Sweet overload 🍨
It's been ages since I drew something different than childbook animals
Well, I guess lying in a bed of cotton candy would be more sticky than comfortable, but let's imagine it's light and fluffy as a cloud...
I was inspirated by a recipe for a freakshake (strawberry milkshake with a donut, marshmallows, striped straws and cotton candy*), and the whole time I had the song 'California dreaming' stuck in my head 😅...and this is the result
*If you have never seen a freakshake, don't google the images; you'll get an instant diabetes

This is the cover illustration, and i'm sorry that I can't upload more stuff, because it's currently in sale. But I will, later on
I have to touch the book constantly, only to make sure it is real ~ I still can't believe my eyes Yay!
It's a nice coincidence that the release date matched the current frog mating season... And the end of the story is romantic too 😘

I would like to ask you about your opinion concerning the name which you use as an artist.
I have a Facebook fanpage for my art, with a nickname (and I have a nickname also on DA). But - right now my very first written and illustrated book is going to be published, and it will be under my real name.
Now I wonder if I should use my real name (and have a consistency across all kinds of social media and promoting sites), with the disadvantage of losing a bit of privacy, or keep the nickname on other sites, and have my real name only on a business cards (which is a bit confusing for potential customers).
What do you think? What is better for an illustrator? Do you have an experience with this kind of problem? I'll be very thankful for your advice

O Holy night
"O holy night! The stars are brightly shining,
It is the night of our dear Saviour's birth." 🌟✨
I can't believe it's already the Second Sunday of Advent; time really flies by, especially before Christmas, when I would like to enjoy a more quiet and peaceful season 😔
Like these two little rats! 🐁
Besides the obvious message of the beauty of the silent, holy night, where all is calm and all is bright, I would like to dedicate this drawing to all the hero rats finding landmines and detecting tuberculosis at www.apopo.org, and all the lab rats dying while we are finding cures for fatal deseases. We should have a bigger respect and thankfulness for these precious animals.

With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand.

Now come the wisemen from out of the Orient land."
