memories in a notebook page by MoonlightWolf17 memories in a notebook page by MoonlightWolf17
look at my glorious title, ah yes, isn't it cheesy?

I was doodling Felix the Cat in my notebook during geography class and it made me think.
Drawing this little guy makes me look back at my younger years, and it makes me a bit emotional to think about childhood. I admit that compared to my parents and thousands of other children, I'm pretty spoiled. Looking back, my parents worked really hard throughout the years of my existence to try to make me happy and I was really happy. I remember going to the dollar store and buying a Felix CD album of the early episodes for the first time. I think I liked Felix more than Mickey but that's besides the point why I'm making this post.

god i suck at this

I haven't been feeling really well lately. I'm not sick but I haven't been in the best head space recently. I haven't uploaded an Error Code 16 page in months (or any Invader Zim related content for that matter,) and I'm having some anxiety issues..fucking school assessments and oral presentations up on my ass. I hate venting because I feel like a whimp and an attention whore. I hate talking about my problems because I feel like people get sick and tired of hearing me speak. I'm pretty sure it's the whole "angsty teenager stage" to blame..but every time I think about life events after I left the states, I just feel like crying. (i know im the worst)

Anyways, sorry to take up your time.

Artwork belongs to me!

You shouldn't be scared to share your feelings because you're more important to us than you think. We'd be worried sick if you never said anything about what you're going through. If you have a problem, them we'd be more than glad to help you resolve it so it's not really attention seeking at all. If you just need a shoulder to cry on then I'm open for you, I really hate seeing you upset and I want to try everything I can.

I've always been used to bottling up my feelings so I don't bother anyone with my problems. It's become a habit that i've been trying to break for years. I got choked up reading this.

Thanks Chris.

It's okay, I'm sure everyone has had habits like those. Heck, I myself got used to something like that as well. you should probably find someone you trust the most to vent to.

You're welcome though, hope you feel better soon.

I know all about anxiety. I have the worst anxiety ever! I was actually in a mental hospital cause of it and that was a fucking nightmare...

Believe me, Ale. Things aren't always perfect. I too have been going through a lot of anxiety lately. It's hard, especially because I'm otherwise so happy until the little things Pierce through that. But when things are looking down, there are two good things to do (at least in my opinion). The first is to create, to do something that you enjoy. In my case, poetry. In yours, art (at least I'd assume). The second thing is to remind yourself of all the amazing and kind people in your life. Sometimes I feel all alone, until I remind myself of all those people. And it makes things a little brighter. You're amazing Ale. Every time I see a DA notification, I light up, hoping it's you. Every time I open my watching feed, my fingers are crossed that your beautiful artwork will greet me. I feel super lucky to have you as a friend, and I hope you manage to feel better soon. Sorry for this mini essay, but I just wanted to say (for probably the hundredth time) how much I care.

Until the next eureka moment,

I'm touched to hear that.
For some reason, whenever these feelings hit me I can't find myself to pick up my tablet or a pencil and draw. But when I do find the energy to draw, I always feel better afterwards. It's an outlit for me (im not good at explaining)

I always enjoy having a conversation with you as well.

Thanks <3
