The Eye (Revamped) Chapter 3 Home
Bucca stood at the prow of the boat, merely an hour before his feet would touch solid ground again. The sea was calm, nothing to see but a small speck at the horizon. The speck slowly became larger, a merchant’s ship. The closer it came, the more focused Bucca was on it. Dwarves were on the ship, fifteen to his knowledge. A couple of children, two elderly couples, such a waste of a good merchant ship. The ship showed the peace signal, a purple flag with a pumpkin. The captain had a black beard, with strange red outgrow. Dwarves couldn’t even pretend they knew anything about fashion. Bucca had years of experience in Stodir, he analyzed; the...

The Last Bastion: Act 1 Chapter 1 Part 1
“Mom, I want to be a commander in the navy one day!” said a very determined and energetic young girl by the name of Grace C. Nimitz.
“Now, now sweetheart, we’ve discussed this. The navy is just useless. There’s nowhere to explore, and nowhere to travel. There are no enemies left.”, her mother reminded her.
“What about Earth? We needa find that, right? Isn’t humanity’s future on Earth?” Grace said in rhetort.
“Earth?,” Grace’s mother laughed gently, let out a faint sigh, and added, “You know there’s no such thing as Earth. It’s just a fairy tale.”
“No it isn’t!” Grace shouted, nearly leaping from her seat, “It’s out there! It’s real, and I’...

Asteria: The First Chronicle Chapter 5
We Make Our Choices -o- One week had passed since the revelation of the prophecy. While Alysia had yet to leave Fort Paxborne, she was seriously considering it. Strong Wind’s training had become less harsh since their talk on the wall, or maybe she was just getting used to it. Either way, it didn’t lend her a lot of time to really consider her options. As per usual, Zo’gra sat with her at lunch hour, chatting enough for the both of them as they ate. Ever since the reveal of the prophecy, however, their talks became even more one-sided. She barely ever offered a response to anything he had to say, answering most questions with a han...

Coming to Terms - Chapter one
Hey there, glad you could make it. It isn't often you humans trust a Vura. What do you call us? Sirens? Oh, never mind. Let us start with introductions. It would do for you to know who I am, as this will be a long tale and will require several meetings between us. I am Meloku deNysa, a member of the Serkan family. Ah, no need to introduce yourself. I already know who you are. Now, for my story. Myth and legend both tell us that a hero's story starts with an unusual birth. This should have told me from the start that my sister would be such. After all, I carried her. No, she is not my daughter. I am, to this day, what you would call a v...
Once upon a time, there was nothing.
And then, quite suddenly, there were a whole lot of somethings, things that would someday come to be known as light and matter and noise and energy. These things combined and intermingled to create more complex things- rocks, stars, planets, nebulae, comets, suns. And most remarkably, life.
And while all this was happening, it was being watched. The watchers weren’t known by much of anything- at least not for some time. They simply were, and they knew, and they watched. Occasionally some of them would cease watching, and start doing, and that’s when things got Interesting.
One such watcher had been observing the area of space containing a sun, a belt of asteroids, and eight planets (four rocky, four gaseous, and an assortment of moons), for some time.
Intriguingly, the third planet from the sun had developed rudimentary life. How delightfully uncommon! There was a great variety- small things with
Four thousand, nine hundred and thirty-seven.
That’s my third recount. I’d bet my life that the ceiling tiles have exactly four thousand nine hundred and thirty seven holes. I think they’re for ventilation or something, starting to think that high school is a waste of time. Seriously, I don’t need to learn who did what a thousand years ago. I don’t need to know how to graph a parabola or how many tectonic plates the surface of the earth has. A ruler is slammed onto my desk, scattering my thoughts.
“Mark,” the teacher says. “Stop daydreaming and do your work. I’m collecting it by the end of class.”
I slowly sit up as I stretch and crack my...

