Passage of Time by Moonbeam13 Passage of Time by Moonbeam13
I'm currently working through something so bear with me..

One day at a time--this is enough. Do not look back and grieve over the past for it is gone; and do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful it will be worth remembering.

The ebb and flow of nature.........the graduation from dark to light is very calming for me, indeed. There's no texture like nature's own...........j

I hope whatever you're working through turns out ok and makes you a stronger person in the end.

This picture is gorgeous, such a strong concept. Life and time create such beautiful patterns, but it can all be washed away. Life is fragile and beautiful.

The philosophy you state in your "Artist Comments" box is nearly the same as "To His Coy Mistress" by Andrew Marvell. You may find solace in his words.

Beautiful photograph; the point of view you found was excellent.

either you or me are missing the concept of this picture.

i get the feeling that i'm supposed to see something in it, some concept, but i fail to see anything.
it's like walking into a circus tent and there's nothing there.
i'm used to not seeing stuff that other people do.
ot not seeing at all.
so i'll gladly take the blame for it.

Thanks. The poem has always stuck in my head. In the end Ozymandius is not rememered for the monuments but for his wish to be remembered. Time always wins, you're remembered how it wants you to be, not by the will you try to impose upon it.

the best thing about being a zen buddist is living in the moment .. i seldom think of the past and never think of the future (why would you I wonder)

what a great picture .. i often am stuck by the beauty of nature and the patterns she paints ..

i know of them .. it's a very neat art/zen thing ...

sort of based on the famous koen (parable/story lesson) that the moon exist / the water exist - but does the reflection of the moon in water exist

the answer is - in the moment (like disappearing art)

I worked for years on a rescue squad and saw a fair amount of death and trauma .. for many years it took it's toil (poets and trauma do not mix well)

after years of religious study - no kidding . one day - outside on a sunny winter day (with my college roomate who is now dead from aids) - doing some illegal drugs (it was the 70's) - i became enlighten . the answer was (and i know this sounds hokey but it's so true) .. Shit Happens ..

ever since that moment I could accept the things i saw and witnessed

thanks you .. you are a true inspiration and i can see the spiritual side within you ..

my wife and i are great lovers of the moon light and follow the old ways and cycles

I think you have a great sense of irony to have named such a still photo after something which is in motion. I think, also, that somehow you've managed to give the water the look of a desert.

Yes, life is a bumpy ride…and soo, so worth it, bruises and all. I'm sorry for your pain, moon, but I'm not worried about you in the least. I know you know what I mean.

It's not an afterthought though is seems like one; the pic is lovely and relevant, as usual.
