The point where you just say fuck it ?

:)

joyful abandon While riding a wrecking ball .... it feels so appropriate .... I am reminded of Slim Pickens riding the bomb in Dr. Strangelove.

I know I am/I sound old when I say this .... but this has been an insane year....watching the world break is not as fun as I thought it might be ..... :)

but this brings me a little joy..... even if it is anxiety filled .

thank you chobek  so happy to have brought a smile to you, despite the multiplying disasters... I think someone else mentioned Dr. Strangelove too; I suppose I could have written "Have a Nice Day" on the virus, but whatever.. I am glad there are many possible interpretations. It has indeed been an insane year, and we haven't even had the US election yet.

Initial thoughts of satire and popular culture.

Questions of death and sex poised at the mace head, ultimately overwhelmed by the wrecking ball of nature and evolution.

Excellent artwork Monty 🤠

Thanks! Glad to know it provoked some thoughts.. I still can’t decide if this is even meant to be a serious piece or a silly one. I guess it’s just a bit of both.

A pendulum , hits the spot at both ends of the swing.

Kali-like destructive force of nature.

Thank you for sharing, and also enjoyed comments, 'twerking from home' still laughing at that one .

Oh my. From all your Corona pics this one is the best. Reminds me of a music video i once saw :-)

Wouldn’t involve someone licking a hammer would it? :o if so, it’s the same one I was thinking about ;) Thanks chain-man.. I think they make a decent triptych when placed side by side:)

Double whammy--her wrecking ball will turn the material world upside down while she does the same to the spiritual world. :-)

Hard to think of positives coming from this appalling disease.. but social change might be one of them... that’s clearly what Miley Cyrus was going for in her video.. just needed a little push from me :)

Glad to see you are keeping current with Miley Cyrus, Monty. :-) I'm still kind of spinning my wheel in the Billy Ray era.

Two things we learned here in California during the pandemic: (1) we really can get everything done without the daily commute to the office; and (2) for a whole lot of folks, the economy will be fine with or without them doing their jobs. I'm sure we'll be seeing some rather noticeable changes further down the road.

By the way, I presume these days, Ms. Cyrus is twerking from home.. :wow:

mahashiva001's avatar

I hope that's a separate home from Billy Ray's, or there might be trouble in the Cyrus household.

she is probably one of your neighbours :D

Can't be. The average age in my neighborhood is about 70.

Yeah, totally agree.. throw in climate change and the rise of A.I., and it’s pretty clear the status quo is knackered. (And I don’t mean the rock band.. I’m sure they will go on forever).. Whether we’re in for a dystopian nightmare or a golden age, it’s too early to tell. I hear both being confidently predicted.

mahashiva001's avatar

Yep, whatever happens these days, there is always somebody who has confidently predicted it. I'm just waiting for the day when I can send a robotic clone of myself to work every morning so I can stay home of play with Photoshop. No--three of them, or five.

montycrusto's avatar

what if the robotic clone wants to play with photoshop as well? I confidently predict problems...

mahashiva001's avatar

Him? Over my dead body! No, wait--I take it back...

also how do I know you're not the clone? That would explain the "001" in your name..
