Wow! The FIRST entry was really awesome. I saw his main profile and he had a lot reality in his work explanation. Claps for [link]

I know it's been a while since this was posted, but do you have the 1st place artwork in question? The artist has deactivated his account.

[link] I need some opinion, thanks
great layout in panel 3 with the perspective and curving beams.

but the choice of colors makes it seem too cheerful considering what's going on.
albertoarh's avatar
Thanks for your reply, i like the colors in that way, but you are right about it broke the " rules " of schematics minds, and it is contradictory if my goal were the win, but i cannot go against what i feel.

Nice work, ฺีwill be better for the Darkness if you make it looks more thrilling. :)

Thank you, i made it heavier than normal, trying to made it looks different, i don't like the original design with a lot of big and sharp teeth, i think the darkness will win in a contest where winner have to be the more generic dark super hero; but i enjoy making the metro station and making that stupid situation more stupid than originally was, so... looking my work from that point; do you like it?
Mr-Ripley's avatar
Yes, I like it. Your style suits comedic comic more than dramatic or horror.
albertoarh's avatar
Thank you for your reply, some times the opinion of other is useful to learn about our own work. I like dramatic or horror things, but the real ones, those that can make me feel some thing, in the case of commercial art like this, i just feel i am testing a dark candy. Thanks again

You're very welcome. Keep up your work =D

Noticing that everything that placed has colors on it...which lets me know that I really didn't have time for this contest if i wanted to place..well anywhere. to bad though, saw a few line arts that were competitive at that process point! congrats to the winners!

Would you believe me if I said my wip that I decided not to finish looked almost exactly like these?
The prompt was SUUUUPER specific, I think everyone's came out looking relatively similar- which is sort of a good thing because it left it all up to the artists' true overall ability to render things.
