Animorphs Races: Hork-Bajir by Monster-Man-08 Animorphs Races: Hork-Bajir by Monster-Man-08
Hork-Bajir. Sounds a bit like Ork Badger, hmm...

An interesting race, the H-B. Bio-engineered to cultivate trees on a planet devastated by an asteroid impact, and kept out of their creators's dwellings by other bio-engineered creatures (such as [link] [link] and [link]).
The H-B are nowhere near as dangerous as they look, all their blades are purely for cutting out bark to eat, and their intelligence is only that of a toddler (usually), and often take the most simple, direct route, such as slicing open their own skull to prove there is no brain-controlling parasite there!

BOOK: various - The Hork-Bajir Chronicles gives perhaps the best look

I once made a clay statue of a Hork-Bajir. Squished it though...

This is more like how I pictured them when I first read the books, with huge elbow blades rather than short ones. I like this.

It DOES look a little more dragonoid than I liked to think, but it definitely looks exactly how I always ended up picturing them. Fantastic

Looks just like a walking Salad Shredder XD wonderful job! I like the shape of the blades- looks just like they're mean to cut bark, flesh would be serrated and curved. Great Job!

Yours looks WAY more awesome than I've imagined them when I read the books. I didn't know that they are that much lizard-like.

I'm going to go ahead and pretend he (I think 3 head spikes mean male?) is Jara Hamee! (I probably spelt that wrong. Imposing his lines on that image is hard but kinda funny, and cute too in a way.

Nice, a perfect bark eater, he looks either really hungry, threatened, or scared, or really mad.

The neck is a little bit long, don't you think? Other than that, the hork-bajir looks fine.

I like this take. Most versions really over-blade it; why would it need blades to cut bark on its BACK?

I kind of overblade it in my version, but it's how I pictured it. Believe it or not, I first pictured them as stout ogres wearing heavy armor!

This one seems overbladed to me too though, the elbow blades look much too long. Plus, I always pictured a more vertical face than a horizontal face (for example, a horse or a human has a vertical face, lizards etc have vertical faces.)

It has blades in all the logical places; I don't know the physics of cutting bark off a tree, so I wouldn't know about the length...
