First off thanks to everyone who offered their advice as to my next step in my career. You all deserve a part in one of my movies in the future.

Hello everyone. So as it turns out I'm moving, moving to Chicago. It's a bit scary. I don't know anyone there. On top of that It'll be the first time I'll be living on my own. But at the same time it's kinda exciting.

For one I'm taking a job at a very well known video game company. If you do your sleuthing it's pretty easy to figure out which one. One thing I'm excited about it the fact that my ideas are going to be put to use in a medium that I've grown up with for most of my life. On top of that I'll be among working professionals who'll help me grow yet even more. Just when I thought I'd capped off in skill and was ready to work hardcore, I'm once again tempted with the limitless possibility.

Anyhoo that sums it up.

One of the other things I was worried about was whether or not it would be possible to continue my movie making while working at said company. But things like doubt I leave for other people to taste. I've got waay too much to do to waste my time with doubt.

I also expect for those of you out there who feel inspired by my work to be generating somethings soon. Half of my work was me daydreaming all my life about all these cool things. And I know I'm not the only one. So I expect to see results soon.

Also I have another movie that I HAVE to get done by June 25th

Also do keep in mind I do read all the comments and will get back to answering the questions. It's great to hear how people wanna know how it's done, and at some point I'll find the time to make some really in depth tutorials. As well as even go as far as sharing my personally generated motion data with you. Anything I can do to get more people doing this.

Yeah, I know the company I think. The same company I've been talking to since last year. Told me if I learn 3D then I have a position with them. :o But I think that even when I learn it I don't know what I'll do to be honest since I'm already working professionally for a company in Atlanta doing 2D.

Congratulations and good luck! I plan on going to the International Arts and Design School in Toronto once I'm out of high school. I'm now 100% sure what area I want to work in, but my hopes are to work with video games and graphics. Your stuff's been great to watch, and I plan to look up your name in games in the future! Again good luck!

Midway or EA. There are 2 now...

Either way, they're better now with you on board. I live in Lincoln Square, a 20min L ride into the Loop so message me for any advice (cheap food) on the area.

just a question...tell us the name of the software house! =P
Anenome Featured By Owner May 24, 2007
Good job, good decision. Now don't become one of those who rests on their laurels. Start putting together a real portfolio of your work for the future, including what you do at this new company. Keep some side-projects going. With your talent you can easily do pre-visualizations on an original game idea to show gameplay and dynamics in order to sell the idea to a publisher and whatnot. And that's just one idea. ;P

you're gonna be a very succesful person later, I can tell

Hey, I thought your work was amazing. Good luck at your new job. I'm not disappointed that you're not going to be making any more films because I know somewhere you'll be doing better. I've got a lot of respect for you, those looked like they took a lot of work and imagination. You'll go far in that company. As for making it out on your own, yeah it's scary and Chicago isn't the friendliest of places but work hard and save up and you'll find you have everything you need.

Tutorials would be BOSS! (did I say boss? I did! :giggle: )

See, before I saw your movies, I wasn't very inspired to branch out beyond pencil/digital comics. I often thought, "Gee, how wonderful would it be if I could one day animate my stories." But I figured the best I could hope for was finding someone that knew how, and putting that effort in their hands since I'd never know.

But then you came along. :) I heard a rumor that you were self taught (Actually I think it was in your FAQ), and the inspiration dam broke! With practice, I could do that with MY stories!

You're moving upward and onward, and like water, I move in to fill the void. :) I probably won't be making movies quite like you have any time soon, but I suspect you've raised the community bar for Excellence. :D And I'm up for the challenge.

Have fun in Chicago! And don't let all this go to your head. ;)

Well congrats, man! I wish you all the luck in the world. Moving out for the first time does ahve its good and bad points. Well, bad points like figuring out how not to ruin your clothes in the wash... Otherwise not bad. Moving to Chicago seems like a major step. :O Hence why I wish you alot of luck! Maybe some of the guys you work with will give you a run of the city. Well good luck, dude!

There are several fantastic artists living in the chicago area, i believe ono of them is *Michelle84 and she happens to be one of my more favorite artists around the web. I wish you success and i hope that one day we can collaborate as professional.....i still have to go to college though. Hey after that, ill be tracking you down so we can work together :D

Woah, this was just posted when I sat down.

Hello thar. Nice to see the work is getting moved ahead onto bigger and greater things, hope it all works out. I myself would like to have the opportunites you have, but I haven't got the power or time to make a worthwhile portfolio as you have in making this video.

Maybe you can send me some ideas sometime
