Thanks so much for letting us know how you put this together. I'll be making my own Rin tail this year for a convention, and this was super helpful. I saw the way your tail moved on your YouTube vid, it was perfect and I wanted one that moved like that (set pose, but still swishy).
I hope braiding wire isn't that hard. I have 14 gauge wire, but it seems like it'll be a pain to work with, so I'll get 12 gauge like you did. Batting and stretch velvet will be easy, since I work at a fabric store. I might have to do something different for the tail tuft though, cause that fabric you used is hella expensive and kinda tricky to get
Looks awesome though. We don't have very good fur where I work. I might try sewing wig wefts into the tip of the tail instead, and trimming/styling as necessary. Did that for a horse tail once, and it came out pretty awesome.
