Ran into this post this morning:
is one of the biggest members of the DA community. He is very active, award winning photographer, and has decades of experience under his belt.
His works are beautiful and you can tell he takes his time making sure the colors, composition, emotion, setup, lighting are ALl in harmony.
Seeing the above linked post, where people are reporting his work as 'unacceptable' or 'pornographic' even though he has a history of similar works and all adhering to 'regulations' makes me scratch my head.
I learn a lot about colors and composition from Dan. His lighting is unbelievable.
But really, for all the elite works of art that Dan contributes, do the user(s) who complain about his art contribute just as much prolific high level art that inspires others? I have my serious doubts.
Is this a matter of someone just hating? I would put money on that.
I don't want to really get into how the deletion language leaves a lot of wiggle room to promote inconsistencies with regulations.
My main point is this:
What do you bring to the table?
Is your art a showcase for soulful messages? Does it inspire? What kind of messages are you conveying? Are you continually working on your skills? Do you trigger emotions from your work? Do you build up the community?
Do you have an award winning body of work like Dan does?
Or do you just complain?
