SA | CP 2.4 | It's the dawn...

Kanaloa didn’t know his potions. He woke up when he shouldn’t have woken up at all. He woke up rejuvenated. Literally. His eyes opened and he found himself at a cleric’s ward. For a second he wondered if he had been reborn, but he quickly realized he wouldn’t know his old self. Then how? Had he not drunk enough? He already regretted his decision. It had not been the peace he had been looking for. He passed in and out of conscious till a friendly face delivered the news. Instead of dying, Kanaloa somehow turned younger. He didn’t know how, but he didn’t care. He took it as a sign and he would thank Cascade for every day after for keeping him from making the most stupid mistake of his whole life. It was a miracle that it had not been his final one.

Once he had recovered enough to walk, a feat that seemed to go much quicker in this younger body of his, morning found Kanaloa looking out over the sea again. As he watched the sun slowly break through the water’s surface, he pondered his new lease on life. Clearly there were still things he had to do and he’d let the gods guide him towards it. With new found optimism, he swore he’d pursue the things that called to him with all his might. Perhaps it was time he started creating his own happiness. It was after all the dawn of a new day and there opportunities aplenty.

He closed his eyes and for the first in a long time smiled as the first sunbeams hit his face.
