.
36. Queer
Slightly underwhelming, but Daniel Craig should be an Oscar contender for how exceptional his carrying performance was.
35. IF
It’s a real shame critics shamed the movie for the very thing they called them out for- forgetting how to be a kid. It just barely flopped and garnered a lot of public love, and I feel like it’ll get on the Oscar shortlist for Best Visual Effects. It’s funny and heartwarming, and it’s awesome altogether.
34: The Fall Guy
This movie flopped because it wasn’t hyped up enough- it flopped badly yet good action and a unique story. An Oscar shortlist nod for sure, but the actual awards is in question.
33. Speak No Evil
Universal has done well in the horror genre this year, and yes, it delivers. James McAvoy’s acting is world class and deserves an Oscar nod it won’t get, and the thrill and suspense is at Shymalan and Hitchcock levels. Great movie and a great, unique plot.
32. A Quiet Place: Day One
This movie is right on par with the brilliance of the rest of the trilogy, and it should be in the running for Best Sound at the Oscars this year. It’s got brilliant acting and great visual effects, and the horror and suspense is peak. Amongst Paramount’s best without question.
31. Smile 2
An elite horror movie that continues the franchise in gory and frightening fashion.
30. Saturday Night
Jason Reitman doesn’t miss when it comes to making good films, even when this is nothing short of a box office bomb.
29. Piece By Piece
Fair play to Universal and LEGO for making this good even though it bombed at the box office.
28. A Different Man
Sebastian Stan embraces a great story and helped this movie win a Golden Globe- the message is clear and the makeup is phenomenal. Should be an Oscar nominee.
27. Mufasa: The Lion King
As a Lion King fan, I am happy that Barry Jenkins did a good and better job than the first remake and gave us a fun movie that doesn’t destroy anything Disney built in the past. It also completed a year of great financial success for Disney with a nine figure profit.
26. Moana 2
Critics can say whatever they want about this, but it still doesn’t take away the fact that the movie was a Golden Globe nominee, a $1B success, the first blockbuster-profitable movie for WDAS since 2019, and overall, a complete rebirth for Disney Animation. Sit down, haters- Disney outplayed ALL OF YOU this year with a fun movie that continues the franchise wonderfully.
25. Heretic
Hugh Grant carried this thing HARD.
24. Sonic The Hedgehog 3
Such fun and the best movie in the franchise hands down.
23. Transformers: One
A great animated movie that made the critics adore it completely for the first time ever, and it gave the fans everything they wanted while telling a clear cut story the previous films never offered.
22. Better Man
Certainly a box office bomb, but an electric biopic from Michael Gracey any Brit can get behind.
21. Alien: Romulus
Arguably amongst the top three ‘Alien’ films of all time, this blockbuster earned a nine figure profit alongside making a sincere case for Best Visual Effects at the Oscars. This is the best horror film of the year if you ask me, and it’s not even close. Great acting, a world class finale, an enjoyable and thrilling plot, and a love letter to all the franchise films of the past made Fede Alvarez’s direction brilliant and noticeable. This is a great movie and another win for Disney.
20. Nosferatu
Robert Eggers managed to retell a century old story in brilliant fashion while delivering Universal a massive financial win to end the year. It is scary and probably the best horror movie of 2024.
19. September 5
A great story about Munich that was very close in accuracy to the actual events.
18. A Real Pain
Jesse Eisenberg and Kieran Culkin are a perfect duo in a great story that captures the emotions of a human wonderfully. Should be an Oscar nominee.
17. Flow
An incredible animated movie, but it should not win anything at the Oscars.
16. Emilia Perez
This will win more than Oscar and be remembered as the film that defines Jacques Audiard’s career. So energetic and wacky and a best from Netflix and Pathe.
15. Twisters
Expectations for this movie were really high, but you know how good it ended up being? PEOPLE SAID IT’S BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL. Yes, the iconic former Oscar nominee. The visual effects might just land this thing at the Oscars, and the direction and acting is next level, and despite facing ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ for their entire theatrical run, both Warner Bros and Universal still profited off this film. What a movie and one of this year’s best.
14. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice
Tim Burton is back in amazing fashion as he hands us a phenomenal sequel to his Oscar winning original from 1988- Michael Keaton doesn’t skip a beat in his return and the new additions to the cast fit in wonderfully. This should be up for an Oscar nod or two, but it sure bagged Warner Bros a profit as it spent two weeks as #1 at the box office.
13. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes
So many people were ready to diss Disney for continuing this franchise, but a badass trailer, and what would eventually become a potential Oscar nominee changed everything. This isn’t a bad movie in any way and groundbreaking in both storytelling and visuals, and the way Caesar is memorized and made a central part of the story shows how well director Wes Ball thought this out- a financial success and a phenomenal movie.
12. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga
Warner Bros seriously miscalculated how many people loved this franchise, and it sadly flopped- however, it could be a future Oscar nominee with the story being a phenomenal prequel to the Oscar winning ‘Mad Max: Fury Road.’ The acting is great, the story is exceptional, and the action is peak- George Miller knows this franchise like the back of his hand; he knows what people NEED to see!
11. Anora
It is a love story that does everything Past Lives didn’t, and I am happy it will probably be an Oscar nominee by Wednesday.
10. A Complete Unknown
James Mangold reminded everyone how great of a director he was with an Oscar worthy project and an exceptional acting masterclass from the cast.
9. Gladiator II
Such a fun movie and a surprisingly good sequel to a movie everyone thought would have been better left alone. It turned a profit and gave Paramount a sure Oscar nominee, and Ridley Scott is back at his directing best.
8. The Substance
It directly combats unrealistic beauty standards as a film that does something never done before in cinematic history, for every sound in the film is important. Demi Moore was incredible and this should be an Oscar nominee.
7. Dune: Part Two
This…this is my pick for Best Picture. This is one of the best sequels of all time, and it released last year! Almost every film-making category will feature this movie, and it’s bound to win several awards.
6. Deadpool & Wolverine
Arguably the funniest movie ever made- Disney sent a statement in the superhero genre as they made blood, gore, and insanely dark and humiliating comedy their top priority in the very project that proved Marvel is back. Everything is peak, and I swear, if this doesn’t get to the Oscars for Best Visual Effects, they are lost- an amazing multiverse story (arguably the best one Marvel’s got), and a memorable movie for anyone who watches it.
5. Inside Out 2
I think this is amongst the best animated films of all time, and many will agree with it soon- people NEEDED this movie after growing up and finally being able to understand how damn good Pixar is at storytelling and symbolism. Anxiety is so accurately detailed that this deserves a special award in itself. Disney cooked with a movie that earned $1.675 BILLION, and it’s the #1 animated film of all time in part. I would nominate this for Best Picture in a heartbeat.
4. Conclave
Ralph Fiennes gave one of his best performances ever from a book that was almost identical to the screenplay- the production features were also outstanding.
3. The Brutalist
Brady Corbet highlights World War 2 struggles in a Best Picture worthy film that has Adrien Brody as an Oscar favorite with world class cinematography and editing.
2. Wicked
Anyone who has ever seen the play knows this should probably be the Best Picture winner. Standout performances from the actors and great set work made for an iconic movie.
1. The Wild Robot
Chris Sanders should take a bow for delivering the best movie of his career in my opinion and doing a book justice that I have adored for so long. My childhood came to life on screen for an Oscar nominee that simply deserves to win.
