Once upon a time, in the hidden heart of France, lived a king and his servants. The king ruled along side a beautiful queen. This queen was no ordinary, however. The king was only a young prince when disaster stuck his path. One night, an unexpected intruder arrived at the castle. An old beggar woman who had offered him a single rose in return for shelter from the bitter cold. Unfortunately, the prince was selfish, greatly spoiled, and was unkind to all of those surrounding him, including his poor loyal servants. Repulsed by her horrid appearance, the prince denied the offer and proceeded to laugh at the woman's pleading. Suddenly, the old woman's hagged appearance faded away into dust and arose a beautiful enchantress. The foolish prince begged for forgiveness, but it was far too late, The enchantress had already seen that there was no love in his heart. She casted a spell on the prince and his innocent servants and cursed the entire castle. As punishment, she transformed him into a hideous beast and his servants into life-sentient household antiques. As days bleed into years, the beast and the servants were forgotten by the world. There was a single enchanted rose, located in the West Wing of the castle that would begin to wilt in the day of his 21st birthday. In order to break the spell, the beast had to learn how to love another by the time the rose started to fall apart. If not, he would be doomed to remain a beast for all time. Years later, a girl arrived at the castle, seeking for her father (which the beast had imprisoned for picking a pure white colored rose from his garden.) The girl traded herself in to save her father, and the beast complied. The girl lived in the beast's castle, frightened. However, she was always entertained by the servants, for they were the ones who brought her joy and comfort her first couple of days at the castle. The girl and the beast were slowly learning to trust each other and kind what they had in common. Both of them were bookworms and both of them were outcasted by the society. As the days passed, the beast started to feel love for the girl. On a fateful night, the two confessed their love for each other and something astonishing occurred. The beast transformed back into the handsome prince that he once was. However, the prince was kinder, nurturing, and his selfishness melted away. The servants laughed and cried tears of joy as they hugs themselves and each other in disbelief, as they could finally feel human flesh instead of feathers and metal. The people in the castle lived happily, and the prince ruled as the new king of France along side his queen, bringing love and hope to all those they knew.
The enchantress visited the royal kingdom, pleased by the king's change of heart and she blessed the castle with more years of love, wealth, and happiness. She enchanted a mirror near by the dining room, and made it so that who ever looked into that mirror thought a happy thought. A thought that would encourage them to continue bringing peace to France and it's people. A thought that would encourage them to help others, look on the bright side of things, or just to simply complement someone.
A year passed since the spell had been broken. Things were back to normal. What could possibly go wrong?
All of the sudden, the mirror fell without warning and the glass shattered to pieces. Queen Belle and her servants helped clean it up, not suspecting a single thing in the world. However, the magic of the mirror inverted into something dark. Sinister. A curse that would bring back the fear and despair to the people who lived in that castle. Who ever looked in one of the enchanted glass shards, an alternate duplicate of themselves would manifest of the other side of the glass. A dimension, architecturally similar to the peaceful world they live in, but the sun never rises. Their names became inverted. The evil alternates would possess the good ones at random times, occasionally controlling their bodies and infecting their minds with dark thoughts.
Ereimul (Lumière): Suave, lustful and manipulative, this man is all for action. His charm overshadows his insecurities and he enjoys inflicting pain on his partners. Ereimul is quiet but not reserved. He's confident enough to woo anyone in pubic eye, but he doesn't speak much during regular conversations. Ereimul would jump at any deal offered by the queen. Weather it's to murder someone or fetch her a glass of water, he remains loyal to his dearest queen and takes pride in serving her.
Htrowsgoc (Cogsworth): Frigid and anxious, yet so calm and forgiving. Htrowsgoc (the "h" is silent) isn't as tense like his counterpart. He's very relaxed in comparison, but extreamly submissive. He shows affection towards one of his colleagues, Ereimul even though his love interet's violent nature scares him. Htrowsgoc isn't scared of violence, just the thought of Ereimul being violent towards him if he were to be in a relationship with him. Htrowsgoc is the butler as well as the archer in battle and hunts, timing his attacks and noting his kill count. He lives to impress the queen and would do anything she wishes in return for food or the right to live.
Ecirtaeb (Beatrice Potts): Do not be decieved by the woman's old apperance. As the executioner, Ecirtaeb is skilled with the axe. Making a clean cut every moment she takes the lives away of the "guilty." By "guilty," I mean anyone who is disliked by the queen. A wicked, merciless woman who kills on demand. A simple stare brings prisinors on their knees and sends chills down their spines.
Ettebab (Babette): She's attractive, seductive, and frivolous beyond belief. This young woman is not someone you'd like to anger. She carries a dagger everywhere she goes, as it dangles on a belt strapped to her thigh. Ettebab is obidient to Elleb, yet she doesen't like her as much, while the other servants glorify her. Being so vain, she compares herself to queen Elleb constantly and believes she is far more beautiful than her excellency. Of course, if she says this there is no doubt her head will roll on a puddle of her own blood minutes after. Despite bearing a weapon, Ettabab does nothing more than clean the castle.
