An open letter to Craig and Lauren.
A lot us were rocked by Craig’s recent announcement that Wander over Yonder will not be continued. Of all the things that can happen in life that’s pretty low on the giant list of “Horrible things that will happen to you.” Certainly worse than spider bite but not nearly as bad as being attacked by a rabid possum.
However we will miss stories about the adventures of that heart-warming little fur ball. On mopey and crabby days he made life just a little bit better. Seeing a show that still had a lot more to offer dropped is mildly depressing.
Please end the madness and embrace crowdfunding.
You have stories to tell and your massive audience would like to watch them. It would be so very nice to do so without the distraction of creative differences, premature endings and all that other nonsense that occurs when you don’t control your creation.
Come up with a project, consult your appropriate connections in the industry and set up a sane budget. You’ve created enough quality content and fostered enough goodwill that we will give you the money you need. Then we will give you far more than you seriously need and you will have to figure out what to do with it.
It is time.
