Replacing Rainbow Dash with her in a race. Her determination and enthusiasm was probably the only reason they were willing to let her try.

I'm picturing it this way: Fluttershy and Bulk Biceps were upset that they couldn't race now that Dash was out for the count, and Derpy was here to help. The fact that she isn't concerned about possibly failing... suggests she is either completely oblivious or honestly thought they stood a chance without Dash.

I prefer determined over unaware, it's more inspiring that way.
