Terra should be the representative of Final Fantasy instead of the overrated Cloud. She has more history with Nintendo and comes from the best game on her series.

You FF6 fans look so insecure. Can't you praise her without bashing Cloud. smh
Its like when fat chicks make fun of girls for being skinny. It just makes you look petty and insecure.

You are wrong The comparison is natural. While FFVI has well written and developed charismatic characters, FFVII has the most flat and boring characters of the saga (Barret being the least bad to have development despite not having charisma).
The problem is that, for some reason, people prefer an Edgelord with nothing that makes him endearing to a pseudo-protagonist (Because FFVI does not have a protagonist) that manages to open up to the public.

Can we Final Fantasy fans get along? lol

I consider Final Fantasy VI as my favorite Final Fantasy, second only be Final Fantasy X. Though if it wasn't for Final Fantasy VII, I wouldn't even KNOW about Final Fantasy. Both games(FFVI and FFVII) have considerable flaws, but both are great by their own right. Kefka is not original, yes, but he wasn't the type of villain with a sad back story...or relatable, he's just damn right bat shit crazy which is part of his appeal--the Joker appeal. Sephiroth was definitely a great villain, but I honestly look at Hojo as the main antagonist and Sephiroth just got warped because of the actions of his crazy ass. Honestly, Hojo and Kefka are so damn similar it's amazing.

FFVI was not boring TO ME, but that's MY opinion. FFVII wasn't boring to me, but that's MY opinion. But I did find the cash cow attempts on it to be agitating but Square Enix is a business so they'll do what companies do AND TRY to make money off something that works. I'm excited for the Remake, personally.

FFVI characters' style and personality fit the writing during those times and Amano's art always have a lot of vibrant colors to them. Maybe that's the flamboyant part YoshiCrusader speaks of? Either or, I find most of the characters interesting and FFVI did a great job making sure MOST of them are handled well with their own side stories and quests. The only one I can say is forgettable in FFVI is Umaro and GOGO, but GOGO was good for gameplay value. FFVII.... I think Caith Sith is my least favorite but I think I'm not alone in that.

I find Tidus THE MOST relatable, but that's just my back story and life. Someone else can find Cloud or even Squall to have more similar qualities depending on experience.

I'm not a FFVI fanboy nor am I FFX fanboy, I'm a Final Fantasy fan. Even a game like FFVIII, FFIX, and FFXIV that I don't care much for, I can see the appeal and actually enjoyed FFVIII and FFIX while I played it. I know I sound like a complete pacifist, but as the person who commissioned this art and love the game Terra Branford came from, I think I am more than allowed to intervene to try and see if the volatile place called the internet can calm down.

Great day to you both.

Oh, Happy Birthday FFVI! :D

You sound so fucking stupid I don't even know where to start.
Cloud was not bland and boring. When his full past is revealed in Disc 2,
it made him the most endearing, relatable, interesting and depressing characters of the entire franchise.
Your BIAS blinds you from that.

I almost doubt you've played 7 now. No one who's experienced Cloud's true past and trauma with Zack would say he was flat. That's pure, unfiltered, stupidity.

People didn't love Cloud because he was an edgelord. Though that helped. (At the time)
FF6 was the one that was pretty boring tbh. The characters were flamboyant but nothing much else to them. Save for Terra and Celes. In 7 Tifa, and Vincent more than counter this.
And back to what I said earlier, you FF6 fanboys always bring up 7 every chance you get. So you can bash it. Where as FF7 fans hardly talk about FF6.
It makes you look insecure af. Like when ugly girls diss the pretty ones before getting to know them.

Kefka isn't even an original villain. We've seen Evil clowns before. (Joker, Pennywise)
Sephiroth (at the time) was something new.

Terra is such a lovely lady. She's my favorite Final Fantasy character. Good job with this image of her. Especially with the flames on her sword and the magic in her free hand. :)
