Visser: Dule Fansa by Monster-Man-08 Visser: Dule Fansa by Monster-Man-08
A rather fanciful name, don't you think?

Visser Three morphs this in the 20th Animorphs book, the first part of a trilogy about a new Animorph.
The Dule Fansa can 'fire' it's spiked arms at foes, destroying anything it hits.

BOOK: Animorphs #20 - The Discovery

Animorphs and all related characters belong to K.A. Applegate

Thanks for the reference! This is exactly how I pictured it as I'm reading the book now in which Visser Three changes into the Dule Fansa. Fantastic work!

Some walls got knocked down. I'd quote for you, but I'm lending out my copy of book 20 to a friend right now.

Always glad to see another interpretation of a non-major Animorph creature, especially when they're "official" (like that lovely poster you linked before).

The clothing is an interesting choice. I wonder why steam is coming out of it.

I never played the game. Do you think an actual 3D-modeled Dule Fansa appeared in the game?

I looked at this, and I immediately recognized it. I didn't know from which book it came, but it struck of a cord with me. :)

You know what? I really want to know WTF is going on on other planets that creatures evolve into things that can SHOOT SPIKES OUT OF ITS ARMS. I mean honestly.

I like this, though. Makes me think of Gossamer from the Bugs Bunny cartoons. You know, if Gossamer was from HELL.

Bliiiinding purple! The book described it as Barney the Dinosaur-esque purple, which you nailed, incidentally. This was my favorite creature from the Animorphs books (excluding Hork-Bajir Chronicles, which has too many monsters to choose from).

Also, yes, the Galilash. Described in the Hork-Bajir Chronicles as "fourteen feet tall, with red and green reptilian flesh and razored tentacles", which happens to be my favorite alien animal of all time.

Have you read the Hork-Bajir Chronicles? It has a variety of interesting aliens and beasts; the Jubba-Jubba, the Gorks, the Arn, a bunch of nameless things...

I do wonder why they made Barney such an eye-burning color. They used that color for radiation hazard signs!

Anyway, I've read the Hork-Bajir Chronicles. Neat creatures, and interesting clash of cultures. I always wonder what the nameless horrors were.

Things with fangs that could chew down a tree, things with quills twenty feet long, things that squirted acid. And something big and yellow. No further descriptions or names, sadly.
The Ellimist Chronicles also had a variety of aliens, but they had names and no descriptions. I'd like to see your depiction of a Ketran!
