Another attempt to edit this photo. The original version is here. -> www.deviantart.com/moophlon/ar… I like the new one much better. Meow :3

Ushguli, Greater Caucasus, Svaneti, Georgia.

It was quite difficult for me to edit this picture, for I shared a charming moment with this boy and I wanted this photo to be as captivating as this place and situation were. Ushguli is a village in the mountains of Caucasus and is said to be the most elevated settlement in Europe. When I was walking around the place, I saw a group of men riding horses. This boy came close to me, so I lifted my camera to take a quick picture of him (I had no time to ask him for permission, obviously). He smiled at me cutely for a while, since, I think, a tourist was quite an attraction for him as well. I had to join my guys, he had to join his companions, so we drifted apart, but this moment struck me hard, for I had realised how different our lifes were. We were about the same age, we looked at each other with interest, but if we were to talk, we probably wouldn't understand each other - our lifes and our realities were too different, we spoke different languages and we had different life purposes. It showed me how much patience one has to have to communicate with a man of other culture. It only gave me more determiantion to be a human being of an open mind and tolerance.

The title of this photograph is of course a reference to The Chronicles of Narnia. I got this kind of an association when I tried to edit it. The mountains and this whole situation were just so fairy-tale-like. Aww

New York City.

I've been having a lot of fun with Adobe Lightroom lately, I'm not sure if it shows in my pictures though and if they've become better. Many of the photos that I've edited so far are very old, like ancient. ;) (Wink) This one, for example, was taken in 2013. I was a different kind of a photographer back then and a different kind of a human being in general. I's quite nostalgic to recall these days.

tea lady II
I met this woman on tea plantations in Ella, Sri Lanka.

I'm not sure if it's a final edit of this photo, but I'm also quite sure that it's much better than the old one. -> www.deviantart.com/moophlon/ar…

butterfly
Incredible numbers of those butterflies flew around in the Matka Canyon, Macedonia. They were everywhere, even covered walls in toilets.

Vardzia
A cave monastery located on the slopes of the Erusheti Mountain, one of the most beautiful places in Georgia. I wish I was talented enough to be able to show this breathtaking view.