It was a rainy evening as a man in orange was walking from the horizon. The man was known as “TheBlumpkinReturns” or Blumpkin as he was shivering due to the fact that he didn’t bring an umbrella. Blumpkin was freezing and needed a place to stay for the night, but instead of going to some shitty hotel, he found his friend PC1073’s (PC) house. Blumpkin then knocked on the door as he yelled for the door to be open, and then PC opens the door to see his great friend Blumpkin! PC questioned on Blumpkin’s random appearance and then Blumpkin had to explain it all to him, then he asked if he can stay for the night. PC said “Sure” as he decided to...
I often feel like a radio caught between stations, or perhaps a ham radio operator living deep in the vast white waste of Antarctica.A solitary sentinel.I can hear what everyone else hears. Almost. But only the outer fringes. I'm buried in a howling storm. Hood and gloves on, even in my shelter. I hear the overlap of thousands of channels. Many in strange languages with skipped words. Loud and whisper thin. Fast and slow rhythmed, with ululating tones, pings and beeps. I sense the shape of them. Of the words. Of the world. I understand much of its mystery.I press the talk button and try to call out. To communicate.My antenna is broken. O...
With the taste of iron reminding her why she had to keep going, Hyriko stumbled and slipped across the frozen, rocky path. She kept her eyes straight down, barely even able to see the clouds of her rugged, exhausted breath in the aggressive storm. The biting wind clawed at where her ear had once been, tearing at the the stitches, wanting her to bleed for the mountain.
Soon this nearly indiscernible track would disappear and she'd be facing the mountains in their wildest form. It wasn't a territory she was used to. Her only exposure to the place beyond the walls were through her reference books, and the occasional verbal rantings from her v...
I fell in love through a thin sheet of glass
Scraping my skin on the shards as it shattered.
And I fell asleep reaching for your hands
Dreaming of unwritten notes and dial tones.
I thought it would taste like pink lemonade,
But the way I say your name is metallic.
I thought you would be a way to escape,
But my wires got crossed and I became lost.You're just chasing residual noise
And I'm losing my digital voice.
"Story"Can you tell me the story?
I know it doesn't have a beginning
and you never mentioned an end
but I can't really believe
that there
ever was a playful middle
when the other two ends of that
long and heavy rope
could have been pulled taut.I mean, really
the smell of foreign food
wafts through the window every night
how can you expect me to sleep
when there is that exotic tang
right in front of
my nose
just far enough where you pull me by a string
and I can step into a world where
everything is not the same.Second person stories are not the same
you've got to be there
to feel there
to live there
to know there
you've got to smell there

Chapter one:Hawke tried to look up, the Discharge the qunari had thrown back her whole team. She manage to find Aveline who slowly rose from the ground while Varric helped Merrill out of the bushes.” Disgusting! “Merrill protested when she stood glaring at the many dead bodies of what used to be qunari warriors. Blood cover their clothes and weapons.Hawke gave a soft groan as she tried to grasp her staff, spotting a moving shadow toward her. The qunari walked closer, each step made his hands glow brighter, preparing a magic attack. ”Damn…” Hawke reached for her staff, but her vision blurred, making it...
In the dead of night the culprit stole;
Into your dream to take you whole,
Lacing thoughts with such blight;
Stealing your heart for its own delight.Within your head it creeps and lurks;
Placed by terror and dark’s deep quirks,
Cold and sharp behind your eyes;
Pouring up in incriminating cries.The blank of white streams in tears;
Forcing out your primal fears,
Twisted into targeted hate;
It strips you of your chosen fate.Now you are but to paint the lines;
A story to tell of her crimes,
Prose written in desperate plea;
Unable to hide, unable to flee.Forever stuck in the cold tide;
A surge which you are forced to ride,
It was but a dream ne...

The Spider and the Demon- Epilogue
After an unknown time being cradled in the darkness, Phyllis saw a light. A blinding light that quickly overcame the darkness and startled her eyes. Phyllis slammed her eyes shut in an attempt to go back to the darkness that comforted her. Suddenly, she heard Sigismund whisper in her ear softly, "It's okay, you're safe now." She rapidly opened her eyes and bolted upwards only to find herself in the comfort of her bed back in the village. Feeling the side of her face and head for the gashes, she found that they were gone. Breathing wasn't painful; however, thinking was dizzying. Phyllis covered hear eyes to block out the senso...

The Zub, the name a creature of the deep was given by a rather affectionate being that had taken him into their realm of existence after the first being who was gifted the rights to his egg didn't register his beginning. Leaving it to another to safe keep and protect him until another rose to take the challenge of raising him. He was effectively orphaned...until Zarabi, the great dark one decided to let him stay in his realm for a time.No one is quite sure of what happened within his realm, how the gem was treated and what traits he may of gained from his ‘caretaker’, at least not so far into the beings youth. The heartbroken gem needing s...
Maybe this is a turning point. A point of a return, or maybe, no return. All I know is, something is burning inside this body of mine. It's not nicotine or alcohol, no. It's words. Words I've been holding in for years. They scream to me, they ache to get a sweet release. My heart is still a hurricane; but this time, it's not caused by an old man who is no longer Here. It is caused by a fever, an appetite I can't satisfy. Of a roaring thunder in my bones. Of a child traumatized. I'm somewhere and I'm nowhere. All at once. I know this, though. This is not the last time. This is a new beginning.

umbral coalescence chapter 3
The monster stood in the doorway. "Miguela, I am sorry, but I have to do this." The thing that claimed to be Carnera leapt at her teeth first. It got caught in the wall behind her.
"If you're really Carnera you'd stop! He'd never do this. He knows we could work it out. That guy is gonna turn himself in!" Miguela placed a hand on the creature's shoulder, its tail wrapped around her ankle. She pulled away and fell to the ground, but broke free all the same. She scrambled out the front door to think as the monster struggled to liberate its teeth from the wall.
"Miguela, now is not the time to run."
"Stuff it weird voice! Rat monster, nothing ...
