I am heartbroken to learn of the passing of our dear friend and community member, Olga, known to many as @Ladesire . Olga was a beloved part of the DeviantArt community for over 11 years, recently receiving the Deviousness Award in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the site and its members.
As an artist, Olga's talent shone brightly through her dramatic and captivating photomanipulations. She brought life to every piece she created, drawing inspiration from the natural beauty of her surroundings in Norway. But more than her art, it was Olga’s generosity, kindness, and unwavering support for others that made her truly remarkable.
Olga’s passion extended beyond her own work—she was a devoted leader, running multiple groups and tirelessly promoting the art of others through her feature journals. She was a constant source of encouragement, always there to offer kind words, badges, and constructive feedback to artists of all skill levels. Her dedication to helping others was so profound that she was named an "Angel Without Wings," a fitting tribute to the boundless kindness she showed to our community.
Even in difficult times, Olga continued to spread positivity, managing her groups and participating in community events while battling personal health challenges. Her resilience, creativity, and warmth touched the lives of countless artists and friends, and her presence on DeviantArt will be deeply missed.
The impact Olga had on all of us cannot be overstated. She was not just an artist, but a true friend to so many. We hope her legacy will live on through the art she created and the lives she touched.
Please join me in remembering @Ladesire , and celebrating the beautiful life she lived and the inspiration she gave to all of us.
Rest in peace, Olga. You will be forever missed and never forgotten.
