Rest Well Old Friend by montyoum Rest Well Old Friend by montyoum
Well here it is folks. The computer that changed my life. I bought this laptop with money I didn't have on the gamble that it'd be enough to let me make Haloid, Dead Fantasy I, & the first half of Dead Fantasy II. It's served me well enough that I used the crap out of it for the last 3 years. It's time to move forward.

P.S. I hate you Windows 7

I laughted so hard.
I have similar relationship about Windows 10.
My computer at work has it installed and I can't find half the things installed.
And the design is ugly as fuck.

Windows 7 is badass. Probably the best iteration of Windows since XP. It's not the processor you have trouble with, it's the hardware. That laptop looks like an HP or a Dell. Both of which suck. You need to invest in a laptop that's probably 2k if not more and has a good cooling system. Windows 7 is fast and easy and does everything you need it to do if you know how to run it properly. At least it's not a goddamn Mac with restrictions out the anus.

Exactly what a well-used laptop looks like after a few years. (unless you take care of it better than you would a child)

As for 7, If what you don't like is an interface issue, just grab a retro them, they are all over the place. 7 is so much more stable than Vista, let alone XP, it's not even funny. (XP looks to vista the way 98 did to XP)

Also, first thing you should do with a computer is reformat and do a clean install with a clean copy of Win 7 (you can get the disks from MS for a small price, or... acquire one through... other means. Either way, make sure to install a 64-bit version if you have a CPU that supports it (most do now days) because the overall performance is as much as 50%, and it still runs all of your 32-bit program just the same (some better even)

Seeing a laptop come to a such wrecking demise... It saddens my hearts to no ends. A laptop or computer which has served well over years that have come to it's rest, should be taken to the electronic recycling centers where they can be recycled and be born again, waiting to be used by their next caring owners. Such conclusion... Is just too much for my heart to bear ;_;

If you don't like Vista, then 7 is not the way to go. I'll give Microsoft credit though, it does run better then Vista, just be careful when installing SP1 (lol). Seen it scramble more then enough machines already.
