I know a fantastic TV series you'd love, the "Robin of Sherwood" series from the mid 1980s. There is a character on that called Hern the Hunter, who has a Deer head headdress.

Here is a link to the series, https://mytvchannel.org/robin-of-sherwood.html#a1618. To me, this series was by far the most authentic version of the Robin Hood legend. There were only three seasons with 26 episodes in total (six in season 1, eight in season 2 & thirteen in the final season). But in those few episodes, the very realistic blending of real world history and the Sword&Sorcery world of myth and magic blended together just so beautifully. It truly is small, but epic.
