Autumn Birch Forest

This was an art class piece from a couple of years go, really interesting exercise using strips of masking tape roughly torn to do the trunks, with a blue wash for the sky, the autumnal leaf effect, only when your are happy with that do you peel the masking tape off then add the birch markings, and shading to give the effect of fore and distant trees. I have uploaded this for February Forest theme.
Painted on A4 Daler Rowney Aquafine 300gm2 grain fin Cold Pressed NOT paper, using Daler Rowney Aquafine watercolour pocket set, using my trusted gold Taklon brushes.
