Description: Roundhead’s are large reptilian Metafauna which stand at 7 feet tall, are 31 feet in length, and weigh around 2.8 tons. Their hide is entirely white with black stripes, allowing them to blend in with each other as well as the grasses they live amongst. The black stripes are known not just for their camouflage but also to ward off blood drinking parasites. Both males and females possess a forward pointed rounded head crest, however males possess larger head crests which possess green stripes. The Roundhead possesses a large beak at the end of their mouth, which consists of said beak, thick jaws, and thick molars. While their mouths are quite strong they possess a diet of long grasses primarily, but when grasses are hard to come by they will supplement their diet with shrubbery, branches, bark, and even the nests of mound building insects, as a result venturing near them is quite dangerous as they are capable of delivering a bone breaking bite.

The hind legs of a Roundhead are much larger and longer than their front limbs, allowing them to achieve a bipedal stance in order to gain a higher vantage point or to allow them to stomp downward with more power. They are also known for their thick stiff tails which allow them to achieve a level of balance on their hind legs, allowing them to rear up for long periods of time or even run bipedally for a distance. They are native to the vast savannahs of Agniria and are one of the larger species of Agesevalda. Roundheads will roam constantly through the long grasses of the savannah and are known to bully predators away from watering holes. Roundheads live in large mixed herds of 85 members for most of the year, with each herd actually being led by the eldest male. The herd is quite tight nit as a whole and if one member should spot a predator it will make a startling sound causing the herd to congregate together and make aggressive movements such as rearing up or snapping their mouths. If the predator is not deterred the herd will surround them quickly and will attempt to stomp them to death, however if the predator should take out 10 or more they will quickly back off and make a break for it.

During mating season multiple herds will come  together to form a massive colony of 700 individuals within a specific nesting site for a period of time. Once in the nesting site the females and males will cluster into separate groups, and the males will cluster together and will trot together in a zigzagging pattern while raising and lowering their heads quickly, releasing a small sound each time they move their head. Once a female has seen a male she likes she will approach the group which will stop and allow her to approach the male she desires. After the two have met the dance will begin again until another female approaches and if the previous pair matched each other well they will leave to mate, though the male may rejoin in the dance after if he so desires. Once all females have mated and the female group has dispersed the mating period will conclude and the herd will return to a communal sense.

Females will dig out a pit and will fill it with leaves and soft plant material, depositing their eggs within. The mothers will sit on the nest for a period of 4 hours after laying to recover energy, establish their scent and create a bond with the nest itself. They will then cover the eggs with more vegetation as well as dirt to cover the scent of the nest and camouflage it with the surroundings. Once covered the mother may go out and forage, returning periodically to lay on top of the nest and provide warmth, while the decaying plant material maintains it. After 2 months the eggs will hatch and the herd will raise the young communally, until the conclusion of breeding season. Once the season concludes the colony will disperse into slightly larger herds as the mothers will bring their young along with them and allow them to live with them until they reach maturity.

Abilities: Bone Breaking Bite, Complex Communication, Stunning Kick, Tail Smack, Warding Stomp

Powers: Sonic Boom

Naturia: Wind

Bone Breaking Bite: Due to their diet and their beaked mouths they are able to deliver a powerful bite to ward off opponents.

Complex Communication: Due to their head crests they are capable of producing a complex repertoire of vocalizations to communicate with members of their herd, though some sounds have to be generalized for non herd members.

Sonic Boom: The Roundhead can infuse their vocalizations with Naturia wind Energy allowing them to amplify these vocalizations to achieve a sonic boom. Under most circumstances they limit said frequencies to simply stun a particularly aggressive opponent, as this will allow the herd to quickly gather together to dispatch said opponent. Under extreme circumstances a Roundhead can amplify their sonic boom ability to be powerful enough to crack stone, knock an opponent out, or cause an air embolism within the lungs of an opponent resulting in their death.

Stunning Kick: A Roundhead can produce a powerful kick with their hind legs which is able to stun or injure an opponent. Particularly they have been known to cause heavy damage to humanoids due to kicks to the digestive and respiratory system.

Tail Smack: Due to their thick stiff tails they make for excellent blunt weapons and can be used to smack away opponents which approach them from the rear or knock over small vegetation.

Warding Stomp: A Roundhead can use their ability to rear up onto their hind legs to achieve a stomping ability, and they can use this to knock down opponents and if the predator is smaller than them they can easily break a bone or cause injury to the vital organs.

General Weaknesses: Age, Illness, Injury, Nasal Strain, Separation, Sonic Backlash

Naturia Weakness: Fire

Age: Young and elderly Roundheads are generally more vulnerable to predation than healthy adults.

Fire: Roundheads are particularly vulnerable to Fire and Fire Naturia attacks from either predators or weapons.

Illness: Roundheads are vulnerable to many maladies which can result in them becoming an easy target for predators. They are particularly vulnerable to nasal diseases as a large amount of mucus can impede their ability to vocalize or produce a Sonic Boom.

Injury: Roundheads are vulnerable when injured.

Nasal Strain: Overuse of their Sonic Boom can result in their nasal passages becoming strained and can even result in damage to the internal structure, resulting in nosebleeds or a permanent dampening of their vocalization ability.

Separation: Separation from their herd can result not only in an increase in vulnerability but an increase in stress and anxiety within the separated individual.

Sonic Backlash: The Roundhead is not immune to the effects of their Sonic Boom, and have been known to receive damage to their beak or bone as a result of releasing a particularly powerful Sonic Boom, though these injuries are not severe most of the time it is not unheard of for a Roundhead to accidentally blast off a part of their beak by accident.
