Finally they started the new girl on my shift.
MORE TIME FOR ART!
Less money for materialism...
Wish somehow I could be in on those DA meets. I think I would have some unique traits that I could contribute, and even more to learn.
BTW. Some stuff is still beyond me, stuff I'm sure you guys find to be second nature.
For example, what's all this talk about 1:8 or 1:18, or whatever. I have a general idea it has something to do with focus. But I'm still in the dark a lot about most of photography, could someone please explain.
its a good question! we're referring to a 50mm lens that has a maximum aperture of F1.8. this means the 'iris' of the lens can open pretty DAMN wide. (F11 for example only opens the iris a tiny bit letting only a little bit of light through). naturally at 1.8, a tonne of light comes in while blurring the background enourmously. (F14 for example wont' blur the background as much).
the standard lens that comes with the 300D is an 18-55 i think. it's a good starter lens. but you'll end up disliking it after a few weeks.
