This is the prayer to the Abbonna, divinities of all physical and visual arts:
To you I pray, sweet and agile Abbonnna,
Here I am, a worshipper of your arts and talents,
Asking of thee if you would grace me with your skill.
I ever honor you in my prayers that that I send to you.
You Abbonna of the graceful fingers that strum the Yuya,
Dance about in most divine harmony, as one,
And your voices flow like the wind, in a voice of myriad sound.
Your song is to and of the gods, for us all to hear and admire.
When I write my sacred verse, you lean in and whisper close,
And your voice is like many celestial choirs layering upon another.
When I go to write or draw, or carve, these words you speak inspire me,
Your hand touches mine and guides the fingers to create a fair harmony.
Gracefully bedecked Abbonna all, loards and ladies of the arts,
Guide my hands as I weave and knit, guiding shuttle and needle.
